I suggest you read the Book of Enoch. Here is why.

And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. Genesis 5:24

And Enoch walked with God after he begot Methuselah three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters
Genesis 5:22

By faith Enoch was translated, that he should not see death, “and was not found because God had translated him.” For before his translation he had this testimony: that he pleased God.

Enoch is one of the only men to see the face of God for he walked with Him and the Bible speaks of Enochs significance. The Bible tells us Enoch was with God. The Book of Enoch contains what God told him to share with mankind. You must check it out.

The answer to your words are simple enough . The body is only the temple of the Holy Spirit . And the Image of God that we are created like are the mind , soul and spirit of each human . ( see the words of Jesus " love God with all your mind , love God with all your heart , Love God with all your spirit etc . ) it isnt the flesh that was made eternal , but the contents of the soul . It is the example of the old and new wineskins .

Is it really God who sends the " strong delusion " , or is it as the Scripture states in Romans as in reguards to mans sinfulness . That He will allow them to fall by thier own undoing . That truth isnt removed but rather it is the free will of mankind that chooses the path .

Also , God will not forsake those who are his children , even those few who will want to come to Him in the end . God is forever reaching out with His Heart , even to those who reject Him . It is why those special ministers will be filled with the Spirit , and why God will send His Two Witnesses .

I agree with your scripture but faith is originally given by God through his Grace to us. You must learn the entire Biblical truth rather than stick to a certain written word, you must know the entirety of the whole to understand the part. ONCE, God gives Faith (belief) it is up to you to nurture it through his written Word!

It sounds like you're saying that a person must know the entire Word of God in order to under a part of it. That is not so. That would suggest a 'good work' involved. Besides no one will ever fully understand all of God' Word. That would make a person omniscient -- which we know only applies to God.

It's also true that as born again believers we Are to be growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

How ever you wish to spin it Sue! I have been conversing with for years and you don't even come close to knowing me by those comments!!!

The translation of the word "send" really irritates me....I should say, the use of the word. Why? Simplly because the useage "God will send...delusion, temptation...." It contradicts the other scripture....Namely this one. James 1:13-14 King James Version (KJV) 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

All through the bible God says that Satan is the deceiver, the one who brings delusion....that Satan is the tempter the one who entices, gives trials and troubles.....

So now, YOU decide, is the word used correctly or not...Let the Holy Spirit teach you...Seek HIM out and let HIM teach you...It's obvious to me that the translators did not and screwed up.

Evidently you are not familiar with "Old Testament" stories.. And how translations are made from Language to Language, especially the translation of the "Hebrew Language."

2 Timothy
4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;
4:4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

This may not address the message of the title. I apologize if it has already been quoted. God may not tempt people although he can set the stage for it. If people truly insist on wanting to do things their way, God will provide a means for that to happen, and for several generations.

Having read the thread, I find disheartening the number of occasions people attack each other for no other reason than to declare they are right and every one should listen to them. I don't have a perfect understanding of Scripture. Why some books were omitted seems open to debate. The King James originally contained the Apocrypha. Its sources were the Torah, Septuagint, Latin Vulgate, and none of the languages used were English. A mixture of languages were used: Hebrew, Aramaic, Latin, and Greek. It was composed by over two dozen authors and copiers spanning a period of over 1,500 years. Modern Bibles claim to be right in their translation. It's a wonder any of it agrees. It's a book intended to teach its readers how to be the light and salt of the world through God's plan of redemption for mankind.
