The Leavening of the Pharisees

When does normal back and forth with fellow believers become more like the leavening of the pharisees on either social media or Christian websites? A lot of the Christian websites that I go to either act like caring and loving followers of Jesus or usually end up becoming more like Pharisees arguing in a synagogue. I'll pray for wisdom and better discernment. I guess I'll continue following the Holy Spirit and pray. Can anyone go into detail about the leavening of the Pharisees? I understand that leavening in bread is yeast that expands the bread, so the leavening of the Pharisees is basically expanding the Pharisees. I wonder what would end up happening if there were more Pharisees than followers of Jesus.

this has occasionally been on my mind and i think that there is a hidden effect of axioms that are trusted because someone you respect spoke them.

the problem is they aren't true. and they take root in your heart and produce deceptions and lies.
