Here's a Riddle

* With respect, B-A-C, that is not what is written.
Ephesians 5:12 to 28, concerns the relation of husbands and wives. The role of the husband is used to illustrate how Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for IT (not 'her').

* The use of figures of speech, such as the Body, The Bride, The Wife, are the prerogative of the Holy Spirit, it is not for us to use then as we choose

* The New Jerusalem is indeed called the Bride of the Lamb, and those who dwell within it comprise that company. I believe They are 'overcomers' , like Abraham, who looked for a city without hands. Those who have part in the first resurrection, spoken of in Revelation 20:5,6. Those also who sought, 'a better resurrection', in Hebrews eleven. Although my knowledge on this is weak at best. :)

* The risen and exalted Christ is the Head of the Church which is His Body.
* The Bride of the Lamb is another company entirely

Thank you.
In Christ Jesus

Oh I like this! A whole nuther subject! But so right! Wives are not subjects of a husband like a serf to a king. They ARE equals. Lets start a thread along this line.
