Is Jesus "God"?

  • Genesis 1:26 :Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
  • With all respect, tghslh has got it right and, he is asking who is "us"? Us is the Trinity, I am not sure what Bible you are looking at?
  • us / our means plural, more than one!
Ah, RJ. It is a typo or I have misunderstood it and I think the latter to be true, if there was a coma after the word "who". The sentence would have been more clearer or maybe I have missed the coma but I don't seeone. God Bless :)

I read the KJV NIV and I also have the geneva bible and a few other's. Anyway, You said " Let us make man who is us". That's wrong and I wasn't inferring anything about the Trinity. "Let us make man whois us". Is far different than "Let us make man in our own image." Man is not God as ,your comment clearly states. Image is a representative not representation. Mirror image when you look in the mirror, is only an image of you but is not you. Maybe it's you that's reading the wrong bible.
I am begining to get a bit confused.....where does it say or who said: "Let's make man who is us"?

Amen @SpiritLedEd

Matthew‬ 28‬:18-20‬

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
