Hi,

I need some real prayers for sexual abuse, I have never sexually abused myself before. But find myself trapped by it these days. I have prayed and prayed about it, but nothing and I am trying my best to stop it, but something over powers me. I have to come clean and say I have watched porn before and I feel disgusted about it and I have asked the Lord to deliver me from this past sin.
Please help me I am desperate to be free from this. I haven,t even thought of sex or anything like this for almost 20 years now all the sudden, it feels like an attack of some sort. But I don't know what to pray about.
Any prayers or help would be most appreciated. I am having homo sexual thoughts, when I have never been gay. i was married for 16 years and all my partners have been women. I just don't understand whats happening to me.

When you find yourself drowning (in this case, sexual sins), stop trying to swim your way out of it under your own strength. We are so used to doing something on our own, we find it hard to let go and let the Lord take over. It must begin in having faith that the Lord can help you overcome any sin... ANY sin. Then the next step is not letting your mind dwell on things that are garbage, because if you let garbage in, garbage comes out.... we are what we eat. Use the FULL armor of God to keep out the slings and arrows of the evil desires that plague us. When such evil thoughts come upon you... the MOMENT they come upon you... begin filling your mind with prayers of help to the Lord about resistance... then speak your favorite verses over and over... keep some flash cards on you with the verses written down, and say them over and over, without end until the desire passes. If it comes back start over the process. It WILL work... have faith brother.

Dear Kevin, porn whether seen past or present can lead to all the sexual thoughts/sins that you mentioned, because porn carries with it loads of different sexual demonic spirits. And with some persons, even though these spirits may lie dormant for a while after you have done watching the porn, with all of the persons that I have counselled and helped in this situation, most had the same delayed demonic spiritual reactions.

Don't run from God, run to him. The devil wants to use guilt and condemnation to keep you away from God so that he can drag you further into the darkness. The devil knows that if you stick with Jesus, victory is guaranteed. Stay in prayer and in the Word everyday (that includes listening to it being taught). God knows that you can't stop sinning on your own. That's why He gave you Jesus. He isn't mad at you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. You and God are in this fight together, so regardless of how it looks right now, the devil doesn't stand a chance. Jesus still loves you, and has a great plan for your life. Why else do you think the enemy is fighting you so hard? Remember Psalm 34:19, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all." You haven't thought about sex or anything related to it for almost 20 years and now it seems its back and trying to take over...that my friend and brother is our enemy satan. he can use what hewants it could be something as simple as a online game you are playing, maybe a comic you are reading or a just a picture...he will use what he can to get to our minds and bring back those thingswhich with Jesus we work to put behind us . Remember though that though the temptation seems big Jesus is there and providing you a way out of that temptation. Lust is to me a demon and when I pray because yes I too have and at times still do struggle I pray that Jesus take that demon of lust away and send it back where it belongs because it has no place in my life or around me anymore. Renewing our minds each day is also important and we do this by reading the Word of God, by worshipping Him and keeping our thoughts of Jesus and those things that are of him.

You are loved by Jesus and saved by His blood and satan has no place there anymore, so when you pray say something like " In the name of Jesus you are not welcome here satan be gone and take your demons with you and in the name of Jesus go back to where you belong. satan wants to steal your joy but you have something way more powerful than he is you have the blood of Jesus covering you andit is by and through Him you are victorious. The joy of the Lord is your strength. One of the most important things you can do is block any and all ways of having access to porn because if you do this there is no way you can give in to the temptation. I will be praying for you and lifting you to Jesus knowing that He will deliver you and that you are more than victorious through our Lord and Savior. Praise His name now and always.
