Abortion

Well lets not forget, an angel filled Mary in on everything. And Mary did not die giving birth to Jesus.
Sorry if it seems like I'm trying to disprove anything, I'm just lookin for answers :)

Many have experienced what you have written in your previous posts (You wrote What if you/your wife get(s) raped, you/she conceive(s), and giving birth will kill you/her? You/She have/has done nothing wrong, but neither has the baby. I can't imagine anyone having to tell their wife that they'd rather her die )

Your not the only one, if truly you did, experienced that. I know that does not relate to what you want, but I dont know if your just asking a hypothetical question .
But we live in a fallen world in which our victory is in Christ Jesus as our Lord.
You should ask "What would Jesus do in my position if all I said was true?"
But please explain yourself better so we can relate to your dilemma in any thing you are asking.

Ah, yes sorry. My situation was purely hypothetical. And it was just a simple set up, there's not much information I can add.
Funny thing "What would Jesus do in my position if all I said was true?"
I'd say he would preform a miracle and have them both live somehow. Seems like something Jesus would do.

Heeeyy, then what your telling me is you just wanted an itchy ear answer to appease your academic understanding and not the practical way in Gods power through Christ Jesus the Lord within your heart for a real need to be met by God. WoW! That's not fair!
Sounds like most in the so-called church today!
Abortion is a real issue that many who have taken are now hurt in their conscious who need real healing from God not an academic issue to have a right argument to ones theological stance!
People are hurting because they listened to the god of this world.
If you are one reading this right now, not referring to xv2000, God loves you and wants to bring healing to your life to the decision you made that you knew is wrong. And I suggest you contact the administrator of this forum, Chad, to direct you to someone who can help you through Christ!

I'm sorry for demeaning it to an academic standpoint, really. Its just that my girlfriend asked this question before and I was just thinking about it, and the situation scared me. I was hoping to find scripture to lead me in the right direction. Sorry if I offended anyone.

I feel that life is life in the womb or out of the womb, when a baby is born premature its taken care of looked after,so why is those who choose abortion still allowed to have their baaby murdered.Abortion is murder because the child is a life even though he/she is unborn.

To me the topic of abortion is pretty clear. by answering one question it should become clear to others as well. Here is the Question:

Who creates life, God or satan?

satan can't create life, never could, never will. It is only God who creates life, and allows life.
therefore if a person becomes pregnant (for whatever reason) it is only because God creates life, and He is going to bestow upon that person the gift of life. If then we KNOW to be true that God creates life and only He does it, whey do we go about to destroy what God is trying to create through abortions?

13. For thou hast possessed my reigns: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.

14. I will praise thee; marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

15. My substance was not hid from thee when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members where written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

God says he writes the name of the baby in his book when it is still without form. Do you understand? When the baby still has no hands or feet or head, God says it is an individual and he writes it down in his book.

Everyone can help in this area concerning the lives of children being lost through abortion. This act cannot be shrugged off, nor can it be ignored. This needs action if it is to be stopped. Many can help donate to their local crisis pregnancy center which is non-profit. These centers help counsel women against having an abortion. They also offer services concerning financial assistance, child raising resources, and adoption referrals. People can also volunteer at a crisis pregnancy center. They hold Bible studies where they show them God's love for the mother and the child. By volunteering or donating money, you are saving a child's life. Educating your friends will also help, as many people are deceived about abortion and are led to believe that it is the easy way out. If you are unable to donate money or time, donating your knowledge helps wonders. Knowledge is power in many of these instances and knowledge of God's Word and of how abortion hurts the mother and child will change someone's opinion and help them be concerned as well.

[/h] Romans 2:1-6
1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. 2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

America you think you are getting away with the murder of over 50,000,000 babies, you are storing up the wrath of God which will come at the day of judgment!

Thank you so much for posting on such a controversial issue. I was discussing this topic with a college the other day as both my college and I were raised quite differently. I grew up in a more catholic family while she was raised without any religion. I have a strong stance against abortion as I feel since conception it is a life. Even though many women are not planning to become pregnant, I do not feel they have the right to kill an innocent child that was brought into the world by god. I feel that many people struggle with this issue over the issue today as it is more acceptable to abort your child than give your child up for adoption. Coming from a family that has taken in foster children and adopted two girls, I feel that instead of promoting abortion we need to promote adoption and abstinence especially for teens.

abortion should never have became a law its murder. abortion doctors kill millions of babies a year its life not just cells judgement will be harsh for them

Perspective

"As nations can not be rewarded or punished in the next world they must be in this." -Another perspective from George Mason that reproofs Americas fate. We have the opportunity to do good or do bad. America has selfishly thought about there own comforts; disregarding Gods Words. What happened to Majority rule, minority rights? God Owns us, the very least unbelievers can do is give rights to God in his World. I'm not saying God is a minority; though he is somewhat treated like one by numerous people.

i do not think the issue over whether it is sin or not is really up for debate. i think the vast majority of real Christians agree that abortion is indeed a sin. The issue, to me, is whether or not it should be outlawed. The issue is, what sins should be illegal and which should be illegal? If we make a law against abortion, should we make a law against unbelief? What gives us the right to impose one of God;'s laws on other people, but not the rest of God's laws on them as well? Furthermore, should we really feel sorry for a child who never has to live in this dark, cold world; but instead gets to go straight to Heaven?

I've always had questions about abortion, in the case of rape can the victim be guilty of killing a child in front of God? And if yes, then how will the mother deal with raising a child of rape? I know this may sound odd, but I really would like to know what the bible says about it or the spiritual conscience.

Exodus 23:7" Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked." God expects us to stand up for him as believers. If someone is not a Christian then of course he or she will not uphold God's law. Keep in mind God is the creator himself, @Taylorr this is God's world, who are we to say oh well let us just appease everyone and hope God is okay with that. "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path"-Psalm 119-105. When we reach true maturity in Christ and become an adult in our faith then you should understand that life is not about yourself. Ultimately, it is all about pleasing pleasing God and exalting his name. The Greatest commandment is to love God with all of our heart, and the second commandment is to love your neighbor as your self. You are coming from the wrong perspective, this is God's world. Now a component of your message makes sense, we should give everyone free will to do as they please. That has exceptions of course, killing innocent children is certainly outside of the boundaries. However, we should be role models and promote Christ like living.

Should we feel sorry for a child that never had to live in a cold dark world? I can testify that I could have lived in poverty and things could have been bad off for me. Instead, I was permitted to live, and ended up being adopted out of poverty. I learned about Christ Jesus, and eventually acquired a life saving relationship with him. All I can say is God will judge us for our sins. This is a sinful world, the lines of sin often are blurred by sinful humanity. Regardless, God promises if we honor him then he will honor us. Draw closer to God, ask him to test you and make you a faithful believer.

@Read more of the Bible if unsure.

  • Sorry brother Taylor but I totally disagree with you analogy. Though I agree that sin is sin and unbelief is the only sin that is unpardonable, the thought that abortion is some how analogous to the act of unbelief and, oh, abortion is somehow O.K. because we are doing the baby a favor, is reprehensible and an insult to God....I mean no offense!
  • About the only thing I would agree with is that unbelief and certainly most abortion is willful sin...Hebrews 10:26
  • I am not accussing you of anything, but your kind of reasoning fits right in with the liberal and progressive theologies that are creeping into the church.
  • Why don't we do this instead. There is an argument with rape and incest but for the most part, why don't we make abortion go full term and then let the baby be a ward of the state for adoption. That way some women will change their minds and keep the baby. That way we perserve the sanctity of life.... Romans 13:9, "The commandment, 'Do not murder,' . . .is summed up in this one rule 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law." (If we act in love, we do not take life or harm life. This is God's commandment.)

I don't know that the bible speaks directly on this situation you are asking about, but I do know this: two wrongs don't make a right. Following that train of thought, murder does't do anything to make a rape any better. God may have big plans for that child as well. There's always adoption to consider too. No reason to murder an innocent child just because their father is a horrible person.

If the devil gives you lemons, make lemonade.

Hey Travis thank you for your answer, but there are other methods to prevent conception so I think it's better to take an emergency after pill than to let the fetus form into a human being. I just figured this thing out while I was struggling to accept your response. I think except for the (rape) issue a person shouldn't make a baby and have second thoughts 3 weeks later in their pregnancy to kill the baby. I am in no way promoting abortion it's plain evil. Because some use these babies as demonic sacrifices for wealth and stuff which is absurd. And whether or not a child should live that should be God's choice as the Sovereign one.
