I told you I would not respond on this subject, and so you have had your say in responding to me as a Member which is fine. However, I am also a Moderator, and I will be responding to you on the subject of, as another Brother in Christ has stated "your rudeness". I waited to see how you would respond to his admonishment of how you communicate with others (post #75). For he identified as I did your response to me in post #65. I can accept and not be bothered on a personal basis that you are rude, but since this is an open forum, and as such responses can affect others by giving them the belief that such ways of replying to others are somehow acceptable, when they are not. That is when I must act.

You've been addressed on this subject on how you lack civility in some of your replies, and so I'll be giving you a public/private warning. Continue to reply in this fashion and I'll bring it before Administrator @Chad for further admonishment, up to and including banning you.

I will repeat that this action being taken has nothing to do with your doctrinal beliefs, but solely your inability to curb words directed to others that are insulting. There is no justification for this.

Take this as the public warning, and the private one is going to be applied shortly. My hope is that this will be a wake up call for you and sufficient correction. You are not omnipotent on Talk Jesus, and having consideration of others are a necessary component for this Christian Community to run smoothly and not turn into a chaotic mess, that is evident in many sites found online. Please consider your words carefully, when you respond to others, or even to this post. This is not meant to belittle or to anger you in anyway. Rather, that you may come to understood that iron sharpening iron does not require one to beat each other over the head in order to make a point or prove oneself correct.

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

Willfully sinning is deliberately sinning. Why do you people refuse to understand the obvious truth explained in sooooooo much scriptures? I'll tell you why, because you don't actually want to stop sinning, so you twist the scriptures to justify your own sin.

Friend you do error greatly by refusing to grasp what others say and continue to twist what is actually said.

If you feel one can't or does not sin after being born again and washed by the Blood of Jesus then you must think you your self never sins.
Now we know that is not true at all.

We know that those who are in Christ who walk after the ways of God do NOT desire to sin.
Will they miss it and sin? Yes they will.

Blessings

It is you who has zero understanding of the scriptures, which is why I am here trying to explain things to you, but I've had enough of wasting my time with you. The scriptures also say warn a believer once, twice, then have nothing to do with them. So I am blocking you from here on onwards.
Thank you so much! I'm grateful for small favors!

@Life,
1 John 3:9
1. No one who is born of God habitually (practice) sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

2. 1Jo 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

One verse teaches a believer does not sin habitually, and the other teaches a believer does not "commit" (a single act) sin.

These verses are saying “two” completely different things; causing some believers to speak and believe a lie. Whether intentional or unintentional, “BELIEVERS” have been habitually lying and believing a lie for many years because of these scriptures. This also makes the “habitual” statement false – because believers are habitually lying and doing many other things contrary to truth.

Chase the verse through different versions and see what you get.
1 John 3:9 (CJB)
9 No one who has God as his Father keeps on sinning, because the seed planted by God remains in him. That is, he cannot continue sinning, because he has God as his Father.

Don't bother arguing with these people. They are seared shut in their deception and will not accept the truth, ultimately because they have been rejected by God,

so that “‘they may indeed see but not perceive, and may indeed hear but not understand, lest they should turn and be forgiven.’” (Mark 4:12)

So that through the lie they believe they may not be forgiven, and thus be condemned because of their refusal to stop sinning.

Makes it 3 different ways of looking at the verse. Someone is still lying habitually.

Two verses.....In the multitude of counsel there is wisdom...and In the multitude of counsel there is safety....Look at several versions and see which says it the same most. Know what I mean?

I use this forum to practice recalling scripture and exercise character. Satan comes to me “emotionally,” but I use his evil to make me good and strong in resisting him. I know that people reject truth, and it’s because they are carnally looking at themselves in the flesh. Someone told me today they are in the flesh and spirit; this is why they sin. We are either dead to the flesh, or dead to the Spirit; we cannot be alive to both. Thank you for your truth, so you are not posting in vain.

You are not reading my post correctly. You are a believer and I am a believer. We believe two different version of 1John 3:9. Either you are habitually lying or I am habitually lying when we are witnessing using this verse. We are believers believing and speaking a lie. Whoever interpreted these scriptures incorrectly have been deceived and have caused other believer to be deceived and liars. To you "lying" is a sin. This is a habitual sin of ignorance; and to you sin is sin.

LOL We're not disagreeing on the verse at all so far as I can see....I just showed you a safe way to find the meaning of a verse that gives a bit of trouble to understand. You don't have to do it that way.

Bendito,
To me 1John 3:9 reveals a believer's faith in what Jesus Christ said He has done on the cross. I don't take it lightly. Either He did or He did not take away the sins of the world. Salvation is based on it.

No, they say the same thing. the problem is people today do not how to interpret old English.
Whenever a word ends in "th" it is a pural context.

the definition of doth

(Archaic) do·eth or doth, present plural do;

Note is is a "plural" (more than once).

@Bendito,
There was a time when we agreed and then we became divided on this subject, so are you in agreement with povawiqe as I am?
I do NOT agree with anything the man says....There is no love in him and next to no truth. Take that as you will....I do hope you will go the way of the Word.

He took away the sin we did. He has not taken sin out of this world.

We do not willfully continue to sin because we have The Holy Spirit Living in us and our own hearts convict us because He is working in us to make us more and more able to do what pleases Him.

If you feel you have stopped sinning and never sin any more then you are only fooling your self.

We all miss the mark now and again and have sin in us.
No one has arrived at a sinless life

Note is is a "plural" (more than once).

The word “doeth” and the word “committeth is not “plural” as you are suggesting. They are both in the third person singular.

Verb (do)

Doeth” is defined as a third person form of “do.”

An example of the use of the word doeth is in the sentence, "He doeth his chores," which means "He does his chores."

Verb (committeth)

(archaic) third-person singular simple present indicative form of commit

Origin

From commit +‎ -eth, the archaic third-person singular present tense suffix

1Jo 3:9 Whosoever is born of God “doth” not “commit” sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

“Committeth” (Greek definition) G4160 refers to 4238:

G4238 (commits)
prassō
A primary verb; to “practise”, that is, perform repeatedly or habitually (thus differing from G4160, which properly refers to a single act); by implication to execute, accomplish, etc.; specifically to collect (dues), fare (personally): - commit, deeds, do, exact, keep, require, use arts.

We as believers have no mark to miss because we are not justified by the law. Only under the law could they miss the mark. Grace has not mark to miss and you cannot show me anywhere in scripture this fact.

How many times does scripture teach Jesus has “purged” your sins? If you have to be purged more than once, you were not saved in the first place because you didn't believe. If your don't believe Christ

Heb 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers ONCE PURGEDshould have had no more conscience of sins.

If Jesus purged your sins “one time” as scripture teaches, you had to confess 1John 1:9 first and then Hebrews 10:12 and 14 happened as well as Hebrews 1:3. You are either sanctified once for all or you’re not.

Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Wow that's a lot of intellectual non sense.

The old Covenant Laws are the only laws we are not under However every single command in the NT is NT Law.

To say you can not miss the mark and sin because there is no mark to miss is saying you always do everything right and are perfect.
Sin is Anything you know is wrong but do it anyway.
