If Jesus came preaching the Gospel, then the Gospel is what Jesus preached, and Him alone.

But I've made numerous replies to you in numerous threads, and ... haven't you read them?

Indeed, humans were given a will;

If willpower worked to achieve Righteousness, then there wouldn't be all these 12 step programs trying to deal with addiction. One could just white knuckle through it. But the Holy Spirit cleanses us from all unrighteousness when we follow the instructions given by Jesus.

They were also given a mind to think with.

Well good luck with that. If you think common sense is common, well that's unfortunate. One need only look around to see the dearth of cognitive thinking skills. The average IQ is 100. Only ten percent of the people can qualify for Mensa (above 138 or so). That's one person out of ten. And that one person lives in the cognitive fog exuded by the the other nine. Brain farts surround you.

Meaning... most people need to use their mind to think that they don't think well. But they don't. Everybody thinks they're doing the right thing. And everybody thinks they can think. Reality doesn't support this view. Instead of their brain, they use their amygdala. Meaning.... they use their emotions to think. (Spock wasn't wrong.)

But nowadays, nobody wants to think. They just want to smoke weed.

Let The One who has all the correct answers stand forth!

The word for God in Chapter one is YHWH.
The word for God in Chapter two is EL.

Most scholars see these as two completely different creation stories from two different sournces.

Do not the Muslims say that one can only understand the Quran if one reads the original Arabic?
Let's say they do. (They do.)
Now if you haven't read the Quran in Arabic, then whatever wisdom you may have distilled from your study is suspect.

But now let's also say that you do read the Quran in Arabic. I would ask, which version? The Muslim will deny that there is more than one version, even when seeing the proof right in front of their eyes.

So which version, and then which translation am I supposed to read? (I've not found any English translation of the Bible to be %100 accurate.)

And the Muslim doesn't even know where Mecca is.

Did you know that? While Islam is said to have started in 610 AD, there is no archaeological record in Mecca before 800 AD.

Now if they can't get that straight, why should I bother wasting my time reading their mythology?
