Please Pray for my son

My son Brandon, now 28 years old, has once again returned to the drug world. He has been clean and sober for almost 4 years.

We are not sure what happened, however my ex-husband and I discovered he is on crack cocaine. A very highly addictive drug. He no longer works, he is living a lie, total denial to our entire family.

I am praying to the Lord Jesus to enter his heart and make him aware of what he is doing to himself. Praying Jesus will take over his heart, mind and soul and wake him to reality.

Where there is life, there is hope. And in this situation as a mother, I am very concerned. However, I must "let go and let God." Only through the Lord will he come to realize he is hurting himself.

So I ask my fellow Christians, please pray for Brandon, that the Lord will heal him of this disease of addiction.

Thank you and Blessings to all

liveforjesus60,it may seem like a really bad situation to our understanding however a more horrible situation is someone going through life believing they are good and don't need mercy.
The drug seeker is actually seeking God in the only way that they can tangibly understand good.Remember it is the goodness of God that leads to repentance.
He that began a good work in Brandon is faithful to complete it.

Proverbs 21:30 There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.
Thank you Father that no thing, person or plan can succeed in Brandon's life except that plan that you initiated in him.

Proverbs 21:1 The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.
Thank you Father for guiding Brandon's heart into truth.

Proverbs 16:9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.
Thank you Father for guiding his every step.

Proverbs 20:24 A man’s steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?

We are told to overcome evil with good, the question is how would that look in this situation?

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

I pray the the Lord grant you the joy and perfect peace to answer every challenge.I ask that you be given wisdom and understanding and perfect timing.

John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

I ask all things things in Jesus name.Amen

Father Lord,

Please remove his adiction habit from this son. Let he be free from it, Amen

Lord Jesus,
We lift Brandon up to you now and ask that you deliver this your child from the hand of addiction and from the lies which the enemy has used to bind him to this addiction. We ask for your mercy, love and healing hand upon him Lord...protect him in all the ways that he needs...in psalms it says "You are my shepard and we shall not want" You are The Good Shepard and you take care of your sheep and you tend to the wounded...tend to this your lost sheep and heal his wounds...You annoint our heads with oil so now annoint this your son brandon with the oil of your love and be with him. Be with his family and mom and help to know that you are in control and are right there with brandon and that you will bring him through this hard time. Give them peace as only you can give Lord and surround and fill them with your comfort and strength.

I lift up this petition to you now asking not for our will but that your will be done. In your name I pray Amen and Amen

Lord Jesus, if our mothers or fathers stayed silent with no voice at all, we - their sons or daughters - would feel their full hardness of their hearts, their ''you're nothing to me'' attitudes, and such a nightmare world of voiceless parents would create so much painful loneliness and an evilness that can only come from Satan's dark underworld. May your holy spirit from the Word Of God breathe new fresh life into his heart and to awaken the memories of his smiling mother or father during his years of growing up in the safety of the parent's home. May Christ's joy and peace give him miraculous healing and change where your pure Christian righteousness will replace the sinful deceptions of Satan who uses drugs or alcohol to create this false artificial comfort of peace that is chemically harmful to the brain and body organs.:*:.

Live,

I cannot even begin to imagine what it is that you are going through as a mother, the pain that must be in your heart. I have had some pain with my daughter and know that just because that pain is there in our heart, it doesn't mean we lack faith.

God wants us to be honest about what's there not try to pretent it is not there (which i was doing to try and be strong). When i let out the pain of it all i allowed Christ to be right in the middle of where i was at, all the mess and hurt i was feeling; it made me stronger with him.

That's all i wanted to say really, is that i shall pray for you and your son, also that you can be strong and have great pain both at the same time, it's not an either or so don't ever feel bad about saying what is in your heart, God knows it already.

Father God,
You know the complexities of this young man's heart. What motivated him to stay clean for four years (it's an amazing feat to do that) and what has made him return to this life that i feel confident he will abhor deep down.

If he got clean once, he can do that again so i pray that you would lead him beside still waters so that he can think, even for one second, and that you will guide him in the way of salvation. Father God, in Jesus' name, you can do all things.

Amen

Blessing to you Live.Just a thought for you to hold on to here. What many do not seem to understand,is that everyone of us at one time or another has been a Prodigal Son or daughter. The story is found in Luke 15:11-32 It is not the story, that sometimes is so important, but how the story came to be that is.

Some have worked very hard for what they believe they have, notice I said believe they have. Having means to most never losing,or always having. But those things we decide on often depends on what we keep as well. We often take things for granted in our lives, and then like a thief in the night, all that we have believed we would always have, goes away.

This does not only include things, but hope, faith, and even our self. But there is something you can always think upon, and know.God does see and God does care! Some of us,like myself had to learn the hard way about these things as well as people we also can take for granted.

Such as a parent or close friend we once believed we had. Verse13 Now the son went on a distant journey even!! unto a distant country! Talk about really wanting to run from things! There the scripture tell us he squandered his estate with loose living.Meaning to me he spent, without counting the cost of that spending!

What was to replace what he spent? This never seems to dawn on us until after we lose most everything. THEN!! We cry, then we say oh How could this ever have happened to me?? So now the man sells himself out to others,he does this because he just cannot go back home in shame!

So he looks for another way out of this, that he himself created.verse 15.Then staving almost,he thinks, hey!! Verse 17 I will go to my own father, his hired hands live better then I am,I will just work for him! I will say unto him, how sorry I am,I know I am no longer worthy to be called his son! BUT!!

Perhaps he will make me a hired hand.verse 18-19 And now a great surprise!! Like Jesus waiting for us,so the father sees him from a far off! verse 20 What does the Father do?? Does he complain at him? Does he tell him how sorry the son was for what he did??Enter Psalms 103:8-17) This is Jesus in the father! Can this be you to?

There was no reminder of the sons sins he committed, there was no recall of what the child did! There was only a father love for his child. Many have read this story, but many do not understand fully the true meaning of why he left, and the result when he came back!

The Son repented verse21 verse 22 the father said to his slaves!! not his son, QUICKLY!!!! bring out the best robe!! and put it on him! and put a ring on his hand and sandals for his feet, and and bring in the fattened calf, kill it and let us celebrate!! Let US!!!( Luke 15:4-10!!!!!!!!) This lesson we all must learn to grow in our Lord Jesus! For even as the son learned so did the father of the son! So must we!

How painful it was for me to go back home, and not be welcomed like that, but only be reminded of the sorrow and embarrassment I caused my own family! I was very fortunate!! God prepared me for 2 years before I went back home! But many are not so fortunate!

Many go back hoping, but that hope is turned to sorrow, because they who have said they hold on to Jesus, only only hold to Jesus as long as they wish to. Counting not the cost of service. Not thinking about anyone but themselves. I am sure this is not the case with you!!

But it sure is a good reminder to all of us to understand what compassion truly is,and how to show it,and better yet, why we keep it! We show it,because we always have such need of it.And we give it,because we ourselves depend upon it! ( john 8:7!!) A whole family can come closer to the Lord!!! When we are willing to learn.

May this thought encourage you,may it lead to a most happy reunion with your son,who was once lost, but one day will be found! FOUND!!!! BY JESUS!!!! IN YOU!!! blessing all!

Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.
1 Peter 5:7

I agree sister,he who began a good work in Brandon is faithful to complete it.Your faith is holding him always before the throne of grace.
If we are going to judge him by the word I would have to Judge him holy according to 1Cor 7:14.

Acts 16:31 They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."

Acts 11:14
He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.'

1 Corinthians 7:14
For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.

I stand in faith with you and the body of Christ.
Godspeed
