Hi brother i get your drift somewhat, but Christ tells us not to get up in arms or fearful of worldly wars. Because these things must be. Like you said till the end of this age war is going to be a reality.

Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

As far as the rest of the scriptures you posted above, this is Paul talking too the Church, not the nations of the world.
So like i said, pray that we all don't become overcharged with the cares of this life. And miss the words of Christ and the apostles on this.

From this point on let us view both warring teams with
    equal value

Too say this is basically saying lets value Hitler and his regime, just as much as the rest of his adversaries. Ie England, America and Canada during world war one and two.

You talk about taking sides here? who's side are you on? Terrorist, murderers and fanatics? Or basically a peaceful country trying to defend its people? Should we value murderers and terrorist above the peaceful? This to me is a war on terror, not a war on Palestinians. And remember what Paul says about the powers that be, they are a threat to the evil not the good.

So with that said, yes im quick on the draw:) JK.. we are to be instant in season and out of season. 2Ti 4:2

    God bless brother

And so that no one takes me or the scriptures the wrong way, we as Christians are taught to turn the other cheek, and love even our enemies.
And that we should do. Paul said to fallow peace with all men as much as possible. Rom 12:18

But the world and the powers that be are not told to turn the other cheek, so they bear the sword on their enemies not in vain. As God has ordained. So there is scripture in the bible for the saints, that is separate from other scriptures for the world. So basically give unto Caesar what is Caesars, and unto God what is Gods.

    May God bless

Dear j4jh.Before you all put me on your hit list, please listen to my plea.

I believe that all who call on the Lord out of a pure heart, and hold to
the essentials of the hystoric Christian faith are my brothers and
sisters, and that includes Orthodox and Catholics.2Tim2:22

If you read all of my posts you will see that I never denied you the
    right to defend your self.

What I am saying [is] that anyone who considers his/her self a
Christian has forfeited their right to hate.

And also I dont believe it is right for any Christian here in the
comfort and security of America ,to break out with their "scriptural
pom poms" while they cheer for their favorite team in the middle east.

If we are not directly where the bullets and bombs
    are flying,
then instead of "cheerleading" we should fall on our faces and and pray.

I am not denying that there are evil people who thrive in their
whickedness,But I also consider that there are many souls trapped
    with no way out.

I want you to know that I love Jewish people and as a Christian man I
    also love los Palestinos.

Brother please understand that I am in no way trying to disrespect you,
nor am I in any way downsizing the sufferings Jewish people have endured.

I believe that Christ our Lord died a gruesome death to save real gruesome
    sinners.

I have no doubth in my mind that God loves Israel
but can we for one moment ponder the possibility
that God in his heart of hearts also loves
    Ishmael?

And if your answer is YES,
    then that means God has
a plan and His plan is good.

Peace be with all of you and if anyone was offended please
    pray for me.

Love ye all In Christ Carlos.........

Dear Fellow Servant.Thank you for your reply.
Now let me ask you a question.Do you believe God is all powerful?

Do you believe God is capable of saving those who are demon possesed?

Or do you believe God only saves people who are from civilized and sanatized
    nations?

Dietrich Vonhoffer saw value in his fellow country men at a time when even the
Christian churh was under nazi influence and he lost his life while sheperding
    God's Church in nazi germany.

I deal with gangs on a dayly basis and I have ran across many a skinheads
who have been indoctrinated by the klan.
But funny thing about all this is,when I
see one of these bald heads I dont see a
nazi,no,instead I see an opportunity to
    share the good news..

Love you brother and thank you for all your
    good insights.......

Israel mounts third day of Gaza killings?
It amazes me that the press would even question Israel's right to defend their people. It is not like the hamas is going to stop firing rockets at men, women and schoolkids without their removal. If this happened to the USA we would do the same thing.

    1 yes

    2 yes

    3 no

But that is not my conversation here brother, but whether or not Israel (One of the powers that be... Rom 13:1) has a right to defend its people against terrorist attacks. And according to Romans 13:1-7 they do.

God bless, hope you see what i mean...

  7. Two thumbs up

  8. Something like that im not very willing to go against scripture as a Christian, if thats what it says, then thats what is written. But im gonna say, pray for God to judge righteously on all involved.

    God bless all...

  9. Dear Lion.Man bro you sure got a loud roar,my advice to you is.
If your so "GI JOE" about busting up thugs, then maybe your in
    the wrong proffession.

  10. War is never scripturally condemned. The Palestian people are sadly the same ones who danced in the streets after the September 11th murder of 3000 plus Americans. They elected a terrorist group to run their government and live on land that historically and biblically belongs to Israel.
All that being said I am still sympathetic towards their current plight. Perhaps they will wise up and get rid of Hamas as no government will allow 3,000 plus rockets per year to be lobbed unto it's citizens without retaliation. Persoanlly I am impressed with Israel's restraint.

  11. Hammas's response to Israels gift of Gaza, is to fire rockets into Israel.?

Unfortunetly, that was expected. When you don't deal with corrupt behavior, and instead reward it
by giving up more of your own freedom, it has the appearance of being weak. Soft.

I will refer you to this movie, as to what I'm talking about. It's a great dipiction of what men do. Not, what softies do.

One of my favorites also :)

    Blessed by His grace,

    Paul says

Rom 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Rom 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
Rom 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
Rom 13:4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to [execute] wrath upon him that doeth evil.
Rom 13:5 Wherefore [ye] must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
Rom 13:6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
Rom 13:7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute [is due]; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

So Paul here is basically saying the world is a G.I Joe on busting up thugs, and Paul was in the right profession. As im sure this is what Lion of Judah is referring too. So if you disagree here with scripture, agree to disagree to avoid needless contention. But let me say, its not a good idea to disagree with plain scripture. Also, this is a warning not to get personal here as well, all sides, forums rules.

    God bless

  13. Thanks for that Fellowservant. We are after all commanded to "love ye oneanother" by our Lord Himself.

  14. Is it ever permisable for Chritians to dissobey goverment?

And does Romans13:1-5.Apply to the countless American
indians slaugthered by the ruling authorities?

Are we allowed to scrutinize goverments to see if they
are truely ordained of God,or do we just go with the
    flow?

Were Christian men and women involved in the American
    revolution?

Because if they were then that spells, disobidience to
    goverment.

And if Im being disobidient, well maybe its because I
dont put my confidence in faulty men.

Jeremiah 17:5.This is what the Lord says:
"Cursed is the one who trust in man,
who depend on flesh for his strength
and whose heart turns away from the
    Lord.

King David knew how faulty and
cruel men can be no matter how
    just they may seem.

    2Samuel 24:14.
And David said to Gad,I am in grat distress.
Let us fall into the hands of the Lord, for
His mercies are many and great;but let not
me fall into the hands of man.

And with this I rest my case on this post,
He is the One Who judges me.

  15. I was reading through all the posts on this subject.

Because just yesterday there was a demonstration of people at our City Hall, they were out with white flags and billboards displaying 'Need Ethnic Cleansing' something to that effect.

There was also some speaking with loudspeackers from a platform, they were taking sides, the side of Palestine.

Now this was a 'worldly' demo, not a Christian one.

But what bothered me was why are people were I live in Northern Ireland, doing this?

Our own government has terrorist on board, they have never repented, therefore are not saved, yet they are allowed to rule in Government here, and also Christian men in the same government.
    2 Corinthians 6 v 14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

I think it's such an awful deed for that to be so, but so it is and carries on.

I heard said from the platform, something about 'we pray to God' asking for God to go against Israel.

I am not that well minded in this whole affair, but I wondered later is God not angry perhaps at Israel for things that go on, leaving Him out of their lives, I know this is in every country but it is to Israel were He will return
    Acts 1 v 11
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

It is were our Lord left from so therefore He will return as stated in above scripture.

I apologize if I have got this wrong, but strangely enough this has been in my thoughts after seeing that crowd of people yesterday.

  16. "Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid......Jesus said."

These things were for told and they will get worse, I believe, before the Lord calls us home.

Stay in the word, keep looking up, our redemption draws nigh.

  17. Game,

    Set,

    Match.

  18. The only thing that matters is what is to come, in the end (and as Christians we know that) Isreal will win. Isreal will be the last standing.

  19. I wouldn't put it quite that way..

    They " " " win " " ", only because of Christ
