Living and Dying... in sin

didn't change anything.
I simply completed the thought he was trying to get across.
What did verse 11 say?
Oh ya, he was talking about not having attained the resurrection of the dead yet.

Oh I see so in your bible Paul runs everything together as the same point

The key, which even you admit, is that one line of scripture does back up my thinking, thanks be to God.

Got that right.
Check out these verses...
"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matt 5:48)

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32-36)
[33] They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
[34] Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
[35] And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
[36] If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. “

I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me." (John 17:22-23)

“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.”
For he that is dead is freed from sin.” (Rom.6:6-7)

" There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." (Rom 8:1)

"Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (1 Cor 15:34)

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (2 Cor 5:21)

"Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you." (2Cor 13:11)

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others." (Eph 2:1-3)

" Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:" (Col 1:28)

"Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you." (Phil 3:15)

"Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity." (2 Tim 2:19)

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Tim 3:16-17)

"Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate." (Titus 1:15-16)

"But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul." (Heb 10:39)

Do you have even one scripture that refutes any of these posted exhortations on perfection?

Against the Scriptures NO

AGAINST how you define them YES

Fig seeds cannot bear grapes.
God's seed cannot bear lies, murders, and adulteries.

Yes, I am just God's seed.
My old self was killed on the cross with Christ Jesus. (Rom 6:2-6)

You stated

Your doctrine denies that we can repent..."turn from", all sin forever.
Your doctrine denies that we can kill the old man and be reborn of God's seed.
Your doctrine is one without hope, for those who are truly seeking to show God they love Him above everything else.

At Peace once again you are saying that some one said something they never did.

Your way is instant or it's false.

What I said as do others is we have the Power to over come and we can.

You claim if one repents and then sins he is not of God.

I as others have said, we can over come and we have the Power to do so but it is not always instant like you claim.

@At Peace
Greetings,

A couple of questions that might gives us a better understanding of what you mean.

You say you can't sin because God is in you.

Are you saying that since you were born again by the Seed of God that it is impossible for you to sin and you are not concerned with the things you do 24/7/365 because your flesh was crucified with Christ?

Or

Are you saying that you can't sin because your conscious won't allow you?

Thank you
Blessings to you

Yes indeed.
How about if he is intent on living in sin even after having been presented the words that would free him from service to sin?
I can't forgive something he does to God.

@At Peace
Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”

I intentionally left out that this is from the bible not me, so you are arguing with Jesus words not mine, time for some real searching my freind God bless you are in prayers today You are set in your own ways you argue with the very word of God.

here it is with the verse tied to it so you know you are arguing against the very word of God not me
Luke 17:3-4

Yes I did.

And there is my proof.

Well that gives a huge reason why you insist on things the way you understand them. You have nothing else to give you a true understanding.
Just reading the kjv is not wise.
It pains me that you think that scripture can't "give me a true understanding".

8The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the very start. This is why the Son of God was revealed, to destroy the works of the devil.
9Anyone born of God refuses to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.
10By this the children of God and the children of the devil can be distinguished: Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is anyone who does not love his brother.…
You type the words that will be used at your judgement.

Yes The seed of God can not but you are not just all God.
You are still man.
Again, I rely on the scripture you find so fallible...
It is written..."I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." (Gal 2:20)

You are being told. You must work to change by allowing the Word of God to change you.

It's not instantly done as you believe.
Sorry brother it just is not.

You are misinterpreting the scripture.

We won't be brothers till you too are reborn of God's seed.
It happens when you kill the old man and are raised with Christ to walk in newness of life. (Rom 6:3-6)
The results?
Verse 7..."For he that is dead is freed from sin."

Mr. @At Peace
The best to you in your misguided perfect belief.

I hope and pray one day you can actually humble yourself before God and admit that you might not have it all together as you think.

My salvation is in tack and my future is Good as I am in His Grip .

You might do well if you learned to not change what others say in your replies.
Blessings to you

Source? Really?
My Microsoft dictionary defines "repent" as 'abandon old habits or ways'.
Pretty lame, as it doesn't touch the word relevant to sin. but appropriate in a general kind of way.
My Strong's Concordance defines it this way..."turning from sin and turning to God".

Repentance implies a change..
That means permanently.

It is written..."...God heareth not sinners". (John 9:31)
1 Peter 3:12 states the same message.
