SignUp Now!RCC Has done more for Christianity than any body of believers. They are Christians as well, they have given us great teachers of the faith great interpreters and Bible translators of the Faith. Men and women. The KJV and the 1st few English translators where "taught by the RCC. And there are still Godly women and men in the RCC! The Roman Catholic Church, belongs to GOD just like all of the rest of God's Churches. And I am tried of watching people talk badly about the RCC and their church is so good. Like their doctrine is so great without error and RCC church doctrine is with error.@PloughBoy -- I just clicked into the link you shared. It happens to be a teaching of the RCC. There are a couple of Scriptures they use -- a person needs to read them in their intended context.
The RCC theology states that when praying to God -- a person is , therefore, united With God -- which, may or may Not actually be true. The 1st prayer that God Does hear, through Jesus Christ, is that of acknowledging the person's need for salvation. Accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. And That establishes a personal relationship between the person and God -- through Jesus Christ.
Parts of the RCC beliefs Are fairly true -- but Most is not based on Scripture taken in it's context. The RCC church fathers tend to add their thoughts To Scripture to supposedly make it more complete.
No, Jesus did not say today you will be with me in my kingdom! Meaning that day.@Brad Huber -- In Luke 23: 39 - 43 vs 40 - 41 -- the one thief acknowledged His need and that this Man had done nothing wrong. and asked "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom" and then was assured that that very day he would be with Him in Paradise."
When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He went to Paradise to get those who'd trusted / believed and took them back up with Him when He resurrected on that 3rd day. That one thief was one of Them. The last person To accept even while on the cross. A 'death bed' acceptance -- he still had to acknowledge his need and Jesus Christ as Lord.
Have anyone ever read the Harmony of The Gospels? No, Jesus did not say today you will be with me in my kingdom! Meaning that day.
Jesus said: Truly I say unto you TODAY, you shall be with me in Paradise!
In other words " I am saying these words TODAY! You shall be with me in Paradise!
There is a difference, a lot of non bible teachers and nominals have mess up the Gospel of Jesus Christ so bad a person with 20/20 cannot see the truth in God's Word!
Look also at the time period, when did Jesus go to heaven, and did the Bible say when he died, where did he go? And how many days was he there? Then after. 3 days How many days he walked upon the earth? And why did he say: do not touch me to the women. And what day was that? And what day did the thief on the cross die?
Your teaching is in error! And those who know the truth and stand by and say nothing are in error too!
Shame on those who knows the truth! And will not instruct her to the truth of God's Word. A little leaven destroys the whole Truth of God's Word! In this fashion!
Now I dont equate paradise to heaven, but neither do we go to the place that the rich man went to, paradise is a good place, and the thief did meet Jesus there so....@Brad Huber -- In Luke 23: 39 - 43 vs 40 - 41 -- the one thief acknowledged His need and that this Man had done nothing wrong. and asked "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom" and then was assured that that very day he would be with Him in Paradise."

I am not referring to office of The Papacy i am referring to the Christians who belong To the Roman Catholic Church! And as I am concern and many other pertaining to "pastors" in denominations are not Biblical as well! But was created by The Replace words from The Roman Catholic Church leadership instigated in the "AV" with King James in cahoots. He wanted , King James, the rule over all, The Papacy wanted to rule over "Christianity" the people. So there was a "slight of the pen"! and In time, "The Protestant" followed suit. And created "Little Popes" each Church had its "Pope" under the headings of "pastors", Bishops, and so forth instead of ruling "Elders"! So in essence The Great ***** of Revelation is The Roman Catholic Church and Her off springs, her little children, are not all the Little churches we have are imitating Their daddy, The Pope,@ PloughBoy -- Re: the RCC -- their Papacy is Not Biblical -- their praying to / through Mary is Not Biblical. There is one and only one mediator between man and God and that is the man Christ Jesus. There are no popes in Scripture. There is no Biblical foundations for Purgatory. There is no Biblical basis for the Vatican. So -- since we are to stay within the confines of Scripture -- lets do so. Baptism by immersion / no justification for infant sprinkling . An infant is not capable of making any personal decision to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. And that is the prerequisite For baptism by immersion.
this is a excellent perspective I have not herd before, thank you for sharing
I do wonder about a few things, and can only speculate, but Paradise may have well been in Abrahams bosom not actually heaven, and AB may very well been in the center of the earth and there spirits had to go someplace when they died.
I will not address this no more. with the unlearned.@ PloughBoy -- the Papacy Is part Of the RCC. The two cannot be separated. And, yes, there Are people who are part of the RCC and they Do accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Some choose to stay in the Church because of family and lots leave -- there are a lot who gravitate to the Baptist church.
There is a lot of history in the development Of the RCC. I'm not going to discuss that with you. But it is Also fact that as more and more people within the RCC were able to learn to read and were reading God's Word for themselves, they were seeing problems within the Church. The church was developing their Own ideas -- that were Not Scriptural. There were various men who Tried to reform the Church from within, but the heirarchy did Not like that. I'm thinking it was Martin Luthers' 99 Theisis that was published. The Protestant Reformation began. Godly men from within the RCC who were Protesting that which the church was teaching. From this came the Lutheran Church, the Presbyterian, Methodist and much later the Baptists developed.
John 14:6 -- Jesus Christ is telling us that "I am the Way , the truth and the Life, no man comes to the Father, but by Me." the Me is Jesus Christ.
If you are not a "Greek Major" and Cannot read The Greek Manuscript or understand the Greek Syntax , for studying the Original Text. Stop acting like you underesatnd "Greek words" and the Greek Grammer! Just because you can spell a "transliterated " word does not mean you understand the foreign word in the syntax it is written! The internet has created I think a bunch of "Dime Store Cowboys"! But if you have taken college or Accredit Seminary "Koine Greek" and have become familiar with the language. I welcome your input with opening arms and itching ears! if not, keep that dime store cowboy stuff to yourself and move over and let someone else, who have labor in the sciences of Biblical Koine Greek, That The "Saints of GOD" maybe edified with Unadulterated Truth that We may Grow in Christ our LORD!~ Because that dime store Cowboy stuff will only grow WEEDS that will only Multiply! And Hurt The Body Of Christ" by feeding us "Leaven" that has been put into "The Meal".• Acts 2:31a . . his soul was not left in hell
The Greek word for "hell" in that verse is haides (hah'-dace) which essentially
means unseen. It refers to an afterlife situation irrespective of one's goodness or
badness and regardless of age, race, religion, or gender.
Classical haides is divided into sections where the souls of the dead are assigned in
accordance with the quality of their pre-death existence. The worst section is a
deep abyss called Tartarus; which is utilized in the New Testament at 2Pet 2:4.
According to Luke 23:39-43, Jesus' soul vacationed in the better section of haides.
"One of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed: So you're the Messiah, are you?
Prove it by saving yourself-- and us, too, while you're at it!
. . . But the other criminal protested: Don't you fear God even when you are dying?
We deserve to die for our evil deeds, but this man hasn't done anything wrong.
Then he said: Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.
. . . And Jesus replied, "I assure you; today you will be with me in paradise."
UPDATE: 54 days have elapsed since my first comment. If the figures in post No.5
are in the ball park, then something like 3,354,696 new arrivals have checked into
the fiery sector of Hades since Oct 08, 2020.

It is not how i feel. it is how it is. Who want wooden nickels in times like these? Can you imagine the terror on peoples faces, when they find out Hell is real and the Lake of Fire is too! And more terrifying when some thought they were going to heaven because they have been good all their life. And they see the Thief in Paradise! At this point they want to die and can't!!@PloughBoy -- WoW -- why don't you tell us how you Really feel.
