But it is our work that makes our faith living and our love perfect and vice versa. Paul thru the Holy Spirit found it prudent / expedient to turn our heart towards God and glorify God's anointed.
That way the seed could be planted on good soil.
Your words are not wrong for an infant or someone new in Christ. However at some point "God Wiling" that infant must become a child and that child must become an adult.
At some point the mother is going to tell the youth to depart from her nipple. The flesh alone can discern that is true.

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection;
not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Hebrews 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Hebrews 6:3
And this will we do, if God permit.
--------------------------------------------------------------
That is a big problem with Christianity because we want the privileges of Infants but treated like Adults. Unless otherwise indicated I treat everyone on here like Adults.
And this is not specifically towards you or anything but a spirit is on me to be firm with this.
Faith is expedient but works are still needed in order to maintain that faith. There are nice and sweet ways to say this and there are more blunt ways to say this but the end result is all the same
John 3:16 is for infants while 1 Corinthians 2:15 is for Adults
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
1 Corinthians 2:15 But
he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. "once we remain in a spiritual frame of mind of course"
1 Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But
we have the mind of Christ.

Only a carnal man or a man who speaks carnally divides faith from works. One is more expedient? yes. One has a better solid foundation? yes. But are they both of God. Yes. His word is one.
1 Corinthians 3:3 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
1 Corinthians 3:2
I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
1 Corinthians 3:3
For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
1 Corinthians 3:4
For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
1 Corinthians 3:5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
The Law came from Moses which came from God & Grace and Truth came from Christ which came from God.
Is one of these Prophets more excellent? Yes. But God is more excellent than all who sent both of them with his word.

Faith and Works is like Man and Woman in The Lord
1 Corinthians 11:11
Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

Ecclesiastes 12:13
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Ecclesiastes 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
