That is the problem - way too many people have been convinced that the false doctrine of OSAS is true.

If a person has eternal life when they become a believer, why do Christians die?

Yep, you guessed it. The only reason born-again believers are still alive in their physical bodies (which have died) is that the Spirit of God is giving their bodies life.

Rom 8:11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

That breath returns to God at death. So how could these dead understand Paul's letter without understanding?

That might be a good question to ask Paul, or better yet the Holy Spirit who told Paul what to write.

But the reply was yours. Paul didn't say he was writing to dead people, you did. So Paul wouldn't know why you think he was writing to dead people. You're the only who can answer that.

Jesus warns us for a reason. Why do you think he is warning us if we can't lose our salvation?
