Job 7:5-6 King James Version (KJV)
5 My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust; my skin is broken, and become loathsome.
6 My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle, and are spent without hope.
Job 7:5-6 Lexham English Bible (LEB)
5 My body is clothed withmaggots and clods of dust;
my skin hardens, thenit gives way again.
6 “My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle,
and they come to an endwithout hope.

These maggots were eating his dead skin. To have maggots in your skin would have something would cause worry and make you wonder when you are going to die.
6 This is a sowing tool. He felt no hope and that his days would soon be over.
