As an aside to this aside convo...an update:

Our estranged daughter actually called home on Christmas morning, tells us she loves us and wants to see us this week! It's been a dreadfully long 2 1/2 years!

God is always working behind what we see in the natural!

I praise my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ for His tender love and care and His wonderful watch over His estranged children! He has reminded me several times over this painful ordeal how He loves my daughters more than I do! He has just proven it to me!

Perhaps I can identify with you the most of all. My daughter is 38 and has fibro and sillyact (celac) disease. Although she can actsilly on her own, LOL.
I have just admitted that my complex developmental PTSD has been my nemeses since my birth (stomach) operation to much much more. You have opened this can of worms and bless you for that.
A bubble is strengthened by remembered pain, unrealistic imaginations, guilt feelings and hurt. With each bubble that burst you have to depend on the Lord to clean up the mess. And he will, just be patient You will yield to pleasure of temptation every so often. After you learn what He wants you to learn..... only then have you will be loosened and delivered from that particular sin. Sometimes I wonder why I take the high road, as I call my journey. The answer is; so I can be there for another to share.

I forgot to say something about my PTSD that might be interesting.
(1) I was all about trying to FIX myself unconsciously and in any way I could; doctors, permissiveness or any way I could. It was hard to want God to clean-up that particular sin.
(2) 2 is the number but it has to do with #1; I became depressed unless I had a conflict often. As I look back. I had to have 3 time per week. My brother would tell me back then that he thought I lived for conflict. I strongly denied it then but now I know he was right lather. He said the same thing about the way I rationalized everything... even when I knew I was wrong. He called it my moral air conditioner. He was right and I knew it but I thought it was okay because it allowed me to re-create the acts of the past that were perpetrated on me but then be in control. This did give me catharsis and my psychologist help me to do tis mainly but he said be legal and do not hurt anyone. Of course, I felt I did not hurt anyone and was always legal, I was never violent except if it came to protecting women. I had psychotherapy for 20 years. I have learned ALOT and now GOD is in FULL control. For one bubble,for an example, I would counsel etc. women on the internet or at night in person discussing borderline personality, bipolar, multiple personalities and simple anti social behavior and adjustment. Also about why some women enable domestic abuse. I quit that in 2010.
(3) THE biggest buble was simple after awhile. Unknowingly I was convinced that if IU was not happy the no one could be.

1. If you read the chapter you would see ''these truths'' are ...i. The crucifixion and resurrection (vs 2), ii Heaven (vs 9) and iii God's thoughts (vs 11).

Yes, the natural mind cannot understand how someone innocent will die for those that hate Him and is then resurrected from the dead without it being a magic trick. Yes, the natural mind cannot grasp what exactly awaits us in heaven and God's thoughts as those are gifts to His children. Ie He does not fill the mind of an unsaved person with His thoughts when the unsaved person wants nothing to do with him. This unsaved person...knows this.

2. Yes, the message of the cross.

Now you need to try understand what the natural mind can grasp....

You are right, it’s called Micro evolution; variation within a kind which is easy to observe, i.e. various dogs are suitable for hunting, husky dogs/wolves suitable for cold climates etc. Whereas Macro evolution, where on kind animal has generated new DNA to evolve into a different kind of creator i.e. from retile kind evolving into a bird kind; which has never been observed and is missing from the fossil record (and the same with other missing-links between one kind and another). Darwin's example of changes in finches doesn’t prove evolution. If you breed finches you get finches, if you breed dogs you get dogs. In fact dog breeding has bred health problems into many varieties of dogs:

The human race is full of minor to major genetic defects and it’s only getting worse. (So that’s why God banned sibling marriage after Noah’s flood, because marriage to a non-relative sometimes masks over the faulty genes). Good food and health care may help us live longer, but all our genetic mutations only produce detrimental results.
