Israel mounts third day of Gaza killings

Discussion in 'News Stand' started by rizen1, Dec 29, 2008.

  1. What are your thoughts on this?

  2. (I thought of it as a possible response to another post in another forum 2 days ago)
lets begin with the little fact that terror organization committed bombing suicides in israel for years..

the fact that they launch rockets to israel for 8 years, while Israel try not to harm or damage the lives of civilians despite the terror attacks shows the fact that Israel sees live as the highest value.

and they used this fact so they placed their bases and headquarters in the middle of neighborhoods and near schools is because they know that Israel wouldn't want to bomb there because Israel dont want to harm innocent people.. unlike hammas.

but Israel had enough! enough of the fact that every time we offer peace and we want just to live our lives.. hammas breaks this and use the media to show Israel acts in bad light and they bomb endlessly people.
the damages of rocket launches for years is severe even if none gets killed.. people become disabled, get mentally ill, children develope mental and physical problems, and people cant live their life as they should. and hammas is the one to blame for what happens in gaza.

as I said Israel is blowing up hammas headquarters and bases and targets.. unfourtunatly because of hammas understanding of the values of Israel is exploiting the fact that also civillians and childrens get killed to picture to the world a holocaust and war crimes... but actually how can it be a holocaust if the one who mostly get killed are hammas activists and supporters? and why should Israeli civllians should be hurt when they try to harm Israel.. but Israel is the bad person when civillians in gaza get hurt?

are you kidding me? so instead blaming Israel for the problems caused by hammas exploits manipulation and rule breaking.

so next time see the big picture instead of blaming Israel about an illusion made and designed by hammas for people to soak and belive
  3. Palestanians sold many parts of their land to Israel, in return for money,
plus that last attack was because of what Hamas did, they threw hand made bombs at Israel, I'm really not defending Israel, but Palestanians should think about the civilians before they start doing any crazy idea!

And Fatah is glad to know what is happenening to Hamas, isn't that weird? aren't they supposedly like brothers? If their own brothers won't care, isn't that weird?

Egypt was always offering a helping hand, but 2 days ago Palestanians killed Egyptian police men at the Egyptian-Palestanian gate in Sinai, and it wasn't even our war, and still, we are sending them many things to help them.

I just wish they form a good government, cause many innocent people are dying, from many different countries.
  4. Having seen some of the awful pictures of injury and destruction, I could really heart just cried out.

Let us just pray compassionately for these war stricken lands, for peace, for the Lord to guide the rulers, for comfort and healing for the injured and those who mourn the death of dear ones...and that love may abound.

O Lord thank You that through this destruction You remain victorious over sin and death...Your Kingdom will come O Lord....and Your name ever be glorified.

Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment.......... but My salvation shall be for ever, and My righteousness shall not be abolished......Isaiah 51:6

Does the Jews disobedience and refusal of excepting the Messiah Jesus Christ, play a role in this Problem ?

    If yes please give scripture.
    If no please give scripture.
How does your church view the situation?

If a non -christian was to ask these questions, what would be your honest answer without holding any bias towards Isreal ?

Bible prophecy says that all nations will gather themselves against Israel in the last days. Israel will be in trouble, even Jacobs trouble, till they say blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord. But be careful who's side you take here, as Paul says the Gentiles are a wild branch, but Israel is the natural branch. There's not a country in the world who would put up with terrorist and rocket launches and suicide bombings none stop on their people.

So i would say Israel has been very patient with this over the years. If this was any other country, and out of the blue it was attacked by missiles and terrorist, they would defend themselves no questions asked. What the Palestinians need is a leader to stop the terrorist in that place and stop the taking sides of terrorist just because they dislike Israel.

One man was hollering out here at our Parliament in protest, that Allah hates Israel, and went further and said that the whole world hated Israel. I'm for Israel even if Satan shows up in the flesh and takes over. This is prophesied to come, but it won't last long. Because Paul says out of Zion shall come forth the deliverer, and turn away ungodliness from Jacob.

And no im not an advocate for war and violence, but sometimes its inevitable. Good peaceful people have a government that bears not the sword in vain. And this is ordained by God...

Should Israel defend itself? see below...

Rom 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Rom 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
Rom 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
Rom 13:4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to [execute] wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Rom 13:5 Wherefore [ye] must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
Rom 13:6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
Rom 13:7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute [is due]; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27 For this [is] my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Rom 11:28 As concerning the gospel, [they are] enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, [they are] beloved for the fathers' sakes.
Rom 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God [are] without repentance.

    Hoped that helped sister

    God bless
  7. Seems fair..

is, and has always been, a propaganda deception devised to gain sympathy..

There is no Palestinian State. It has never been recognized as a country.. never.

If the above quote was inserted with the word: Americans, Israelis, English, French, Japanese, Australians, Germans, Canadians,...

..need I go on..? Use these words in place of Palestinians, and you have a true statement.

WE must as Christians take a hard look at ourselves. Are we going to create a
"coservative pro americanus republican god" and worship it?
Or are we going to woship and serv the true God who loves all peoples in all
    places all the times?

    Prayerfully think about it.

  10. Alls I hear you pro israel Christians focus on is the terrorist but never do
I hear you mention the Palestinian brothers and sisters cought in all this
mess.I believe its wrong to use the bible to justify murder, and I believe
its wrong to exalt one race above another. Also God is not so much
concerned with a plot of land,God's consern is with the salvation of

Dear Fellow servant .When you say be careful who's side you take,
is this intended to be a scare tactic?

Because if it is,then I could tell you that Im on Jesus side, and Jesus comanded
us to care for the oppressed all over the world, jew and gentile there is
no distinction God loves all,and if God could save serial killers here in America
then surely He is also capable of saving terrorist..

And please dont be so quick to quote Romans13
because you are not the one feeling the bombs
    falling on your roof top.

Thank you for your time and may God bring us all
    to His truth.

Hi carlos marquez welcome to Talk Jesus forums, hope you didn't take me or the scriptures the wrong way. The time will come when men will beat their swords into plowshares and learn war no more. So be patient and pray, and yes im concerned about casualties of war, and im praying about all this for both sides civilians included. But im not anti-war here, or the powers that be. If i was i would have to be against this war.

Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Like i said sometimes war is inevitable

And yes let God bring us to his truth...

    God bless

No, I just don't want to see good Christians become anti-semitic over war.

    God bless

  14. Rev. 3:20
I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him,
and will sup with him, and he with me.

  15. Dear Fellow Servant.I understand that wars will cotinue til the return of our
King, but as fellow servants we have no bussines rooting for our favorite
    team to win.

Is Rev 9:11.One of your favorite verses?
I noticed you got a quick draw.

I believe in warfare but the weapons of Christians are not bombs and bullets
and victory doesnt mean our favorite team has to win.

2Cor.10:4.For the weapons of our warfare are not physical[weapons of flesh
and blood],but they are migthy before God for the overthrow and destruction
    of stronholds..

    James 4:1-3.
WHAT LEADS to strife(discord and feuds)and how do conflicts(quirrels and-
fightings)originate among you?Do they not arise from your sensual desires
that are ever warring in your bodily members?

    You are jealous and covet[what others have]and your desires go unfulfilled;
[so]you become murderers .[To hate is to to murder as far as your hearts
are concerned.]You burn with envy and anger and are not able to obtain
[the gratification, the contentment, and the happiness that you seek],so you
fight and war.You do not have, because you do not ask.

[Or] you do ask [God for them]and yet fail to receive, because you ask with
wrong purpose and evil, selfish motives.Your intention is[when you get what
you desire]to spend it on your sensual pleasures.

From this point on let us view both warring teams with
equal value, the semites and the antisemites.

2cor 5:14.For the love of Christ controls and urges and
compels us,because we are of the opinion and conviction
    that[if]one died for all, then all died;

2cor5:16.Consequently,from now on we estimate and reguard
no one from a[purely] human point of view[in terms of natural
standards of value].[No]even though we once did estimate
Christ from a human viewpoint and as a man,yet now[we have
such knowledge of Him no longer[in terms of the flesh].

Let us continue to provoke eachother to love humanity...

    En Cristo tu hermano Carlos
  16. Dear Lion. Please read all of Revelations chapter 3 before you
start getting into the "Us against them" mentality.

    In Christ your brother Carlos

    Hey dude,
you mention the christians in gaza, being in the middle of the whole scene.

I can tell you few things, first of all read about the persecutions done by hammas to many christians inside gaza and other muslim groups.

btw since most you people here are some kind of protestant-evengalists branch of christianity.. as far as I know most not really accept other christian ideologies as catholic and orthodox.. which are popular in the middle east and gaza aswell.

are they still your "brothers"? (I ask this seirously to know whats most of you people opinion)

and chatting with Israeli christian arabs they told me that christians in here (ones who belive and religous not secular dudes) and in gaza kind of support Israel.. and prayed for the safety of the people in Sderot.

for those of you who dont remember.. I live around here for whole my life.. and even if you had a bit of inner conflict about supporting or attacking a side.. I can give you some stories from my own life, my family, friends. and more.. then you tell me what you think.

btw you know whats most weird about all those sayings that allah or god or whoever people speak for say that he "hates" Israel, well then its funny.

cuz god/allah brought his people back to the country.
helped them win in battles against more older/developed countries, and yet muslims belive that everything is god's will, then why they dont realise that maybe its god's will that his people would be safe and not destroyed by fanatics?

(btw 3 hours ago rockets fell in nahariya, in the north of Israel)
  18. Hey j4jh,

I defend the right of anyone needing to defend themselves against some thug.

If the people here in the United States started getting rockets shot at us from over the boarder in Mexico... or Canada..
You can bet we won't just wait for them to stop.

Israel has been overly-patient with hammas to stop it's shelling of rockets.

I think most people of this idea here, would consider it a persons right to believe as they wish to.
As long as others are not harmed by their belief.

As far as 'brothers'.., you'll probably find as many opinions on that as there are people who have them ; )

..and I'm with you on the whole allah thing.....
BinLaden said it was all going to end in his favor... and he's still on the run and in hiding ; )

God bless you and keep you, and all your family & friends,

  19. Where in the world did you get that idea from what I said?

I pointed out that God is interested in individuals: "..sup with him.." individual.. not a group of any people.
