SignUp Now!Yes, but that's not what this thread is about.@ Butch5 -- is He Your Lord and Savior. That is of the Main importance.
Yes, but not about meIt IS about baptism and itś connection to salvation -- being born// born again.
I'm talking about the thread. The thread is not about me or my relationship with the Lord. It's about how being born again ties to baptismBut it's God who Wants a personal relationship with every one of us. So , yes, it Should be about y ou and me and everyone on the forum and in the rest of the world. Because 'we' are all part of this world that have been died For. It's not meant to be only head Knowledge but personal inner belief.
It would. I don't know why people are asking me about it.And That would apply to everyone on here and / or reading it.
I don't challenge Biblical teachings. I challenge church teachings that arent found in the original teachings.Maybe it's because you always challenge Biblical teachings. Or Frequently do.
But, what I was talking about is why people ask about my relationship with the Lord. That doesn't have any bearing on the subject of this discussion.
It's not what I consider the original teachings, it's what they actually are. Anyone can look at the early writings and see what they are. The quote I posted from Irenaeus earlier in this thread is an example of one.What do you consider the 'original teachings'?
It is. However, it's been my experience that such questions lead the conversation away from the original topic and/or are sometimes used in an attempt to discredit an argument.I tend to agree.
At the same time, is it not fitting that we should all look out for the wellbeing of each other and to reach out to any with the Gospel, which i think perhaps our Sister Sue is inclined to do.
==============
perhaps let us continue with the thread.
Jesus is Lord
Bless you all ....><>
I'd have to disagree with you on the heaven/hell part, but you already know that.There is sometimes the tendency to 'intellectualize' rather than 'personalize' -- God's Word centralizes on man's fallen condition and what Jesus Christ did on the cross -- Himself -- to rectify that and bring us Back to God. And that there is a heaven or hell in each person's future. How to stay Out of the one and be able to In the Other. Adam and Eve were in a good, personal relationship with God in the garden. And it's through the shed blood of Christ / His bodily resurrection that we can Again be in a close personal relationship with God. We Can have an inner peacefulness that comes through Jesus Christ. To the Jews 1st and Then to the rest of the world. / Gentiles. = All of us.
We find out that mankind is capable of both very Good and very Evil.
Heaven is, hell isn't. But people don't go to Heaven. I believe we've discussed this . However, it's off topic.Okay -- Why -- the heaven / hell part. They Are for eternity.
