I had posted "And liberalism and conservatism can be corrupted on both sides" as now I do believe the prince of this world is trying to start another American Civil War. Whether or not he succeeds, Jesus is still Lord.

Lots of questions but if he never ran we would have NEVER seen the corruption in America and more in the world.

You can copy/paste scripture all day but America isn't nor is the world a Christian nation or world. Arguing from this "point of Authority" is flawed b/c many believe it to NOT be universal or recognize it.
There are non-Christians here who are in some Neutral area. Everyone needs a mix of biased and unbiased POV.

I'm going to clarify some things.
- America is not a Christian nation. Heavily inspired by and God Himself is name in our founding documents. The Constitution, our laws, our inalienable rights are therein to further cement where they come from.
- Separation of church and state is NOT in the Constitution or our founding documents. It means......there can be no church/state or state/church. The government cannot staff and run the country with all Christian leaders nor can it create a national/federal church and in both making laws with influence from the Bible.
It's one of many reasons our ancestors left.
- Liberals:
Want government to run healthcare and it be "free" for all. If you support this you know nothing of the V.A. or military medicine let alone civilian medicine. - Nothing is free.
- Government should provide more services to the less fortunate (like health care) and increase taxes if necessary. - No. You do not elevate someone else by taking from others. Jesus would not approve.
- Gay couples to get equal rights like everyone else. NEVER.
- No. Life is not fair and it sucks a lot for a lot of people.
The people should look to the government to provide a structure. Laws are enacted to protect every individual for an equal society sometimes at the expense of economic freedom if neccessary.
Higher education is not right. You take out a loan it's your responsibility to pay it. It's your own fault if you don't learn about them and how they work. - I'm not responsible for your well-being nor anyone else's. You are not responsible for me or anyone else. However, caring for our own and others is innate in us but again, we don't force people.
The very definition of Liberal is simply a weak, PC wording of Leftist/Democract. They want MORE government which our ancestors were seeking to get away from in coming here. You don't know history or Government if you support bigger government.
Jesus deal with "big government" and look how things turned out for him, the Jews, and Christians throughout history and today.

It simply boils down to this. Yes Jesus was for small government because He wanted the self governed to love God but also to love their neighbor as they themselves would want to be loved. Yes He believed in private ownership and free enterprise but noted GREED as an evil thing. He went about doing good. Caring for the poor. Feeding the hungry and offered healing for free to all who sought it and worked to set the oppressed free (Matthew 25L31-46).
As far as RNC or DNC or Liberal or Conservative WE should care less. OUR concern should be to emulate HIM (1 John 2:6). Think how He would think and do as He would do. We are His and if OUR Spirit is His Spirit we shall be like Him, and if we are not and claim to be His, then we should look carefully at Matthew 25:1-13 because there are many right now calling themselves Christians who He does not know. They are in the Bridal Chamber allegedly waiting His return but they are NOT His children for they do not any of the things He modeled for us to do. Yes they probably said a sinner prayer or were given a bath (just as Simon Magi) but they are not SAVED (Romans 8:9)
SO are any of these so-called Christians you indicate feeding the hungry, or caring for the poor, or offering the ill healing (not dependent on money), or caring for and respecting our neighbors or the fatherless or elderly? Are they helping the oppressed become FREE? If so follow them and support them, and if not, then they are goats and should be avoided at all cost. Amen? This IS the heart of our Father now do it.
