The Book Of Revelation has the following in The Begining of It.
This is the revelation of JESUS CHRIST [His revealing of the divine mysteries. God gave to Him TO DISCLOSE AND MAKE KNOWN CERTAIN THINGS WHICH MUST SHORTLY COME TO PASS IN THEIR ENTIRETY.
The above show that The Book Of Revelation was for THAT TIME PERIOD! Yet It is still taken out of place and applied to TODAY! Why ?
Are We bond servants? If Those Things took place in THEIR TIME; Then why are [people Today still forcing It into This Age?
There was One Writer who made a very large sum of money writing A Book on Revelation; IT was much in Error!
I have given some thought to writing on That Book.
What I have written here is to bring into more understanding that The Book Of Revelation should be keep for The Time in which It was written for.

The goal of the father of lies of taking away the warning not to add to the book of prophecy or called book of life the perfect is sealed with 7 seals till the ends of time.
When he says this book in must be in respect to all the chapters. Not the last chapter alone which need the rest of the Bible to understand the meaning of the metaphors used in; parables which without Christ spoke not even once
Revelation 22:18-19;For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:;And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Can we add to sola scriptura? Can we take away from it?

Yet people still do exactly That ! Then He said: "John to The Seven Churches that are in Asia: " Yet people keep taking what was Witten TO THEM, and apply It to Today Age! !

Are You One of Them? IF You proclaim You are, then take heed!

The Book of Revelation wasn't in the canon until the Synod of Hippo Regius in North Africa (A.D. 393);
And it shouldn't be in the canon now.
God wouldn't have taken almost 400 years to make up his mind.

While I am no longer affiliated with the Church of the East (started in the Parthian Empire by the Apostle Thomas), the book of Revelation was never in their canon. If I HAD to comment, I'd say the Preterist people are correct.
It would appear you are taking away the context of him giving us ears to hear (his understanding)
1Revelation 21 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
The context is the signified understanding of parables .Without parable the signified understanding Christ spoke not .Called hidden manna in 2:17
Revelation 11 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
The key learns how to rightly divide or interpret the parables which without Christ spoke not. Not even once
