Jesus is NOT God the Father, neither is the Father Jesus. The holy Spirit is NOT the Father or Jesus, yet they are one God. If you ever get to see God, you will see Jesus because Jesus is God's body, and in Jesus lives all the fullness of the Godhead "bodily" (Father,Son,Holy Spirit)
That makes no sense to me. I know that's how some Trinitarians describe the doctrine, but in my view, it's really bad...Look at this outrageous contradiction...
Unpacking the doctrine
The idea that there is One God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit means:
- There is exactly one God
- The Father is God
- The Son is God
- The Holy Spirit is God
- The Father is not the Son
- The Son is not the Holy Spirit
- The Father is not the Holy Spirit
A difficult but fundamental concept within Christianity, the Trinity is the belief that God is three separate persons but is still a single God.
How can something be a fundamental concept and at the same time be a difficult concept?
Fundamental...
serving as, or being an essential part of, a foundation or basis; basic; underlying:
Here's a good one...the same person says...
"The Trinity is a controversial doctrine; many Christians admit they don't understand it, while many more Christians don't understand it but think they do."
The mystery of the Trinity: (1+1+1=1) = Nonsense!
This idea that three persons add up to one individual seems like nonsense. And logically, it is.
...the doctrine of the Trinity so easily appears to be an intellectual puzzle with no relevance to the faith of most Christians.

Absolutely nothing worthwhile for the practical life can be made out of the doctrine of the Trinity taken literally.

Trinitarians will tell you that the doctrine of trinity is controversial, incomprehensible, and undecipherable. Yet many of them condemn you if you don't believe in it.
