Definition of faith

That is Jesus teaching people to believe in him.

They still had to obey before they could get the Holy Spirit.

So start believing Jesus’ words by faith…

Luke 11:9-13​

Right, you need the grace of God too.

Grace is that we don't have to get circumcised and sacrifice animals anymore.

Ephesians 2:8

The gift is to His Children, not to people who just believe.

Read carefully the scriptures you posted...it is about God giving His Children the Holy Spirit.

We seek to become children of God by getting Jesus' teaching and doing what he says to do.

We get wisdom and salvation and kinship with God AFTER we do what Jesus says to do.
