Separating obedient from perfect

@B-A-C Greetings,
Actually there was another side which gets turned around for some reason in the replies.

I have stated there is a difference between willfully sinning and missing the mark and sinning.

That seemed to get turned around into I just want to sin.

I stated the power or stronghold of sin that kept us captive has been broken but we still have to do our part through Christ as we mature in Him.

Again I was told I just want to sin and I was not truly born again because if I was then it all was taken away.

I have said we can over come sin and that too got twisted around.

The ONLY reason I even stayed replying in this topic is because telling people they are not saved because they have yet to overcome some areas is bad doctrine and can have devastating results in some ones life.
Shoot even satan uses that tactic.

Blessings
Can you give us an example of "accidental" sin?
Then we can deal with it in the light of James 1:14-15.
Thanks.

Do you think some one who hasn't overcome "some area" will be judged worthy of eternal life at the final judgement?

Do you think some one who hasn't overcome "some area" will be judged worthy of eternal life at the final judgement?
Yep sure do.
God is not going to judge you against light you don't have.

Do you feel you would be judged worthy of eternal life with your short coming of judging who is worthy or not simply by the stage of growth they have obtained?

It does not work like that. You can not pull a piece of scripture out and then build a doctrine on it.
You are using 1Corinthians2:15 in error.
13 When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit's words to explain spiritual truths.
14 But people who aren't spiritual can't receive these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can't understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
This is not even talking about Judging people.
Not to mention the part of the verse you left out (yet he himself is judged of no man.) Simply makes your use null and void.
My bible didn't have the part that says..."he that is spiritual judgeth all things except men's actions".

Now your use in the reply was to
Bendito said:
LOL If people judge others they are not perfect...Because that's disobedient to the Word.
Tagging @Bendito because I used his post
Are you judging me?

Can you give us an example of "accidental" sin?
Then we can deal with it in the light of James 1:14-15.
Thanks.
Let me ask you this, are you tempted to correct those who disagree with you or don't quite stack up to your thinking or does it just come natural?

Till you come up with an example of that, I must refrain from answering.

Using your judgement to figure mine out, is foolishness.
If men run afoul of what God has had written in the bible, their judgement is already preordained.
I call a spade a spade.
Folks who fight against obedience to God will get their just judgement.
Thank God, though, for giving the world time to get right with Him.

Nice dodge there.
Have a great day

No.
Nope just the words you wrote.
Oooh...that's pretty...slippery.

1Cirinthians 2:15
Does not back Judging people, your brethren.
The scripture says "all things".
And if we were of the same seed you wouldn't be arguing against those scriptures.

But now you add men's actions after the fact.
What else is there from men that will be judged?
Their color?
Their education?
It amazes me how adept you are at avoiding a point with your asides and irrelevant meanderings.

Does God approve of sin?

First you use that scripture saying it gives a right to judge other Christians and people and slowly you continue to change it to something else until you have changed things into things not said.

Practically... I start each day with reading and prayer.
Every day without fail.
I refrain from the TV and radio shows that portray wickedness as a good thing.
I work on this site, trying everyday to provoke the readers to see that if I can do it, so can they.
I help my neighbors, trying to give an example of what God loving men are like...with rides to the store, bank, medical appts. and to the food bank.
I give to the folks who hold sign asking for help...when I can.
I volunteer at a food bank on Saturday, {(when they have the most problem getting volunteers to get up early).
I read some more, and pray all day long, or more like converse with God all day long.
I thank God for a thousand things everyday.
Including my meals, health, money, and every green light I am gifted with.
When I eat at a restaurant, I take and display my bible while I read and study. (that has started a lot of conversations)
I pray some more.

This was your reply @At Peace when asked to explain how practically you love the Lord above all else and your neighbour as yourself.

Firstly, thank you for answering.
Everything that you do sounds very good....a goodly lifestyle.....works.

However, I was hoping to hear the praise of the Lord and what He has done in your life, who you are in Him. Tell me about Jesus and the wonders He has wrought in your heart. Tell me how His love compels you to love Him more.

This was the verse that came to mind when I read your post

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.
Mark 10:21

I don't see how my first answer failed your "test".
He has both caused and allowed me to live without sin.
Any other thing He has compelled me to do would only be seen as "bragging" my the doubters.
I praise God for His love, mercy, protection, forgiveness, word, and provision every day.
And for His having provided men with the ability to kill the old man and cause us to be raised with Christ to walk in newness of life.

Faith without works is dead. (James 2:17)

What is your story?

I don't see how my first answer failed your "test". ........What is your story?

@At Peace

Firstly, I am not testing you. I was interested in the thread.

My story I am happy to share.....the words of a beautiful old hymn fit perfectly

Naught have I gotten but what I received,
Grace hath bestowed it since I have believed;
Boasting excluded, pride I abase;
I'm only a sinner saved by grace!

Only a sinner saved by grace!
Only a sinner saved by grace!
This is my story, to God be the glory,
I'm only a sinner saved by grace!*

Shouldn't you write..."I am wishing to get involved..." as you just did? LOL

Not that we ARE all sinless, but that we all CAN be obedient to God all the time...to His glory.
Adhere to the exhortations. Take each one to heart, applying them to day to day living.
We have been given weapons with which to win our own personal war with a second death.
Use them, manifesting the grace of God on earth now.

@At Peace I wanted to thankyou for sharing this I think its wonderful what you are doing, and I certainly do not think anyone can say you are bragging when you just answered a direct question, have a great weekend, Praise Jesus

They should update the lyrics for born again Christians...(or is that redundant?), to "Only an ex-sinner saved by grace!"
