People hurting people

I'm a firm believer in Jesus Christ and don't understand when someone who claims they are born again and Jesus Christ is their personal Lord and Savior deliberately hurts people. This just makes no sense to me...I need prayers for God to help understand this one...Yesterday was my 52th birthday and it was pretty depressing knowing that my closest loved ones didn't even call me...I know following Jesus is or can be a tough road but I still would not and will not give him up!

All people are selfish in the beginning of their natural time. This selfishness has for its purpose self-preservation in an infant or young child, but as a child grows naturally, he learns motives for doing things, which have little or nothing to do with self-preservation. When we begin to walk with God, we are growing away (or should be) from selfishness to a selfless way that is the Love, which is God. Unbeliever usually become less selfish as they mature physically, but a follower of the Lord, should be learning through the lead of the Holy Ghost to get continuously deeper into the two greatest commandments:
"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." Matt 22:37-39

We must love people, even if they continuously neglect us or even abuse us.

I am praying for you now.

something came to mind when I read this. Matthew 5:44 "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;". I know it's easier said than done, and I myself struggle with this one, too. Sometimes we have to do the next hardest thing which is let go and give it to God.

Happy Birthday from Jesus, myself, and I know I can speak for everyone else here! I've know exactly what you're talking about. When I'm hurt, it just makes me more grateful for The Gift that keeps on giving: Jesus. Don't spend too much time trying to figure people out. You just keep focusing on Jesus, and His love for you. That's the answer for everything, and it sounds like you know it. God bless!

Being Christian is very enjoyable when friendliness of respect is like a breath of fresh air, where you drown life's negative experiences at the back of your mind each time you socialize such as going to church on Sundays like I do. I always have this feeling to figure out what an individual is thinking and being silent most of the time in church as we listen to God's Word from the pastor's voice. Family violence, marriage breakdowns, income limitations such as relying on government pension, unemployment, uncertain career goals, financial worries, silent disease-killers such as diabetes, and so on - have a negative effect on our socializing where precious time is wasted during our spiritual war with Satan who wants us to destroy our faith in Christ by renewing our faith in his evil hurtful fruits of sin. Unfortunately, God's giftedness to know future human events including Satan's deceitful action plan to fail our faith in Jesus and to defeat Jesus in his future second coming - is like playing chess where God knows every bit of Satan's thought just seconds before he makes his next move. Victory belongs to Jesus and there is no way that Satan can make time stand still to avoid the future of Christ's second coming and his futuristic most massive community-built city: the Kingdom of God on a new Earth .:*:. Rev21:2.:*:.

I'm so sorry to hear this, no one likes being forgotten on their birthday!

Here's something that came to my mind just now, that when someone comes to Christ to be saved the angels rejoice in heaven. (Luke 15:10). I can scarecely picture the glorious scene! So keep the faith, sister, knowing that God delights in His children and is smiling at and upon them every day, even when the world forgets to send a smile our way. God bless!
