God's gift of Tongues Are Not for Private Use

No - there is no scripture that condemns praying in the Holy Spirit.
As for you please feel free to restrict your prayers to the smallness of your carnal mind.
But for me as a true worshipper I shall worship my Father in heaven (who is spirit) in spirit and truth.
We are told not to pray with a fruitless mind. How is praying with a fruitless mind fruitful? It is not.

Really !!
Mark 16:15 And he said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
- and in response to this preaching and witnessing -
16:16 Who hath believed and is baptized shall be saved; but who hath disbelieved shall be condemned.
16:17 And these signs shall follow them that have believed: in my name shall they cast out demons, speak with tongues;
16:18 and in their hands they shall take up serpents, and if they drink aught deadly, it shall in now wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Still happening buddy, and all the more so in these very last of last days.
Jesus said that to the apostles. The apostles are the one who helped lay the foundation. The apostles are those God testified to what they said with miracles and signs. There are no more apostles, the foundation is laid, God already testified to what they said, the sign was given. Tongues, prophecies, and new knowledge has ceased.

The believers who supposedly speak in tongues nowadays, they speak gibberish and believe God turns their gibberish into supernatural language, and that is a false doctrine.
You have failed to prove this despite your ongoing numerous postings against the gospel of salvation.
You make personal claims that tongues are not true, not God given and are gibberish nonsense.
Given that God answers my prayers in tongues many times over with an abundance of blessings, healings and miracles - God proves you wrong.

I have always said that it is the newly born again child within us (The New Creature) that is doing the speaking.
You are not applying the verse below rightly when you post that above.

@Garee You are tagged in the hopes God may case the increase for your discernment about how God's gift of tongues can never be for private use,
"What is it then? I will pray with the spirit (his own) and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit (his own) , and I will sing with the understanding also."
Paul is praying that someone else will interpret the tongue being manifested through Paul by the Holy Ghost so that Paul would understand that tongue himself also. That means tongues can never be for private use when he is praying that someone else will interpret that tongue being manifested by the Holy Ghost.
Just because a mans carnal mind does not understand the language spoken, does not make what is spoken gibberish to God. As the prayer is done in faith towards/to God.
Again, Paul prays that someone else will interpret that tongue. Read how Paul is still exhorting the gift of prophesy over tongues for why he is not saying that he is praying IN tongues but praying while speaking in tongues. Apply verse 13 to verse 14 below for how Paul is actually meaning that while the Holy Spirit is manifesting tongues throgh Paul, Paul is praying ( not the Holy Spirit ) that someone else will interpret the tongue so that he may understand that tongue for that tongue to be fruitful to himself as well, thus edified which is the purpose of tongues with interpretation for why prophesy is better than tongues because tongues is not a stand alone gift for any believer to be using..

1 Corinthians 14:12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. 13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. 14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. 15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
You have your opinion but the scriptures trump it.
More like scripture refutes your wrongful application of it only because you want to believe God's gift of tongues can be turned around from God speaking unto the people to do instead for your spirit to be speaking back to God without understanding what your spirit is saying. How is that not confusion in and of itself right there? And God cannot be the author of confusion!
I will pray in the spirit for I do not necessarily know what I need to pray for, however the spirit of a man knows the deep things
of the man just as the Spirit of God knows the deep things of God. Thus I will let my spirit pray in my stead as it knows the deep things of me and will pray in a manner that
benefits me better than what I might pray with understanding.
This is why Paul states he will pray both ways. He doesn't want to miss out on something better than what he may have been praying for with only the understanding.
If Paul prays for someone else to interpret that tongue being manifested thru him by the Holy Ghost as he would pray for that understanding, then how can Paul ever use it for private use since he could not know what that tongue for "private use" is doing like is it self edification, giving thanks to God, the Holy Spirit praying ( if you are going to apply Romans 8:26-27 in the errant versions rightly although it still runs contrary to John 16:13 no matter what Bible verson you are using which is why the KJV and a few modern bibles has it right as the Holy Spirit cannot even utter His groanings ; which is to say you cannot apply Romans 8:26-27 to that being your spirit that is praying to God from that passage ).

Since God is not the author of confusion and tongues needs interpretation in the assembly, then what you are posting above is a wresting of the scriptures to rationalize tongues for private use as some say it is about the Holy Ghost making those intercessions out loud while you say it is your spirit that is doing this BUT both positions are not rightly dividing the word of truth.

Let me ask you this; if the world has pagan's supernatural tongues before Pentecost ( and the Bibe confirms this in Isaiah 8:19 as gibberish nonsense ) how can sinners know they have departed from those spirits and that kind of tongues to the real God's gift of tongues if God's gift of tongues can switch mode all of a sudden from God speaking unto the people TO your spirit speaking unto God just because you cannot interpret it and so you had ASSUMED for private use?

How can the church know that those sinners have truly departed from those spirits and that kind of tongues if God would allow His tongues for God to speak unto the people to mimic pagan's supernatural tongue of gibberish nonsense?

John 7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

1 Thessalonians 5
:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Can something that was evil, be good all of a sudden? No. Since we are to prove all things and abstain from all appearances of evil, then tongues can never be for private use just because it comes with no interpretation. Indeed, because no one benefits from it by understanding that gibberish nonsense is why pagan's supernatural tongue can never be the real God's gift of tongues and neither can that extra phenomenon that brought it either.

May God cause the increase for I know I cannot.

Evidently, you do not know the difference between a "ministry" gifts to a "spiritual" gifts." Prophscying is NOT better than speaking in tongues with interpretation as they are both equal. You would have known that if you had read closely in verse 5.

1Co 14:4 The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church.
1Co 14:5 Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up.

Let me highlight that for you.

....one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues unless someone interprets.....

The one speaking in tongues builds himself up " ..one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself..." (notice: this is private use of tongues) which is a "spiritual" gift.

Speaking in tongues with interpretation is a "ministry" gift.

You are still taking verses out of context and ignoring the purpose for why Paul was comparing tongues against prophesy for why prophesy is the best gift for any believer to seek after out of all spiritual gifts.

1 Corinthians 14:1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

Modern day tongue speakers read in between the lines as if Paul is testifying to how tongues is a way better gift for private use than prophesy can ever be, thus making Paul look like an idiot as if he does not know what he is talking about when all along he was comparing tongues against prophesy thru out that chapter as proving it needs interpretation for the tongue speaker to understand it & benefit from that tongue thus be truly edified also.

That means tongues can only edify the tongue speaker once it is interpreted and not before. That is why Paul was attempting to compare tongues against prophesy in proving 1 Corinthians 14:1 that the gift of prophesy is the preferred spiritual gift over all spiritual gifts because tongues is not a stand alone gift at all therefore can never be for private use for why that gibberish nonsense should not be assumed as "also" being part of the real God's gift of tongues wen in truth, it is not, and should be shunned by praying normally so you know what you had prayed for to give the father thanks in Jesus's name for answers to prayers that you KNOW you had prayed for.

John 8:17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

In the immortal words of Glenn Campbell in True Grit "You couldn't see it if you saw it."

1 Corinthians 14:14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.
But scripture does not teach that this is bad or wrong.
It is a simple statement of fact that praying in the Holy Spirit is not praying with understanding of the mind.
And for Pentecostal saints praying in the Spirit is scriptural and exercising the power of God.
This is scriptural.

Just believe the scripture what it says. It says your mind is unfruitful to pray without understanding and to pray with understanding.

1 Corinthians 14:14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.

1 Corinthians 14:15 So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding.

As per usual you are wrong.
You deliberately reinterpret scripture to suit your backsliding doctrine.
Here in verse 15 Paul is teaching that he can choose to pray both in the spirit and also he can pray with the understanding of his mind.
So again this is what Pentecostal saints do - we pray in the Holy Spirit and we also pray in our own natural language.

Not all how claim they speak in tongues also interpret.
