"Pray the Children!"

Users who viewed this discussion (Total:0)

Hi dear friends,

This forum was just told to me by Sunshine307. (Thank you for pointing the way) So I'm placing my note in here as well. I was hoping if you could keep my children in your prayers. As a single mom, I tried my best to raise my kids to know the Lord but unfortunely, none of them believe. I have three children (well I might as well say adult / teenagers). Their names & ages are Joshua - 20 years, Philip - 17 years and Kathryn - 15 years. The seed has been planted - I just need help.

Best wishes,

Wow, I am speechless at the love that I have seen pour out of this thread.
I will be praying for all of these children, and I hope to be able to recieve a prayer cloth from church for all of them combined.
I ask at this time for all of you to bear with me for a minute because I have quite a few to add.
first my own two children.
Mark Allen who is going on 12. He is about to go through what scares me the most Puberty. I have tried very hard to protect my kids, but I know that they will be faced with difficult decissions in there lives I pray for guidance for him and that Jesus will stay firm in his heart. He went to the alter just this year and gave his life to Jesus. I hope we have planted him on a firm foundation but I know that it is only with Jesus in our lives we can hope to keep him there.
Billy Nathan is going on 6, And is very bright and active. I pray that Jesus will protect him always.
My nephew Matthew, just turned 4. His father (my brother) killed his self about 6 months ago. His mother I love as a sister. I know that things will be difficult for him, but they attend church with me and I pray for Jesus to watch over him day and night.
Christopher, my cousins child I believe he is 5, just began having seizures, and they have found something on his brain. I pray for healing for him, and love.
Samantha age 5, my cousins child. Her parents are lost and she doesnt attend church. I pray for her as well as her parents to find their way to Jesus.
Kayla going on 11, my neice.
Ashley, Allison, Blake, Gracelyn, all cousins children.
Next are the children in my sunday school cl***
Nick and Andrew are my pastors children
Christina a very dear friends adopted child, they are having problems with the adoption.
Liz and Laura, whos mom is still very lost. I pray for their protection and for Jesus to be with them always.
Michael and Chance
Tori and Devin
Alyssa, Laura, and Sarah.
And Terri's children.
I think I may have covered them all.
Please pray for me, I feel like these children that I teach on Sunday are very special. I want more than anything to be able to plant a seed in them for Jesus to Harvest. I love all of them very much.
The children are the future, they will soon be the leaders of the Church and the world. I ask for God to bless them all with love, strength, courage, patiences, and kindness.
Thank you all for caring so much for these children.
I will pray dilligently for all of them.
I read in an earlier post the message about the lost sheep.
How wonderful our Lord is!
The Sheperd died so the sheep would no longer have to! Amen
I have`nt got time to update the list right now, (if anyone does it will be much appreciated) , it seems i`ve been just flying thru lately, because i`ve been a little extra busy, but we will keep praying for these children, and we know God will keep answering!
Thank God for each one of you praying moms and dads, how it strengthens us to know that other parents are calling out our childrens names in prayer every day with us!
Glory to God!
Brandi Yvonne, may God Bless your Sunday school class, and the names have been added. Sorry for the loss of your brother.

I like to pray this Psalm for all the older children on our list.

Psalms 1
Blessed are they who do not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.

2 But their delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on His law they meditate day and night.

3 They are like trees planted by streams of water,
which yield their fruit in season
and whose leaves do not wither.
Whatever they do prospers.

4 Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.

5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

6 For the LORD watches over the way of all the righteous,
but the way of the wicked shall perish

I thank you Father that these teens and young adults will pick their friends wisely and will not go Lord where it is harmful for their spirits. Father protect their hearts.

In Jesus name amen.
Lord I come before you in behalf of all the children listed above. Lord you know their every need. Watch over them and continue to work in their behalf. Let no weapon formed againist them or their families prosper in Jesus name.

Lord heal them in mind, body and spirit. Help us, help them. Give us wisdom to handle every thing as you would have us.

In Jesus name amen.
Thank you for the update calluna, God bless you!

We are praying for these children daily (even when we are not here)
Please parents continue to post your childrens names (or nicks if preferred), there must be many more not yet mentioned, and trust me when I say you will begin to see and feel the strength of having your own surrounded in prayer!
I would like to add a praise here today concerning my 13 year old daughter, Michelle, and also to ask you fellow prayer warriors to keep her in your prayers. She is doing much better, is happier at home and school, and as far as we can tell--is now being truthful with her stepdad and me.

On April 1st late at night, Michelle's father called. He normally calls about 2 to 3 times per year and forgets her birthday and Christmas. He's just been through a divorce and has lost custody of his 3 year old daughter with the wife that came after me. All of the sudden, he wants Michelle back, and he keeps calling every few minutes since April 1. He lives in another state, and tells Michelle he will be down to see her within 30 days.

Please pray that she will be able to stay safe here at home and at school and all the places she goes.
Lord Jesus we ask you keep Michelle close to you, and let nothing befall her that is not part of your plan for young life. We thank and praise you that you care for every child named here, and we trust you for divine guidance and angelic protection for each one placed into your hands, in Jesus name amen.
Paul and Leoni's family

I would like a little boy in my class to be put on this list. He has severe behaviour problems and has extremely low self esteem. His name is Paul Lee and is trying his best to get negative attention. He has been brought up without guidance and so struggles to connect. He tries to impress peers by extremes and doesn't yet have the communication skills to develop lasting relationships thus can isolate himself from the group. He is underachieving too, pray he finds success.

Also, Leoni, Megan and Lucas Warren whose mum is in and out of hospital because of emotional problems. She and her children are highly intelligent but the younger children are showing signs of being disturbed by the inconsistency in their lives. Pray that they achieve all they are capable of and stay on the right road, feeling secure and pressing forward.
Thank you Father for little Paul Lee and also Leoni, Megan and Lucas Warren, and for placing someone in thier lives who cares enough to bring these children to you! Lord please lay your hands upon each of thier lives, and send the influences and help they need to grow in spiritual and mental health in Jesus name! Let your name be glorified in the life of every child that has been brought before you here. Instruct every parent Lord in your ways so they may teach these children to follow you. God help us to understand that it doesnt matter how big or seemingly unresolvable the problem is, it only matters WHO is working on it, and we know we can trust you to the uttermost!
Praise God!

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Heb 11:1
Hi all!

Just to let you know, even though I have not been able to be here, reading and sharing with you, I pray for you every single morning before I head out to work.

I have two praises:

My son has passed his Driver's License test and has it now and has just begun his first job and will be working full-time doing something he, actually, enjoys. (Working with animals.) I prayed the Lord that He would encourage my son to take the D.L. test again, soon, after flunking it the first time and, for as many applicatations my son has filled out that either needed references (which he had/has none) or needed to be of the age of 18 (which he is not, yet) I asked that the Lord would give him a chance without these and He has done as I asked and I am so glad!

Also, one of my daughters had "D's" and an "F" on her school report card before this last one and I asked the Lord to help her get her grades up. This last report card came with joy as she was able to bring her grades up to almost all "B's". We rewarded her and thanked God for helping her. She was so excited she says she is going to try to make straight "A's" this next quarter.

The Lord is good and greatly to be praised!

Now, as "Coconut" just shared:

>>>"God help us to understand that it doesn't matter how big or seemingly unresolvable the problem is, it only matters WHO is working on it, and we know we can trust you (Jehovah) to the uttermost!"<<<

I have, what I would consider, as major unresolvable problems with my youngest daughter and, the other day, I was thinking: God! (literally speaking thus, to Him) if YOU do not do something about this little one's attitude and change her, I am going to end up beside myself. Then, He spoke and told me that He is working on it and that I need to let go and let Him. I did and I've already been seeing a change. It is a little change; but, because the probelm has been ongoing, long, and trecherous - it really makes a difference, to me, and I am so glad I know the Lord!

One last thing I would like to share:

Since before Christmas of last year and all the way up to even this morning, three of my four car windows were broke and would not roll down. Thank God, the one that did work was the one I needed most and that, was/is my window (driver's side). This window is needed to go down when I drop mail off at the outside mailbox at the post office or when I go through the drive-thru at the bank or a fast-food restaurant, etc.
Since the weather has been cold or cool enough, the other windows didn't have to be used; however, today was very hot and humid and after my girls ran around and took a gymnastics make-up day they were in my car and they were suffering from the heat and lack of air. I had my air-conditioner on, but the daughter in the back seat wasn't feeling it enough and she began to get sick.

As we were talking about reminding dad (my husband) to fix the windows, the daughter in the back seat tried her window and it went down. I didn't ask the Lord for this one. He just gave it and it was awsome! Not just for me but for my daughters, as well. The Lord fixed my windows and I am so thankful!

The Lord is good and greatly to be praised!

"Our Father, Who Art in heaven,
Hollowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy Will be done
on earth as it is in heaven in everyone's lives who visit and are members on this "talkjesus" site; include too, their family members, neighbors, friends, and co-workers, etc.
Give them this day their daily bread and bless it towards their bodies. Help them to help the hungry, physically and spiritually.
Forgive them their tresspasses as they forgive those who tresspass against them. Help them, Father, where this may be a tough one. Remind them about You and the way You forgive them for their tresspasses. Give them the power of Your Holy Spirit to do well.
Lead them NOT into temptation but deliver them from evil, in Jesus Christ's name!
For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Glory, and the Honour FOREVER and EVER!

God is Awesome!!!!! Praise Him. I haven't visited here for a while and notice all the wonderful praise reports.
Dreamer and daughter Michelle, just being happier in school and at home, for a teenager, only God can do this.

4given's son passing driving test, well done to your son and praise God, may the Lord protect him while he is driving around and guide him while he is in a new job. Your daughter improving grades, and wanting to achieve higher next time. How amazing is that. All Glory to God in the Highest!!!
And the car window, just love stories like that, God blesses His children, when sometimes we are not asking.

I also have a praise , my son lives in Arizona, we live in Delaware, so I don't get to see him and I miss him. He doesn't phone as much as I would like, but I just received 2 phonecalls in one week one was to wish me happy birthday the other day and I have to tell you it got to 10pm at night and I thought he had probably forgotten, and It just made my day when he called. I noticed in his voice that he seemed more hopeful and he sounded happier. (He gets down about life.) He even mentioned he might visit the church we all use to go to. We talked for 45 mins!!!!! 45 minutes!!!! I have encouraged him as much as a mom can and I have been praying for Him and I will continue to do so and I trust the Lord will save my son, I see it and believe it!!!!!!!!!

I have other praises also, alot just lately about family and home, blessings that I know only God is responsible for, I am so thankful and greatful to our God.

Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord,
for He is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 106:1

Amen Glory to God!

I have a scripture tacked to the wall behind my desk, it says
"YOU O LORD keep my lamp burning, my GOD turns my darkness into light",and we as parents know, there are seasons when this night is very long,
but note there who is providing the oil, who assures you the fire wont go out, and who finally brings the dawn!

It is not for you or I, mom or dad reading this, to spend our time trying to figure out how God is going to save our children, but it is more consolation than any boot camp, school, hospital, intervention program has to offer to know He will, if we but bring them to Him in prayer. PRAISE GOD!

Parents I`m here to tell you, that no matter what your child may be involved in, no matter how faithless and ruined thier lives may seem, bring them to GOD! It doesnt matter what you see them doing now, it only matters what the outcome is, that they one day come to know Christ in this life!

God is able to take every wasted year, every foolish choice, and every heartbreaking detail that you may not even know about your child, and use these very things to bring them to Him. Trust the Master Potter. He knows just how much sand, how much water, how much mud, (oh how we hate the muddy messes they get themselves into) how much pressure is needed to mold these young lives into vessels of honor!

God also knows how much time it will take, and our God is not limited by time or the things we stumble over. You may say, well little johnny or little suzy really messed up this time, they did the very thing I feared they would do, or they went the very way I feared they would take! Will you thus allow satan to blind you to the almighty power of your God. Do we so easily forget that God is also a Father, and loves our children so much more than we can or do?
I think some of you have witnessed this, that a little child will keep trying to touch something hot, in spite of how many times you say 'hot', until they finally touch it and feel the burn for themselves, and they come crying to you and tell you the same thing you`ve been trying to tell them all along.

It is this way in the kingdom of God, He will let your child touch the flame, He might even let him or her walk thru the flames if they are so willful, and yes they may have to bear scars for thier choices, but God will allow
all our willful choices, just to show us the only way we can truly have life, is in Him. God doesnt want any of us being deceived, so as the story of the prodical son goes, He will allow us to see sins ugly side, even allow us to revel in it, if it keep us from ever being deceived by those greener pastures satan tries to lure us away with again.

So while you and I are praying, remember that God is hearing every prayer, and in His great wisdom He knows the very way to answer those prayers, by allowing the things our children need to bring them home to Him. Praise God!
"AND he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

"Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

"And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

"And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

"Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her , lest by her continual coming she weary me.

"And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

"And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

"I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?"

ST. LUKE 18:1-8

"And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.

"But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

"Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kindgom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein."

ST. LUKE 18:15-17

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING! (1st Thessalonians 5:17)

* If anyone has time, will you please update this thread again.

I am (know there are more of you) praying for the children named in this thead every day. We are believing for God to do more than we can even ask or think for every one of these children.

I am often reminded of this passage where it tells us of Jobs children;

Job 1:4 And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.
And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

Read a little further and the accuser says to God: "Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side?"

Do you see it? Glory to God! The faithfulness of one man to pray for his children, and God put a HEDGE about them! (even while they partied on) Nothing, not even satan himself can get past the hedge of God, unless God allows, and if God allows it, you better believe He has a reason (His own Word) Trust Him with your children! Praise God!

Mic 7:7 Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
Lam 3:21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
I just have to give this praise report! Praise God Praise God Praise God!

This afternoon God spoke this to me when I read this scripture (see the part in brackets);

Do not be anxious about anything ...( that includes your children) ...but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Phi 4:6

I was amazed I had never seen my children in the anything before...

While I was rejoicing in this little revelation...and telling my husband about it...the phone rang and it was our daughter Jolie. (shes been drifting for many months now) She said "Mom you dont have to worry about me anymore, last night I recommitted my life to God"

Dont tell me GOD doesnt answer prayer!
There is power power wonder working power in the name of JESUS!

Moms and Dads, KEEP PRAYING!

Psa 126:6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
