What does the Bible teach about election?

I see the blood as being a Limited Atonement. Like it or not, we are both limiting the atonement. I limit it in recipients but call it fully effective whereas you limit it in effectiveness but say it is for all.

I believe - and I think Scripture supports - that when the Bible says the atonement is for all, it means that it is available to all. If the atonement is limited, God is forgiving toward some people (loves them) and unforgiving toward others (hates them).

Like I said earlier, I give ALL glory and ALL credit to God whereas you reserve room for boasting in yourself. Mine is not the dangerous one.

You lack of understanding is only over shadowed by you arrogance!

You use confusing rhetoric that leads down a path of mis-understanding.

I am using simple truth:

Christ died for the sins of all and God forgives and saves all who recieve him in faith.

This is exactly the case and it rests with God completely. Who are we to ask the potter why have you made me thus?

I'm breaking a promise to be quiet about your theories.
Rojoloco, you said:Who are we to ask the potter why have you made me thus?[/QUOTE]
Your stance has been, thus far, that man is saved by election and not belief in grace?
What on God's green earth are you saying here about the Potter?
So, if those who are NOT God's elect, should not look up and question why they can't be chosen also....what a dismal, negative outlook.

The very essence of your theory is evil:
  • It confuses
  • It's result can be negative
  • Can Spawn lack of hope
  • Can lead to low self-esteem or worth
This list can go on for ever.
Rojoloco, I am truly sorrowful having the urge to "hammer " you so often. But some how, you must wake up and see what you are saying and potentially doing to others.

If you do preach this, if you actually utter this nonsense to others, especially those who are seeking truth, they could be put in a bondage state of negativity.

What if you have just one poor soul who believes you, in that, they are only saved if they are God's Elect.
So, they go home, waiting, praying, reading the word but nothing comes. They don't dare question God, they just wait and nothing happens. What then?

I'll tell you what:
They could easy slip into dispair, not feeling any change, no regenration, no renewing of the mind, they're just waiting on God because you told them it has nothing to do with their belief, just wait what for God to regenerate them, THEN you can believe.
They struggle and struggle and with out a promise, they slip into a state of unworthiness, they feel that God must not have chosen them, and therefore can't love them.

  • Hog-wash! Yours is the way of failure.
  • Jesus sets you free, you could put others in a trap!
  • Jesus is the truth, you start a lie.
  • Jesus is light, light covers darkness, in Jesus darkness can not exist.
  • Jesus is positive, no negative can exsist in him.
  • YOUR theology can produce darkness, negativity and Jesus is not there.
Stop and think about what you may be doing to others, were is the hope in your nonsense?
