The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn and A Devine Revelation of Hell by Mary Baxter, I think her name is. Very Food and hard to put down. Mary Baxter also wrote a Devine Revelation of Heaven, however I didn't not feel the same annointing upon it as the one about hell.

I just read a critique on Mary Baxter..Quite a scathing one, I do say. It's by Kevin Williams. He's a researcher into NDEs Near death experiences...
I found the critique to be full of errors..LOL First...What would a Christian Universalist know about the Word when he is not willing to accept it as it is written? He accused her of obfuscating Word and her own words too. Of plagiarizing the bible, pretty hard to do when sharing what it says. He accused her of misquoting the bible in a few places but you know as well as I do, that wording depends a lot on which version of the bible you are using.. eg. To resist, to stand against, to withstand, all mean the same thing. I have not read the book. Keep that in mind but I read the critique and checked many of the criticisms. I found several bogus claims on the part of the critic.
I must say however....I do not understand why anyone would even want to read a book on hell when they can get into the Word and experience heaven. Study the real thing! Then you will know the counterfeit when you see it. If it's not Word, leave it alone.

You should read it, I believe you would be surprised; don't judge a book by it's cover, not a person by their looks.

BEST: "Return to Grace: Restoring Those That Fall Away"
This is an outstanding Christian resource that covers the issue of backsliding from a biblical perspective, clarifies many misconceptions about the issue, educates the Body as to how to combat it, and equips believers to be obedient to the calling set forth in LUKE 15 by Jesus Himself,(Who was and is the First and Best Restoration minister to the backslidden ever!) It has the author's full testimony, an entire Return to Grace ministry outline, Three key core study modules with homework, several peripheral studies on things like faith, spiritual growth, judgment, living generously, etc. It does have a fairly basic cover design, and a few elements where the first-time author-ship is noticeable, but it is a highly pertinent and relevant resource. Quite cheap on kdp as an e book; print a bit more hefty. I highly recommend any who have concerns or questions about backsliding or how to combat it; to check it out.
PS: It even has a companion resource that is leadership guide to implementing the ministry in each church setting.

Wow! This book 'The Shack' is very divisive among Christians....I cannot imagine how a Christian can read this book or watch the movie and not see how it contravenes scripture. It is a really blasphemous work of lies. Please! Have NOTHING to do with it.

The Shack and Eve by William p Young are odd books and I just don't know why people are taken in by them that should know scripture but they are.
To me, as coming out of new age, knowing what they are about - they are new age to the core. By no stretch of the imagination can the Shack be called a christian book. I would put it squarely in the new age section along with 'the celestine prophecy' and anything by Doreen Virtue.
I think though that some people just want their ears tickled or they are kind of lukewarm. But I always think well isn't the Bible enough and why would you be in raptures over a book that contradicts it?
Anyway I was talking to a friend who watched case for christ and his wife was asked to go see the shack with another church lady...I warned her against it saying it's not that great and I know she's a strong believer full of faith that she wouldn't be taken in and her husband said yea she didn't think much of it.
However the one that asked her to the movie I'm actually concerned she's not strong in the Lord as I thought she was. She's an elder!
Another concern is, she would rather have FICTION and entertainment in the church library than real edifying books. I mean there is a place for it but we don't have the budget to go and cater to wishy washy fiction books marketed to christians she could just find at the public library.
But then I suppose not everyone is discerning about what they read.

Frank Peretti's This Present Darkness/Piercing the Darkness.. Awesome and weird at the same time.
They kinda remind me of Elisha's prayer in 2 Kings chapter 6

well, spoke with the lady today about her Shack movie experience. She says she's aware of the liberties it takes with theology but she liked it regardless.
I just said Ok.

I suppose you can still enjoy something as a warm fuzzy movie even if it's not christian..She said if you get past that, so..maybe I'm just not the type of person who can get past that. I sort of need to have movies, or books, if they are christian, to be 100% christian if you know what I mean.

Sounds interesting. Sure..I'd like to read it. Breakfast is the only food Dennys does well.
My story is very imaginative too. Could curl your hair for you. I suppose it would fit into the Sci-fi Fantasy section but it's all based on the real thing. Real creatures, real situations, .... scary stuff if you don't know about that kind of thing.
