I’M STILL HERE!

What’s the definition of a “strong” Christian?
Someone who reads his or her Bible every day?
Someone who prays a lot? Someone whose
conversation is laced with Christian expressions?
Someone who invites his or her friends and
neighbors to church?
These are all great things to do, but I believe
the definition of a strong Christian is a person
who has weathered the severe storms of life and
come through not only with their faith in tact,
but stronger. A person who can look the devil
in the face and tell him, “I’m still here! And
there’s NOTHING you can do to shake me!”
“Take my job away – I’m still here! Take my
health away – I’m still here! Knock me down –
I’m still here! Try to mess up my life – I’m
still here!” The person who perseveres with
determination, persistence, patience and tenacity
is what Rev. 3:21 refers to as an overcomer.
Jesus said, “To him who overcomes, I will
give the right to sit with me on my throne.
Just as I overcame and sat down with my
Father on his throne.” This means that when
the going gets tough, the tough get on their
knees. The tough soak in the Word of God.
The tough recruit prayer support. The tough
know how to WAR-SHIP their way through any
and every difficulty in life.
To overcome means to prevail over any
obstacle, to surmount any problem, to get the
better of in any situation. Jesus promises that
He will give a high place of honor in His
kingdom to such people. Revelation chapters 2,
3 and 4 are FULL of promises from Jesus to
overcomers! Do you want to be an overcomer?
Then refuse to give up in the face of spiritual
attack or adversity. Develop a warrior mentality
when it comes to your Christian walk. Stay in
the Word. Learn to recognize when the enemy
is trying to derail you, discourage you, and talk
you into giving up because it’s “just too hard.”
Recruit other Christians to hold you up in
prayer. And above all, WALK in the presence
and the power of the Holy Spirit DAILY. That’s
where your strength lies.
Satan is the accuser of the brethren (that’s
us). We overcome him by the Blood of the
Lamb and by the word of our testimony (Rev.
12:10, 11). So pick yourself up, make sure the
devil can see your NO TRESSPASSING sign,
stand your ground and tell him, “Come what
may. I’M STILL HERE!”

Now feel free to SHOUT I`M STILL HERE!

GLORY TO GOD! I AM, because HE IS!
I don't have time to look the devil in the eye. I try to keep my eyes upon Jesus. Besides, the devil knows I'M STILL HERE. I don't have to tell him.

"I can do (perform or experience) all things through Christ, who strengthens me." (Phil 4:13)

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

No guilt of life, no fear of death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
‘til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand!

Chad, It's called in Christ Alone. Here are all the lyrics. I personally love the third verse. Hallelujah.

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
‘til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him laid
Here in the death of Christ I live

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt of life, no fear of death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
‘til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand

I have Stuart Townend (he's an English worship leader) singing it, I see Newsboys sing it too. It's quite a well know song.

Powerful song. Glory be to God.

I have heard many versions... but I like the Newsboys version.

No guilt of life, no fear of death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
‘til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand

I love this stanza.

I love that song, Coconut. The Worship Team at my church uses it often and, boy, does it energize us all!

I just heard the song 'Wounded Soldier' for the first time on the gospel highway station...what an awesome chorus!

Lord, my battle scars are many and my medals must be few
For in the midst of conflict raging, so often I've failed You
But somehow You've kept me standing, You picked me up each time I'd fall
You don't cast out wounded soldiers, You just love them through it all

Chorus:
One day all the soldiers will go home
They'll cease fighting, for the battle will be won
As the Captain says, "Well done, you've fought the fight, the race is run
Wounded soldier, the war is over, welcome home

In my heart I am a victor, yet at times the flesh is weak
So often I have begged Your grace lest I go down in defeat
It's then I recall that battle that was fought by You alone
As Your blood ran from that rugged cross, our victories were won

I dont know if this was posted before, if so, glory to God again!

The Reason That I'm Standing - JESUS

I have stood for the gospel when it seemed I've stood alone
But through the heartache and frustration I kept my focus on the throne
So many times I have recalled the Saviors words so true
If you'll not be ashamed of me I won't be of you
So I'll proudly stand until I see the face of the one who gave everything for me

When the reason that I'm standing stands in front of me
Every battle that I've fought will fade from memory
I'll bow before his mighty throne then fall down on my knees
When the reason that I'm standing stands in front of me

The road has not been easy at times I lost my way
So often I have stumbled searching for the light of day
Circumstances all around me I thought I'd surely fall
The whispering of doubt and fear told me you will lose it all
But he kept me with his amazing grace
Someday soon I'll have the chance to thank him face to face

We will join the millions, every kindred tongue and race
Every child of God that day will look upon his face
With the heroes and the martyrs who died on that pagan sword
We'll all stand together and declare Jesus is Lord
