Where in History are we to place the rule of Lucifer on earth?

Luke 4:6.. He said to him, "I will give you all their authority and glory. It has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to.

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Rev 13:8

This will be done during the "tribulation" period.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Matt 28:18

Where do you suppose Jesus received this power from. "Behold, I have the keys of Hell and death."

the bible says that God created the heavens and the earth in six days, about six thousand years ago.

but when it says "heavens", in this instance, i think it refers only to the spacial realm surrounding the earth... and not to the "third heaven", the eternal throne of God, where angels live.

i think the heaven where God lives was probably created eons and eons ago, and satan and the angels may have been created eons ago as well.

as for the fall of satan... could it have been around the same time that God decided to create the world? i think so. i would venture to guess that the two events are not entirely separate in nature. maybe the fall of satan gave God the perfect opportunity to create the earth, or maybe the creation of the earth gave satan the perfect opportunity to rebel against God. or maybe the two events are not related at all.

but we can say two things for sure: 1) satan had already fallen after he spoke through the snake in the garden of eden, and 2) satan still had accessed to the throne of God in heaven when Job was living. (because satan goes up into heaven (the third heaven, i believe) and talks to God about Job)

so... has Satan been kicked out of heaven by the time the book of Job was written? I dont think so, but he was already fallen, thats for sure.

maybe satan got kicked out of heaven when Jesus said "it is finished" on the cross?

i dont know. but, to reply to the question about satan's rule on earth.... i think its obvious that God has always been the ultimate ruler of earth.
but, in a human sense, satan has ruled earth since the fall of adam and eve and will continue to rule the earth until Jesus returns. at least, he rules the unsaved (the majority).

There is no doubt "Lucifer" (Satan) ruled on "earth" at one time for he had a "throne" from which he ruled. Lucifer had said in his heart, "I ascend above the clouds, and the stars of God, and be like the most high God...".(Isiah 14:13-15) You can not ascend above the "clouds" or "stars" of God unless you are first "below" these. There is no where in Genesis chapter 1:2 onward that describe Lucifer's kingdom. His Kingdom and rule was not on the earth in which we are now living. There was another earth that existed before the one we are now living on, in fact the earth we are now living is made of the same "material" of the previous earth!!!
2 Peter reveals to us the two earths.

2Pe 3:4.. They will say, "Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation."
2Pe 3:5.. For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God,
2Pe 3:6.. and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished.

This is not talking about "Noah's" flood as that flood did not "destroy" every thing as the word "perished" means here. The word "perished" here means, "to destroy fully". Noah's flood did NOT destroy all the plant life and vegetation like we see in Genesis 1:2 and God had to bring forth "seed" again for the plants to come forth. 2 Peter 3:5-6 is referring to Genesis 1:2 when the earth was completely over flowed with water!!!

2Pe 3:7.. But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

The earth that "now" exists is not the same earth that then existed back then before it was overflowed with water and "perished completely"
Lucifer ruled on the earth that existed long ago before the earth we are now living.

That being said, I have heard of your theory about a prior earth before. In fact, one of my favorite preachers believes in that theory (a prior earth that Satan ruled). But I do not. I think it's pretty clear that the verse from Peter is talking about Noahs flood that destroyed the whole world. And I think it is obvious that in order to take God's throne, one would have to ascend, no matter how high in heaven they might be, God's throne would still be higher.
But anyway, I am a conservative fundamentalist who believes in taking the inerrant Word of God literally. However, some of The Word is figurative. For example, "the world" generally refers to the population of unbelievers, and not to the earth itself. Etc etc.

Brother. what "evidence" are we use to prove what we believe as truth? Is not the Word of God that proof? Faith is the "evidence" of things not seen, which comes by the Word of God. I do not believe in theories!
How many "floods" have there been on this earth written in scripture? There have been "two". Genesis 1:2 and in Genesis 8. The first one destroyed completely the earth and the second did not. The first flood God called and spoke directly to it and all the water "quickly" fled away. The second flood God said nothing, but caused a "wind" to blow which caused the water to "S L O W L Y" recede away after 150 days.

This was Noah's flood.....

Gen 7:19 And the waters prevailed so mightily on the earth that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered.

Gen 8:3 and the waters receded from the earth continually. At the end of 150 days the waters had abated,

This here was NOT Noah's flood.......Notice he is talking about Genesis 1:2 in the beginning.

Psa 104:5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.
Psa 104:6 Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.
Psa 104:7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.


2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
2Pe 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

These two verses are talking about Genesis 1, not Noah's flood.

There was a mentality that flourished during Peter's time, that is also is prevalent today. There are many who are "willfully" ignorant of what happened to the the previous earth that perished from a flood that completely destroyed everything in Genesis 1:2!! All things are NOT continuing as it was from the beginning. The first earth was completely destroyed, and then once again all flesh was destroyed by Noah's
flood. Then we have many other places where God has been active at work in the cause of man. Sodom and Gomorrah was completely destroyed by fire, which will the outcome of this earth in which we are living.

2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
