many or few?

the way we live matters if we are born again what you call burdens become joys.

if your living in sin and practicing sin as a life style you have not been changed, you have not born again.

When we believe with our hearts we are changed,, many say they believe, and are not changed they say they believe as fire insurance, but there hearts have not been changed.

True born again christian is a new creature the old has passed away .

What some do is say ok now God has done this ,we need to maintain it .

what some others do is think they have no responsibility in there salvation, and live in sin under a false idea that they are saved. they are blinded by there sin, and can not see the truth

I mean believing to the receiving of Jesus, sealed by the Holy Spirit.
Also that's a bad translation ' practising sin ' like its a sport ? No the kjv makes more sense of those verses . There are a whole bunch of folks that are in Church, going through the motions. From all outward appearance they look more Christian that actual believers. They often do more give more ect . The same with the cults. Line up a Jehovah's_Witnes ,Mormon and a Christian and a lot of folks would view the Jw and the Mormon as the true followers based on what they did and how they acted . Many have begun in the Spirit and are now trying to be made perfect in the flesh, through such things as lordship / conditional salvation.

Why is it always everyone else? I notice this about those who hold to ,lordship salvation. Its never themselves in danger ,its everyone else who's failing to live up to the standard. Ironically they themselves don't live up to the rules and standards they are imposing on others.

@Free gift -- I was just looking up 'Lordship Salvation'. What else IS salvation?! . Maybe it's You who has a misunderstanding Of 'Lordship Salvation'. John McArthur's article summed it up very well.

And 'yes' to Dave M -- post 242

Rom 6:23 . .The wages of sin is death

Serial sinners are in very grave danger of permanent residence in hell because they
have only two lives to forfeit for their sins-- the life they have now, and the one
they'll have later at their resurrection; but unfortunately, one of their lives is ear
marked for Adam's sin so they can't use that one to atone for any of their own sins.

And when they're resurrected to stand trial at the Great White Throne event
depicted at Rev 20:11-15; that'll be their last life because according to Dan 12:2
and John 5:28-29 there's only one resurrection allotted per person.

For that reason, the dungeons of hell can be compared to a debtor's prison from
which no serial sinners will eventually leave because the Bible's ratio is one life per
one sin, viz: serial sinners will never have sufficient lives of their own with which to
atone for their first lifetime's accumulation of sins.

UPDATE: 189 days have elapsed since my first comment. If the figures in post No.5
are in the ball park, then something like 11,741,436 new arrivals have checked into
the fiery sector of Hades since Oct 08, 2020.

@Beetow -- Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin Is death, But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. " It's best to quote the entire verse. "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Isn't Everyone a 'serial' sinner from birth and by nature. HOWEVER -- what makes the difference is being a "born again" sinner -- one who has been saved by grace - through faith.

So -- what is a born again person doing to help people become future residence of Heaven

ATTN: This thread has never been about the road to Heaven; its theme has always
been about the road to Hell.

If you are dissatisfied with this thread's theme, and would prefer discussing the
road to Heaven, then I would like very much for you to leave immediately, and go
start a thread of your own instead of disrupting this one's theme.

Threads are totally free of charge and no permit required so why hijack this
one for your thoughts when you can have a thread of your own for discussing
whatever you want?

What I say to one; I say to all. Either stay on topic or stay away. Don't make a
nuisance of yourself by muddying the waters with digression, complaining, and fault
finding.

..speaking of hijacking...

I am pretty sure you didn't start this thread. I did.

Have my comments been off topic, or have I made any attempt to start discussions
unrelated to your thread's original theme?

Would you like me to stop talking about the road to Hell? Just say the word.

I was just rereading the beginning posts -- it was going pretty good Until ....... and, yes, Beetow Did hijack it.

Yes, we Would appreciate that. Well -- I'll speak for myself. Yes.

I've only included heaven a few times -- after all -- that Is the other alternative.

Hmm -- Now -- why don't you share how you Really feel.

See you have me wrong, you do not understand what I am saying so let me be clear,,,,, no one is perfect and no one is earning there way into heaven,,,,,,,,so now that is straight, do not accuse me of works salvation...........I am saying salvation produces works when we are born again we are changed with a new heart and want to live to please are heavenly father because we know how much he has done for us,,

Now here is the part we most likely disagree on I say when we are born again we are changed and people will notice, our own self will notice,,,,,,,,,,,,you seem to be suggesting correct me if I am wrong, that no change is neccesarry and its just fine to go on living like you have.

Make no mistake living a life style of sin and practicing sin is not from a born again believer,,,,,,,,Jesus frees us of the enslavement of sin,,,,,,,, its all about sin knowing the difference between stumbling in sin and practicing sin is very important to understand,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

A great multitude.. "which no one could count".. this would seem to be a large number, but if we put this into perspective... the population of the Earth is about 8 billion. Even if 1 or 2 billion of them get saved,
that means 6 or 7 billion will not. Still 2 billion would qualify as a "great number

Greetings brother,

You are looking at the current population, I believe we need to look at the bigger picture, back to Moses and forward to Jesus'return. It is from the population over the period that counts, when we look at those who will actually get to heaven.

1% of 8 billion is 'Few' but 1% over time, through all the generations, can be 'Many'.

There will, I believe, be many in heaven, but compared to the population of generations across the world, over time, the number will be miniscule - 'Few'

Bless you

True, good point. I am told that there are more people alive on the earth right now, than all the people in history leading up to this generation.
But even so... there are a lot of previous generations to consider.

@Beetow -- Rev 21:22 "But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are it's temple."

Rev 21:24 "And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. "

vs 27 "But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abominations or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life."

Well -- look at Ephesians 5:5 "For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God."

There are only two locations -- either the New Jerusalem or lake of fire and brimstone

And looking back at chapter 21: 8 "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral , sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars hall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. "

Does it really say that they are spared the lake of fire and brimstone? No -- it Does say that they won't enter the New Jerusalem.

My original remarks in post No.257 were a mistake. I deleted them as quick as I
realized it; but apparently not quick enough.

So true my friend.

A question, shall we see Moses, Noah and his family, the prophets, shall we see the disciples and the apostles, shall we see our loved ones? If they were saved yes we shall.

One thing is for sure...
we will see many we thought would not be in heaven, we will not see many we thought we would see, that is providing we ensure we do everything right to be there ourselves

Bless you

shall we see our loved ones?

I would like it very much if my friends, associates, and loved ones down in Hades
were allowed visitor days because after they're transferred to the lake of fire per
Rev 20:11-15, I may never get to be with them ever again.
