Seriously ill

So sorry to be back again. I have been told that it is OK to ask for more prayer, so I hope that it is still alright.

Yesterday evening, I experienced a very traumatic event for me and I have been left feeling totally traumatised by it. It brought back many painful memories of being a child and of being vulnerable as a young child.

I seem to have cried for the past (almost) 24 hours. I am crying for the memories that it has evoked from my own childhood as well as for the family involved in the event and particularly the 4 year old girl.

So now I am trying to deal with this on top of everything else.

At times today, I have thought:

"I wish that I was dead!" - even though I am not actively suicidal.

My pain level is high today - which is not so surprising as I had very little sleep last night and tiredness always makes it difficult to cope with the pain.

Thank you for your prayers. I really need them. I am sorry to be a nuisance.

At the moment, I am feeling so demoralised about being a Christian. I so much want to give up because it is too hard to deal with on top of being so ill. However, there is just something that won't let me do it.

So, for the moment, here I am - ill, broken and just holding on by the 'skin of my teeth'.

Once again, I just want to say thank you and sorry to you all.

God has you in the palm of His hand. We are human beings not human doings.

Sit at the feet of Jesus and enjoy Him.

Father I pray that You will show Yourself to apple in such a special way, help her to cast all her cares onto You. May she be able to enjoy the abundant life You came to give her. Walking with You is an adventure. We are on a journey and I pray that You lead apple by Your Holy Spirit and give her Your precious peace the only peace that passes all understanding. I pray that she will be able to sing praises to You and have little pain so that she can focus on You and learn from Your Word which is living, active and sharper than a double edged sword. Make it alive for her as she reads and gets to know You better in her walk with You. I pray in Jesus' name amen.

Wow! - (By the way, that is a good sign when the wow! is back in my vocabulary!!!!!!!!!!!).

Wow! - It was as if those psalms had been written for me to read this morning. I can't tell you a favourite verse or anything like that because it was all so ...

Today has been a very bad pain day - worse than it has been for several weeks. I am so disappointed. I hate days when I have to stay in bed because of the pain.

If anybody is willing to pray for me again I would be very grateful as I don't know how to cope with this level of pain and the doctors have said that there is nothing more that they can do for me.

Thank you Jesus that what is impossible with man is indeed possible for You. I pray Father that You will deliver apple from this bad pain that she is experiencing. You are the one who heas all our diseases and I pray for a miraculous healing for apple in Jesus' name and for His glory amen.

Thank you LLJ and Tony for your prayers. The pain is considerably less than it was yesterday - Thank you God.

Little by little, the pain does seem to be getting less which is why yesterday was such a big disappointment to me. Yesterday, it seemed to me that I was back in the place where I was when people started praying for me.

Tomorrow, I have an appointment with the doctor, so I will see what she says.

I am sitting here in tears - unable to cope with the pain and frightened that I will be admitted to hospital this afternoon.

Father I thank you that we can come boldly to Your throne room of grace. Thank you that You are in control and I thank you for what You have already done for my sister apple. I thank you for what You are going to do in her life.

Thank you that this appointment today will go smoothly as You are there with her. I pray that it will not be so difficult as she thinks. You alone can work in this situation and I give her situation to You as I intercede for my sister apple and You Father intercede to the Father on our behalf.

Father I pray that You will release apple from this bad pain she is now suffering. Lord help her to look to You, the healer and physician. Only You can do a mighty miracle for my dear sister. You know her fears and I pray that she will be set free from this bad pain and not end up in the hospital.

Father help her to give all her worries and cares to You who can handle them all for her. Carry her today in Your loving arms I pray in Jesus' name amen.
