This guy, Jimmie, who will be 72 years old this week, is crippled and in a wheelchair. He walks his dog around the apartment complex on nice days, and one day I saw him and knew I had to talk to him. He's been on my mind lately, Jesus has been telling me that I need to minister to him somehow. Today I saw him again and was very happy because I was being given a chance to do His will! He mentioned his sister is "religious" and that sparked it. I told him I'm Christian, and he said his sister is too. Then he started telling me that he believes in God, but doesn't go to church and do that "religious" stuff. I told him about the Pharisees and how they were so caught up in religion that they thought all of their own deeds were what made them righteous, but that true Christianity is having an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. (Going to church is part of that relationship, for me at least, but I didn't tell him that). Right after I told him that he told me he was gay. That was the last thing I expected him to say. I tried not to act disappointed but it could have shown through my eyes, I don't know. It was just so hard to hear him say that after him talking about being married in the past and believing in God. I still haven't asked him if he believes in Jesus Christ yet, but that will come for sure. The rest of the night I went to the park to be alone with Jesus. I prayed and prayed for Jimmie to repent from his sexual impurity. It saddens me to see him say he believes in God yet he willingly made the choice to be gay, which is horrible in God's eyes and rightly so. So for him to repent is to move a mountain, which Jesus says we can do! So PRAY!! Thursday night is his birthday get together with his sister and a couple of friends, I'll have Jesus right beside me because all I want for Jimmie is his salvation.
