Hello again, Thanks for your reply. ( Matthew 7: 1-3. )"Judge not that ye be not judged" It's interesting you should say that you do not know me personally to be able to judge me.. I don't believe any of us are in a position to judge anyone whether we know them or not, however, we're human and oft times we do. I catch myself thinking judgemental thoughts from time to time and have to be aware of this, to see it to then learn from it and do better next time. I guess that's all anyone can do, but saying that, I don't believe anyone has the right to judge anyone no matter what the circumstances. Only God can do that.
I think that looking at the Bible and related literature, historic writings related to the life of Jesus will teach me a lot about him but I think that prayer and opening my heart to him is just as important.
All my life I've felt separate, different, like I didn't belong. I've tried different churches, many different churches and each time I've been to a church I've quietly sat in prayer and praise of God and in each and every church there has always been someone, an established member of that church say whose ego over rides the point of being in church in the first place and whose heart is cold or.... judgemental. I've met people in churches who don't respond to a smile or a kind word or they judge me because I am not baptised of their particular denomination. Once I was even told I should not wear trousers but a skirt to church, my reply was this "God is glad I am here, I don't think he minds that I am wearing trousers. I never went back to that church. There is one church I found to be warm, and friendly and the people are loving and kind but there is no mention of the Bible there....So, I am confused by all this contradiction. I refuse to go to a church where the people are preaching one thing and doing another, so until then I'll have to continue to pray at home, and I believe God understands that...I'm yet to find out. Quotes from the bible are great to explain stuff like this but there are quotes outside the bible which would do the same so I am in the middle of a dilemma and although I don't know which way to turn, I do know that if God wants to 'save' me through Jesus, I will be guided in that direction by the people I meet and the things I am guided towards, if, that's how it works.
I agree, looking in the Bible will help me to find Jesus and get to know him, but I need to understand how, by whom it was written, what has been edited, what of the lost scriptures, the evidence for it not being tampered with over time...all these things, before I can read it and say "These words are truly from God and have not been twisted by the hand of man"- I think I will know this by praying and waiting for God to show me. I am looking into various sources for information, there's no doubt the Bible is prophetic and there's no doubt that Jesus existed and came from God...my doubts are based around the proof that each and every word that is written has not been twisted by mankind because one small change, one small 'edit' could change the whole meaning so the only reliable source I have now is prayer and research to those ends.
You mentioned the fact that this is a Christian forum, and that the context of the term 'energy' relates to spiritual things. I believe 'energy' relates to ALL things so there is no context as such, If energy is felt, say, the energy of love, these frequencies are literally emitted from the heart, they are measurable and directly affect the environment BEYOND the heart, the said energy is not only literal, but spiritual as well. So a force field of energy that surrounds a person if they are being protected say, is physical, literal and spiritual. God has to be a physicist of the highest order because he designed a universe that is phenomenal and I maintain that knowledge is part of being close to him. I love God and I am interested in Science, the brain, the mind, and all of the wonderful designs God has made and I believe there are quotes in the Bible with reference to that. ...( Psalm 111.2)
I hope you didn't think I was inferring you were wrong to ask questions....I merely meant that it's interesting that how I placed the word ' Light' triggered questions as to whether I was into New Age stuff. ... I've studied a lot about many aspects to many spiritual teachings because I have had to, driven by experiences which were not of a run of the mill type, and experiences which I did not understand, choose or particularly like, although some of those experiences were also extremely uplifting, the source of those experiences has eluded me...... I mean, if you have a near death experience and feel yourself being pulled into an oblivion of black nothingness and fear envelopes you until you cry out to God and an Angel to help and then you see a hand bathed in light appear and pull you up from the blackness....then what? In my case I was humbled and it strengthened my belief in God and Angels and Jesus beyond measure....so I trust I will be shown what's what in future...I guess I'm impatient and want to know now because I had no one to guide me towards God, I've had to stumble my way there, seeking, knocking and waiting. I would fall asleep and find myself floating above my body and through no effort of my own find myself in places that are certainly not worldly....I've been shown dark and light and I chose God, every time, I chose God and I believe he's been testing me for a long time. I have experiences that I have had to call on Archangel Michael for his help and he NEVER let's me down. I have seen evidence of him which is personal to me suffice to say that it is through my learning about Archangel Michael that I have found my way back to God. I believe but I also place great importance on establishing truth before I believe if that makes sense.
Just as a final note....recently....I was feeling extremely low, everything in my life was painful, difficult and after years of relentless stress and struggling to find truth spiritually I felt lost, so lost that I didn't want to get up out of bed one morning, or ever again. I lay there and felt myself drift away into a state of unthinking ...It occurred to me that I could perhaps induce another out of body experience seeing as they happen, or use to happen a lot and I have studied techniques successfully. The thought occurred to me and I began to pray and ask for protection and if I could fly away so to speakmeditating, after which I felt myself begin to ever so slightly lift out...I heard a 'beep' sound which I couldn't identify which annoyed me and ruined my concentration, then I felt a tap on my back and then another three taps on my back...this put rest to any chance of my 'escape' from the physical....I believe it was someone stopping me from doing this. I don't know who, what or how but it worked because I didn't try it again. Was this the hand of God? Jesus? I was told it could be spirits trying to help me....but if spirits are not from God, then who was it? Whatever the answer, as was quoted above somewhere....'Test everything' and that's what I'm doing. I need God and I want to be guided by him. I don't want to look into spirit guides or new philosophies and I don't want to be pressured into a way of thinking, I just want God.
Thanks for your thoughts, it's nice to have your ideas on all this. Much appreciated. Have a wonderful day and God Bless you.
