Do I believe God is in control of everything? I believe God is in control of everything that we place into his hands by our faith to control!!! If we just say God is in control of everything without by faith giving him access to this earth by our faith, then no he is not!!
The Lord God has always needed a man to believe in what he tells him, so that mans faith would give God
"access" into the earth to perform what God said to him he would do.
I believe Noe, because of his faith in believing what God had told him, by bringing a flood upon the earth gave God access to the earth to perform it. If it was not for Noe's faith I do not believe God could have brought the flood upon the earth. Because Noes was expecting this flood to come. God did not condemn that world, it was Noe who condemned it because of his faith.
Heb 11:7 BY
FAITH NOAH, BEING WARNED BY GOD concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household.
BY THIS HE CONDEMNED THE WORLD and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
In the Book of Hebrews chapter eleven we find many many people who did great exploits by God because of their faith. Only God himself could have performed these great feats of power, and amazement, but it was only because of their faith that allowed the Lord to perform them.[/QUOTE]
As some else said, God gave us (men) the dominion. Our only hope is to give it back to Him. This is the Hope for each one of us and his own little "world" of flesh (the dirt God formed). The choices are all ours. The only choice that works to do "good" is to surrender our control over ourselves to God. This was not possible until Jesus paid the price and provided the means.
Jesus says that he overcame the world [John 16:33]
which was the world of his own corruptible flesh. His sacrifice made it possible for each of us through the power of the Word and the Holy Ghost to do the same. This we can do, if we are able to admit that we alone cannot overcome this world, but that God has through Jesus provided Way for us to do now...
Jesus did not overcome planet earth or all of the evil in planet earth and all of its inhabitants. All we have to do is look around us to know that. When and IF we overcome as He overcame then we will be like Him [I John 3:2]. The promises made to overcomers in Rev chapter 2 and 3 are very real, but we must do our part to obtain them.
