The Unteachable Christian: When Defending Your Position Matters More Than Truth

You don't even know what the LORD's day is which is the first thing. So know you going into a whole other topic right now. Constantine is the sole reason people go to church on Sunday and they look for scriptures to support something not commanded by God. So yes I intentional decided not to go into that. This is the LORD's day. Take you time and read so you put things in appropriate context
The ones in purple are the excuses I have already heard in this thread already. That's why it's such an amazing Christian check question so I know who is real and who is out here faking (either by ignorance or simply misled by blind pastors)
I guess I should have told you Sunday/The Lord's Day. Not to be confused with an entirely different subject of The Day of the Lord, but then by your words you knew that. So, instead of having a conversation about it, you choose to ignore it, until I brought it up again, and still were unable to reflect on the verses below that does mention the gathering of disciples on the first day of the week Sunday.

Acts 20:7 And upon the first [day] of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

1Corinthians 16:2 Upon the first [day] of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as [God] hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

Revelation 1:10 KJV I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

As you can see this was a practice being done prior to Constantine and not to be confused with the Day of the Lord, which speaks to our Lord's return. You knew this but you choose division instead of understanding.

2 Corinthians 3:5-6 Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

I began this conversation to understand your perspective and intentions. Now I have some insight, as you’ve, I repeat, have let this topic become a point of division rather than fostering unity despite differences. Which is part of the reason for this site, called Talk Jesus.

You would do well to reread 1 Corinthians 13 and take it to heart.

Does one think because one does a special thing on a certain day that they will profit off of it..get a blessing? Like His crucification isnt satisfactory?
That there @JunoTheServant and @Christ4Ever shows the heart its not out of Love like one would do for an infant cry for food you just feed because they Love them not because ya gonna gain something.

Do you think because i spend most my days pondering with the Lord and see every day Holy that I am missing out?

Perhaps it is those who believe in this once a week thing is missing out..i could not imagine having to spend more time in the world then just pondering and Loving on the Lord

Im j.s.

Too often the day is what people find as being important, rather than the purpose for which it was originally instituted and necessary as a reminder to a stiff-necked people. The same people who by the way choose a human king, over God to rule them!

Not enough people do as you are doing, in treating each day as being Holy and making the time to commune with Him, our God. Legalism couldn't save any in the Old Covenant, and it won't save anyone in the New one either. Watch sister as some will take it that I mean that no one needs to follow the law, which is the furthest thing from the truth. Which is why I mentioned 2 Corinthians 3:6 in an earlier post, and have suggested more than once to read chapter 1 Corinthians 13

So, sister you're not missing out, but gaining so much more than others realize. Stay faithful in what you are doing. \o/

Good question, and one that I find curious as well and one I can't answer for you. :(
Normally, it's not about what one can do on the Sabbath, but rather, what one shouldn't be doing.
It's another reason, the religious during Jesus' ministry had issues with Him.
