I did not say that Lost did, I was tell Lost that : , what people want to see is how we express the love of Jesus, ourselves through the way we live our own lives. I agree to a point. Jesus says, by my fruits, they will know you. Many christians or so call Christian say it but do not walk it. I am at times guilty, sad to say, I am not perfect, I am daily work on being the example and light, or as the bible says the Salt of the earth, I want to be different, to where when some one looks at me, they can say, what is it about her and I can then reply, I love Jesus with all my heart and I follow him, God gave us scriptures, for those to hear his word. To plant a seed for the unsaved, unbelievers, which ever you want to call them. By using scriptures, You are able to show others Gods love, grace and mercy.

I want to be different, to where when some one looks at me, they can say, what is it about her and I can then reply, I love Jesus with all my heart and I follow him, God gave us scriptures, for those to hear his word. That thrilled me, the lady was also a Christian, and we were having tea after a funeral, now if I had've had my witness pin in my lapel I would have understood, but I didnt.

i think but I could be mistaken, but it's all I can think of, was because I was trying to tidy up a bit, on the table, perhaps because I was a stranger in that particular church, she was able to know, it's only a guess really.

That really blessed me, it was a few years ago now, but still, that is just what we want for people to know whom it is we love and adore and walk with, side by side.

Though mostly He's in front, leading the way. Amen

No Problem, This is my prayer daily, I have a hard time with many things, but if I can glorify God i try. I am learning to be in the public once again, it is not easy I am finding out, and I try hard, I may never fit in but at least, God will all way be with me. I can only walk what I talk, at least I am trying very hard, which this too with everything else has caused some heart ache. anyway, your welcome, sister in christ.

I believe God inspired every last word in the Bible.

If people don't believe that, it is God's Word over theres. Who are you going to believe?

God is Perfect, God is Holy, God preserved and inspired His Word and God is not a liar.

I found out the Bible to be fully word of God just by reading it trough, starting from what Jesus said in human form.

don't be do hard on yourself, don't try pushing to hard either.

Thankyou to everyone for your contributions and replies. I'm a relaxed happy person and I hope thats reflected in my posts..
All the posts I've made here, some may consider to be naive but they've been made in good faith. I haven't made any claims or said that I'm right but simply shared my ideas with you all.

I live in England and talk to people of many different faiths and found there's quite a lot of common ground in many of them, but the emphasis on compassion is strongest in Christianity, thats why my journey has brought me here.
Because I speak to many people of many different persuasions I'm not comfortable with the notion of rebuking someone. It gives permission to let anger take control of you and thats never a good thing, even tho it might seem so in the short term. I wouldn't be comfortable rebuking someone for expressing ideas even when they totally contrast with mine. An example is if someone is racist I prefer to befriend them, then rather than have them fight me as an enemy I can tell them as a person they like and possibly have respect for why I think racism is wrong and because I'm a friend hopefully they listen. I do that because despite their racism I have respect for them as a person. Thats the salvationist view and one that I've always admired.

Brother Lost- The Trinity is certainly one of the more difficult to understand concepts of Christianity, so what you say is both right and wrong. Yes, Christ Jesus, the man, God made flesh, never wrote a word (at least that we have today, nor any reference thereto) Yet the Bible (as a whole and specifically the New Testament as you reference it) was inspired by the Holy Spirit, who is one being with the Father and the Son. Thus in that God is three and yet one, Christ did write it. I know that I just refuted the conditions, but we can resolve this by setting constraints. You appear to refer to Christ in his strictly corporeal form. In that understanding he did not write. Yet Christ is not just his corporeal form, and in that he is God he did write.

I have to ask though- 80 years isn't too far off from two of the Gospels, although Matthew was written earlier, if I remember. Am I wrong here?

Anyway, Christianity is indeed appealing, but it has profound truth beyond any philosophical or ethical correctness. Pray for God's strength when you are weak- truly he will provide it. Christ is more than just a good man with a right message. He truly is God.
