What church do you go to?

I go to an Evangelist Church with my husband, daughter and son.

You may initially think that our demeanor is quite reserved, as we come from quite a reserved town but we are really an expressive, friendly lot of people when you get to know us. We are very family orientated, spiritually motivated and understanding.

God Bless

Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church in Owensboro Ky.
So often the Holy Ghost takes over the service and our preacher doesn't get to preach.........words cannot describe it

Lev 20:7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I [am] the LORD your God.

1Pe 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

1Pe 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Luk 1:75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

Act 3:12 And when Peter saw [it], he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

Rom 1:4 And declared [to be] the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Rom 6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

Rom 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

2Cr 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

1Th 3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

1Th 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

1Ti 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

Tts 2:3 The aged women likewise, that [they be] in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

Hbr 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened [us] after their own pleasure; but he for [our] profit, that [we] might be partakers of his holiness.

Hbr 12:14 Follow peace with all [men], and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

I go to Calvary Chapel, a non-denominational church. Our Pastor has a cool sense of humor, and is an inspiration both as a follower of Christ and a church leader.

After attending "traditional" churches for years, our family recently started attending the Lancaster Community Church, Lancaster, OH. it's a highly spirit filled church, non-denominational, and is in a former grocery store. Dress is very casual, and the first service is earlier than most, 8:30 AM. Our services start with musicians playing upbeat songs, i.e, Third day, Jars of Clay, etc. and also original material. Then there's a coffe break for people to get acquainted, then the Message. Lots of prayer groups meet throughtout the weeke in both the church and homes. Also lots of ministries to serve in the church and community. So this is one of these churches that you could easily remain anonymous in, or get involved with literally every day of the week. We love it!!!

I attend & am a member of a local Church of the Nazarene.
This congregation is very small, but there are churches in the denomination of various sizes.
I have a very friendly, loving church family. They are family to me.
I have been a "Nazarene" since 1971. I have been very happy in this denomination.

No problem sister. However, it is a good idea to find a local Bible based church to attend. You see, the Church is there for a reason. Christ is the Head of the Church, we are the body. Do you wish to remove yourself from the Body of Christ?

Colossians 1:18
And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

Colossians 1:24
Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ's afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.

1 Corinthians 12:27
Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

Ephesians 4:11-13
It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Colossians 3:15
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

[portion below taken from gotquestions.org]

THE CHURCH DEFINED: The word church comes from the Greek word "Ecclesia" which is defined as "an assembly or congregation of free citizens summoned or 'called out' by a herald in connection with public affairs." As you can see, the root word is not that of a building, but of people.

Why is church membership important? Church membership is a way of officially identifying yourself with a local body of believers. Church membership is a statement that you are in agreement with that local church and are a representative of it. Church membership is also a good way of determining who is allowed to vote on important church decisions and/or who is involved in official church positions / functions.

[end portion]

Ephesians 1:22-23
And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

1 Corinthians 12:13
For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

Acts 2:42-47
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

i know it will be hard for you to come in our church coz these miles away from US.
but in case you come to visit here, take to attend in one our service in "Bread of Life Christian Ministry" here in Makati..and we'll also welcome you in the church in our town where i used to go, "Levites of Christ Christian Ministries". yes you heard me right, Levites-coz we're all worshippers of God.

"We took sweet fellowship together; We walked in the house of God with the throng."
Psalm 55:14

I go to [edited by Yeshua no LINKS are to be posted without Chad's permission] in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Small but big enough. My last church had between 4k and 4500 in attendance each Sunday. Now we are believing God for 200 members. Each one has its strengths, but the strongest place in the world is smack dab in the center of Gods will!

I dont go to church , I dont like them , never have

God loves the church, Satan hates it. You may want to consider the company you are in with this position...(not saying anything about you personally, just want you to do some self inspection on WHY you feel the way you do)

Every now & then I go to my brother's Church - It's a Christian Fellowship Church - but, to be honest - I really forgoted the name of his Church - The Church of Christ, Jesus - or something like that. And when my husband lets me, I'll go to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Wittnesses. But, if I was to have my way - I would go to all the Churches that worship The Almighty GOD & Jesus Christ - because the way I look at it - we are all Brothers & Sisters & we are all in search of GOD & Jesus Christ!
