You don't even know what the LORD's day is which is the first thing. So know you going into a whole other topic right now. Constantine is the sole reason people go to church on Sunday and they look for scriptures to support something not commanded by God. So yes I intentional decided not to go into that. This is the LORD's day. Take you time and read so you put things in appropriate context
I guess I should have told you Sunday/The Lord's Day. Not to be confused with an entirely different subject of The Day of the Lord, but then by your words you knew that. So, instead of having a conversation about it, you choose to ignore it, until I brought it up again, and still were unable to reflect on the verses below that does mention the gathering of disciples on the first day of the week Sunday. The ones in purple are the excuses I have already heard in this thread already. That's why it's such an amazing Christian check question so I know who is real and who is out here faking (either by ignorance or simply misled by blind pastors)
Acts 20:7 And upon the first [day] of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
1Corinthians 16:2 Upon the first [day] of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as [God] hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
Revelation 1:10 KJV I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
As you can see this was a practice being done prior to Constantine and not to be confused with the Day of the Lord, which speaks to our Lord's return. You knew this but you choose division instead of understanding.
2 Corinthians 3:5-6 Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
I began this conversation to understand your perspective and intentions. Now I have some insight, as you’ve, I repeat, have let this topic become a point of division rather than fostering unity despite differences. Which is part of the reason for this site, called Talk Jesus.
You would do well to reread 1 Corinthians 13 and take it to heart.
With the Love in Christ Jesus.
