Where is the solid proof that our LORD Jesus Christ is real not just in the Bible?

Greeting sister, are you really having doubts, or just asking the questions?

Now you asked can we explain without scripture? We can confirm many things quoted in scripture without using scripture because many of items in scripture are recorded in historical records, but lets not forget scripture quotes people by name and reflects certain times by doing so, keeping it simple, Pilot Caesar etc.

Now although you ask the question, I would reverse it back to you, scripture confirms scripture, without scripture you do not have The Truth, because the Truth is in The Word. Does God not tell us that he give prophesy so that when they happen we know He was in them, He said they would happen, these are given so we believe and do not need to question them. It is the devil that puts doubts in our mind, The Word reveals the Truth.

There are many other examples in the Bible given so we can know The Truth, I think the post important is that of The Holy Spirit working in the heart of a new believer so that when people see the person they know they are changed. I think being born again is the most miraculous thing that can happen to us. We become a new creation, our heart of stone is replaced with a heart of lovingly soft flesh. Are those thing not the most visible things possible of Christ in us, The Word is True, The Word is Truth, and if The Word is Truth as we have discussed how can we not believe or even question The Truth.

The Bible is not a book of words, the Bible is not 52 books of words, to the unsaved soul that is exactly what it is, they can read it cover to cover and get little or nothing from it, why? Because they are reading like a book, it is only when the Holy Spirit abides in us that The Word becomes The Living Word. It really is Emmanuel, God with us.

Doubt comes from satan, it comes from believing, the world, which our Lord sums up as those belonging to sin, the world and the devil

Did Sarah doubt? Yes she did? Why did she doubt? Because she looked at things in an earthly way

Genesis 18:9-14 (NKJV)
9 Then they said to him, "Where is Sarah your wife?" So he said, "Here, in the tent."
10 And He said, "I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son." (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.)
11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, "After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?"
13 And the LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?'
14 Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."

Acts 16:31 (NKJV)
So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

You asked for confirmation without scripture, I hope I have gone some way to providing that for you sister, when the Holy Spirit abides in your heart, you are born-again, Her reveals The Truth in The Word to us, from The 'LIVING' Word. Therefore The Truth has been fulfilled through The Word through Prophesy, written down ahead of time, before they happen, just as God said things would happen, so we will believe.

Does Heaven exist? If you believe what we have discussed you will believe heaven exists.

Also Brother-Paul I was asking God what I should be doing now so he sent me to Talk Jesus and here I find a message from you from an old post I'd done and there in plain black and white was the message from you to say 'pick up your Bible'!
I was thinking of starting with the Gospels but then someone said it would be good to start with John. Can you suggest where I should start please?
:)

John is the fourth Gospel, it is my favourite for sure.

Chapter 3 for me is so important especially verse 1 to 21

But I love Chapters 14-17, to be honest for me I love it all, this Gospel is more uplifting.

If you are hungry for the Word, if you are thirst for The Word, read John's Gospel, you can go back to the synoptic Gospels later.

Bless you

Are you referring to

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Corinthians 12:15 (NJB)
and I am more than glad to spend what I have and to be spent for the sake of your souls. Is it because I love you so much more, that I am loved the less?

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLV)
He answered me, “I am all you need. I give you My loving-favor. My power works best in weak people.” I am happy to be weak and have troubles so I can have Christ’s power in me.

@Josephine2006

I made an error in providing the three translations of v9 above, the New Jerusalem Bible, I included v15 for some reason. Tired!

Here is a fuller comparison...

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 (NKJV)
Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.
And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 (NJB)
About this, I have three times pleaded with the Lord that it might leave me;
but he has answered me, ‘My grace is enough for you: for power is at full stretch in weakness.' It is, then, about my weaknesses that I am happiest of all to boast, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me;
and that is why I am glad of weaknesses, insults, constraints, persecutions and distress for Christ's sake. For it is when I am weak that I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 (NLT2)
Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away.
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Thank you Brother-Paul, for taking the time out to relay all that information.
I hope you're okay and got a decent nights sleep last night. You said you were feeling tired? :sleeping: lol

Hi sister

I have quite a few health issues and I am disabled, can only hobble about but use a power wheelchair to get around. I do struggle with varying degrees of pain 24/7, it can drive me down and I do get very tired at times due to not sleeping properly. But there are people worse off than me, I just get on with life and Praise the Lord for every day.

Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'

Romans 8:28 (NKJV)
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Bless you

Hi there Brother-Paul!
I'm really sorry to hear you haven't been sleeping well and that you have many health issues.. I know there are others worse off than you but you should always acknowledge how difficult things are for you sometimes and not dumb it down. You must have compassion for yourself and your situation. It's okay not to be okay sometimes :) .. I'm thinking of you and will pray that you have some better nights sleep ahead, to get you back on track!
Blessings brother. :love:

solid proof lies with in the heart of a believer, once you see the change in yourself, you know you are a new creation. It truly amazing.

Recognizing you are a sinner and need a savior.

it is a bit like a grub becoming a butterfly. Next time you see a butterfly, try as hard as you can to see it as a grub, you won't, because it is NO LONGER the old cat it used to be. It has been transformed!

Where is the solid proof that the new creature was once a grub?
Sure, we can have all the talk and pictures and that but if we can believe all that, [about someone's pat, prior to believing] we should be able to read and believe the Bible about Jesus and all the multitude of stories of men and women who have been converted by the hearing of the Word for the last two thousand years.
There is no excuse to question any solid proof if you are honest. Sure, to an unbeliever [ i used to be one] you can think that they are all nuts, but if anyone really wants to strike up a fraction of a dot of integrity about themselves, they can't really deny that the proof is there and has been for a long time.

Bless you Dave ....><>

Thank you Dave M,
Fortunately I have come a long way since I first posted this thread. I have no issues with this matter anymore. I am a new creation and my life has changed immeasurably. Every day I wake with a heart full of joy and with a new song in my mouth, excited for the day ahead! It's been a long hard road and it continues. Now I have the grace of God to guide me, which in itself very reassuring :). He gives me enough energy to get through each day, serving Him. I trust in Him with All my heart, all my strength, all my soul and all my mind and lean not on my own understanding. It's a roller coaster but there's never a dull moment!
He is my savior. My first love. He humbles me. He is my protector and my guide. His will is my will. I pray everyday that he will make me more Christlike in every way. I am a slave of Christ and cheerfully serve the Lord.
Blessings brother.
