Job 7:5-6 King James Version (KJV)
5 My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust; my skin is broken, and become loathsome.

6 My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle, and are spent without hope.

Job 7:5-6 Lexham English Bible (LEB)

5 My body is clothed withmaggots and clods of dust;
my skin hardens, thenit gives way again.
6 “My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle,
and they come to an endwithout hope.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

5 This was a sign of his skin rotting and dying. Job was dying from the inside out, his skin was going through sickness that made him feel bad everywhere else. These maggots were eating his dead skin. To have maggots in your skin would have something would cause worry and make you wonder when you are going to die.

6 This is a sowing tool. He felt no hope and that his days would soon be over.

Yes, indeed, the body of flesh every man is dying, but if a new man has been born that new man need never die. This is the gift that God has for men if they will accept it and properly nourish it.
