Hi brother i get your drift somewhat, but Christ tells us not to get up in arms or fearful of worldly wars. Because these things must be. Like you said till the end of this age war is going to be a reality.
Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
As far as the rest of the scriptures you posted above, this is Paul talking too the Church, not the nations of the world.
So like i said, pray that we all don't become overcharged with the cares of this life. And miss the words of Christ and the apostles on this.

Too say this is basically saying lets value Hitler and his regime, just as much as the rest of his adversaries. Ie England, America and Canada during world war one and two.
You talk about taking sides here? who's side are you on? Terrorist, murderers and fanatics? Or basically a peaceful country trying to defend its people? Should we value murderers and terrorist above the peaceful? This to me is a war on terror, not a war on Palestinians. And remember what Paul says about the powers that be, they are a threat to the evil not the good.

And that we should do. Paul said to fallow peace with all men as much as possible. Rom 12:18
But the world and the powers that be are not told to turn the other cheek, so they bear the sword on their enemies not in vain. As God has ordained. So there is scripture in the bible for the saints, that is separate from other scriptures for the world. So basically give unto Caesar what is Caesars, and unto God what is Gods.

the essentials of the hystoric Christian faith are my brothers and

If you read all of my posts you will see that I never denied you the
right to defend your self.
What I am saying [is] that anyone who considers his/her self a

And also I dont believe it is right for any Christian here in the

It amazes me that the press would even question Israel's right to defend their people. It is not like the hamas is going to stop firing rockets at men, women and schoolkids without their removal. If this happened to the USA we would do the same thing.

But that is not my conversation here brother, but whether or not Israel (One of the powers that be... Rom 13:1) has a right to defend its people against terrorist attacks. And according to Romans 13:1-7 they do.

War is never scripturally condemned. The Palestian people are sadly the same ones who danced in the streets after the September 11th murder of 3000 plus Americans. They elected a terrorist group to run their government and live on land that historically and biblically belongs to Israel.
All that being said I am still sympathetic towards their current plight. Perhaps they will wise up and get rid of Hamas as no government will allow 3,000 plus rockets per year to be lobbed unto it's citizens without retaliation. Persoanlly I am impressed with Israel's restraint.

Unfortunetly, that was expected. When you don't deal with corrupt behavior, and instead reward it
by giving up more of your own freedom, it has the appearance of being weak. Soft.

So Paul here is basically saying the world is a G.I Joe on busting up thugs, and Paul was in the right profession. As im sure this is what Lion of Judah is referring too. So if you disagree here with scripture, agree to disagree to avoid needless contention. But let me say, its not a good idea to disagree with plain scripture. I was reading through all the posts on this subject.
Because just yesterday there was a demonstration of people at our City Hall, they were out with white flags and billboards displaying 'Need Ethnic Cleansing' something to that effect.
There was also some speaking with loudspeackers from a platform, they were taking sides, the side of Palestine.
Now this was a 'worldly' demo, not a Christian one.
But what bothered me was why are people were I live in Northern Ireland, doing this?
Our own government has terrorist on board, they have never repented, therefore are not saved, yet they are allowed to rule in Government here, and also Christian men in the same government.
2 Corinthians 6 v 14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
I think it's such an awful deed for that to be so, but so it is and carries on.
I heard said from the platform, something about 'we pray to God' asking for God to go against Israel.
I am not that well minded in this whole affair, but I wondered later is God not angry perhaps at Israel for things that go on, leaving Him out of their lives, I know this is in every country but it is to Israel were He will return
