I won't address the trinity made up thing by the Romans but the Father cannot Be the Son just as you cannot be your own Father or your own Son.
John 3:16 For GOD(FATHER) so loved the world that he(GOD) gave his only begotten SON(JESUS)........ 2 DIFFERENT ENTITIES that were and still are in perfect agreement (of one mind) to finish what the Father started. Cant' leave out the Holy Ghost because he speaks to us what the Lord Jesus wants us to know or instructs us as to the Lords commands for us as they arise.

Now stating that the trinity was a Roman issue, I can't speak to but, I can speak to Christmas being a Roman issue. If you do the research you'll find that a Roman emperor named Constantine named Christianity the religion of the state of Rome in 329AD. This was done in order to quell a religious rebellion between the so called Christians and the former religion of Rome called Mithraism. In doing so they incorporated some of the festivals of the mithraic religion into the NEW Christian Roman state religion. One of these was the WINTER EQUINOX week long celebration of the returning of the SUN as the days got longer after 12/21. They worshiped the Sun like most in those days. In order to satisfy Christians they named it the mass of Christ and tagged it with the birth of Jesus although no one knows when Jesus was born. And if the Father wanted us to know he would of told us at least twice. That said it is possible that many different mithraic ceremonies are incorporated into what we call Christianity today, my only concern when studying the period was where Christmas originated.

All of Christianity today (including Protestant Churches) sprang from the Roman Catholic Church. Emperor Constantine was never truly a converted believer. He continued worshipping the sun, the religion of pagan Rome, after he made Christianity the state religion. He made Christianity the state religion for political reasons, and he was under the influence of the devil. The devil used pagan Rome to persecute the church for about 200 years but he realised that persecution only made the church grow. So the devil changed tactics and allowed his pawn Constantine to legalise Christianity so he can corrupt the church from within with false doctrines and corrupt practices.

Apostle Paul warned already about this:

1 Timothy 4:1-3 KJV
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

Who forbids marriage among clergy? The Roman Catholic Church. There are also many false doctrines of demons like trinity, child baptism, sacraments, praying to dead saints and angels, immortality of soul, purgatory etc etc never taught in the Gospel.

The Protestant Churches are also not free from false doctrines and practices like Calvinism, hyper grace (license to sin), prosperity and word of faith false gospels, new ageism and ecumenism just to name a few. All of these are also warned in the epistles and by the apostles:

Acts 20:29-30
For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

Protestantism is primarily about a group of men starting their own churches and drawing people after them in rebellion to unity isn’t it?

Jude 1:4
For certain men have secretly slipped in among you--men who long ago were marked out for the condemnation I am about to describe--ungodly men who have turned the grace of our God into a license for evil and who deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 2:1-3
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Most leaders of constitutional Churches today receive their salaries from believers don’t they? Those who teach prosperity and word of faith lies also compel people to give money to them so as to receive greater blessings and wealth don’t they? So these false teachers makes merchandise of believers just like apostle Peter said. They get rich through their false preaching and then use the Gospel to justify their extravagant lifestyles while the poor continue in poverty.

I once watched a video that talked about exorcism in the Catholic Church back in the early 1700 or so if I remember correctly. One Protestant leader came to exorcise a possessed person only to be mocked for his unrepented sin. Then the evil spirit inside the person said that Protestantism is also the work of the devil. Protestantism created schism and division in the church, which was something the apostles taught against. This act of schism eventually discredited the Gospel of Jesus Christ because no one had the complete truth and error of doctrine pervaded in every single denomination even till today. The devil simply mixed truth with lies in Protestantism to draw unsuspecting people in but his real motive was to further divide the church, discredit Christianity and confuse the world. Just look at all the bad fruit of the Protestant and Catholic churches and you know that none of them were truly following Jesus. A tree is recognised by its fruits, that is what Jesus said.

The way of truth had long been blasphemed and distorted because of what the devil did inside the church via false apostles and teachers for 2000 years, and so many false gospels and doctrines have been taught barely anyone knows what Jesus and His apostles really taught before AD100.

God allowed all these deception to try the hearts of all. Do we listen to men or Him? Do we trust in men’s doctrines or in Him for truth? Do we search out the truth like the Bereans who searched the Scriptures or do we rely on men to spoonfeed us what they say is truth? Do we love the truth even when it is unpleasant to hear or do we love teachers who make us feel good and tickle our ears with what we want to hear?

Those who do not love the truth will be given over to great delusion as prophesied.

He was worshiped as an infant because he was to be the savior of the world and he was the only Son of God to be born not of a man. Adam excluded. But Adam was never born he was made from the dust.

Scripture is clear that only God is to be worshiped.

Jesus was God in the Old Testament, like I said. I AM is a reference to Jesus’ past identity, who He was in the Old Testament. You still are not admitting that the Word truly became flesh, which is what John wrote. Can flesh be called God? No. So why do you call the man Jesus God?

I agree with every word. But To add, Paul speaks of the Body of Christ, Jesus is the Head, we are the Body. Only through the sacrificial cleansing Blood of the Lamb can we be saved.
