That makes sense, really?
2 Thess 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.
2 Thess 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
1. Scripture is very specific that it is a 'He'.
2. How is mankind, government and institutions logical? They can restrain the devil? I would love to see that!!
---------------------
The
devil has full power to torment you ten days and then put you to death Rev 2:10. Right now, he does not, he can only roam looking for whom he can devour 1 Pet 5:8.

Please explain to me what exactly you believe a Christian is. How does one become a Christian?
Yes — it makes perfect sense that the “restrainer” in 2 Thessalonians 2 is
not the Holy Spirit, but something external:
government, law, or civil order.
That’s exactly what early Church Fathers taught
for over 1,800 years before Darby and Scofield came along and rewrote prophecy to fit their rapture escape plan.
Let’s be real:
Paul never says “the Holy Spirit” is the restrainer.
He says
“you know what is restraining him now” — which means the Thessalonians knew exactly what he meant based on previous context. And what did they know? That
Rome — the power of law and order — was holding back total chaos.
Early church fathers agreed:
Tertullian said the restrainer was
the Roman Empire.
Chrysostom called it
lawful order and governance.
Irenaeus and
Augustine agreed it referred to civil authority holding back the man of sin.
But Scofield and Darby needed a "secret rapture", so they
reassigned the restrainer to the Holy Spirit — even though
the text never says that and
none of the apostles or early church fathers believed it.
“How can mankind or institutions restrain the devil?!”
Easy. Look at the world right now:
Take away laws, police, and governments — and watch how fast the devil works through chaos, violence, and false power.
Add total lawlessness, and antichrist figures rise. History proves that:
Hitler, Stalin, Nero, Antiochus Epiphanes.
The devil doesn’t need to “possess” every person — he works through lawlessness, deception, and power structures. Remove civil restraint, and the Beast rises.
Revelation 13:2 — “The dragon gave the Beast his power, and his
throne, and great authority.”
That’s
political power.
That’s what Paul was talking about —
not the Holy Spirit flying off the planet.
“Please explain what a Christian is.”
A Christian is someone who
believes the Gospel, repents, and is
born again through faith in Jesus Christ.
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” — 2 Cor 5:17
“By grace you have been saved through faith… not by works.” — Eph 2:8–9
“Repent and be baptized… and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” — Acts 2:38
“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life.” — John 3:36
That’s it.
Not “join Israel.”
Not “wait for the rapture.”
Not “bless ethnic Jews to earn God’s favor.”
(
Even though let’s be honest — they’re not “ethnic Jews” at all.)
The overwhelming majority of today’s so-called Jews are not descended from Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob.
They’re
Russian and Eastern European Khazars — a Turkic people who
converted to Judaism around 740 A.D.
That’s not “antisemitic conspiracy” — that’s
documented history.
Jewish historian
Shlomo Sand even titled his book
“The Invention of the Jewish People.”
Genetically, they’re about as related to
King David as
Pol Pot, Mao Zedong and Bruce Lee.
So if you think you’re earning brownie points with God by supporting a
Zionist political regime of Christ-rejecting Khazar converts...
You’ve been
Scofield’d. Hard.
God’s covenant wasn’t with bloodlines — it was always with
faith.
And that covenant was
fulfilled in Christ.
“If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” —
Galatians 3:29
There is
no second plan.
There is
no ethnic exception clause. (Even if they were real "ethnic Biblical Jews")
And there sure as heaven isn’t a geopolitical backdoor into the Kingdom.
The Gospel is not about dual covenants, timelines, or national favoritism.
It’s about
Christ crucified, and
anyone who believes in Him is:
Born again
Forgiven
A new creation
A citizen of heaven
And part of the
true Israel of God (Gal. 6:16)
Scofield theology teaches people to
look to unbelieving Israel for fulfillment — instead of to Christ.
That’s not Christianity.
That’s
apostasy wearing a cross.
Wake up.
Believe the Gospel.
Stop worshiping a counterfeit.
“If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” — Galatians 3:29
That’s what a Christian is.
No rapture pass needed.
