Hello

Huh!?

How is this mini bible study pertinent to what I wrote?

I quoted someone's use of the word "faith," and this triggered you to submit a Twilight Zone-ish bible study with no explanation as to why.....

I've recently posted a very spiritually provocative topic with no responses, but everybody seems to prefer to school me or debate the topic of "me" in my own introduction...

In fact, I've noticed the majority of posted topics on this site have had no replies.

I find no depth of wisdom or insight offered by members on this site. No real discussion, no interest in the deeper things of God, and absolutely no godly interactions on biblical topics.

I won't wait for Strike Three... This is a very unusual forum...
So glad to have you on board : )
Blessings Linda

Dear
Hello Indentured Servant,
Welcome and I fear it is also good-bye to your stay on Talk Jesus, which is a community of believers in Christ Jesus. If at times a bit dysfunctional. :(
Sadly, you have been baited, and in staying I am sure there are those who will seek to draw you into conversations that will test your metal and love of not only God's Word, but of the Lord Himself if that were possible.

I await your response to my Private Message on the closure of your account.
Fair well in your travels and what I believe would have been a calming voice, be assured you will be missed, but only for the moment. For eternity is a long long time not to run into each other in Christ Jesus. :)

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

Dear Bro Nick,
I do hope that Indentured Servant, sticks it out for a while ...
As you know I feel the same way that I S does, and was seriously considering leaving too.
We are all here to learn, and we are here for Jesus!
There are so many amazing people on this forum, who are mature, calm and loving, in Jesus.
You rightly say that I S would add value to this forum ...
Here's Hoping and Praying, Linda

Giving up before the last pitch will not reveal the mysterious outcome. The mystery of faith.

Why is faith called a mystery?

1 Timothy 3:9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

so c

so cryptic?

Yes, without parables the signified tongue of prophecy (comparing using a sign the temporal historical thing seen to reveal the unseen eternal things called faith the power of God. . . . without that cryptic understnding Christ in us. Emanuel spoke not.

Not a salvation issue more of spiritual encouragement Gospel understnding .It does not change the historical. . just makes it sweeter

Psalm 119:103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

I've been a Christian since 1987... If this forum requires debate above rational discussion and learning, I'll quietly disappear. No loss to anyone...
Hey hi Serf :) Welcome to this Christian forum. Remember the 'Ignore' feature makes no loss to anyone. Leave the rest up to Christ our Redeemer, and be blessed by His peace. I've experienced some painful reading here, but Job had it worse, and Christ Almighty has to hear our horrors and the trivial things all the time.

just want everyone to know they're not alone and they have a lifetime to choose Jesus. And we all learn things from each other that can only strengthen our relationship with our Lord and Savior. I think this way. God bless you ️

KingJ,
I feel I must put my two cents worth in here ...
"Interrogation" is not what most of us want on this Christian Forum.
I should not be a "free-for-all" slinging match that you find on ordinary internet sites.
Unfortunately this happens, and I am certianly going to try the "ignore" button, instead of reacting.
However, I see that Intendured Servant is handling things just fine : )
Respect and sensitivity go a long way though!
Best Wishes going forward, Linda

Jer 18:1-6 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 2 “Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.” 3 So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. 4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. 5 Then the word of the Lord came to me. 6 He said, “Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?” declares the Lord. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel.

According to this passage we should always be malleable and welcome critique.

------------------------

In addition to the above. My two cents on 'interrogation' of posts for the last twenty something years....

There are ravenous wolves among us and Christians who seemingly do not care whatsoever at pushing a belief or theory that terribly incriminates God, misrepresents Christianity and mocks the cross.

When these people are corrected, it usually becomes 'combative'. Readers usually see a few posts in isolation and do not follow the whole discussion.

Scripture is crystal clear that we must contend for the truth, expose and rebuke heretics.

-----------------------

As long as your belief does not incriminate God as evil, unjust and any form of wicked, mock the cross and Christianity, you will get on with me and most Christians here. ;)

From people? Or from God?

Just a thought in the context of 'interrogation' and appearance of 'meanie' Christians.

Is it not better to accept correction and examine yourself after hearing a fellow believer shout 'blue murder' at you for a belief He believes you teach and hold to that misrepresents God, the cross and true Christianity......OVER....you finding yourself before God at judgement day and having to explain why you misrepresented Him to all....

I 100000% welcome correction from anyone that can prove that a belief I hold to incriminates God. Sadly, mostly, I am confronted with aggression by people who hold to pet theories and do not care that their belief incriminates God.

If a belief incriminates God, it is false. No ifs, buts or ands. Fact. And you ought to head warnings from others unless you find yourself having to explain it to God of the universe in a one on one judgement day setting.

This is why Paul mentions 'fear and trembling' in Phil 2:12. Being alone before God, whilst being guilty of misrepresenting Him, IE false teaching, should terrify us.

I mean for crying out aloud we have Matt 18:6 straight from the mouth of Jesus.

Matt 18:6 If anyone causes one of these little ones those who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

The problem isn't whether a belief incriminates God or not.. It's whether it's scriptural or not.
There are things the Bible absolutely says God does do and doesn't do... some people think these things are unjust, unfair, ungodly, etc...

But it doesn't matter what they think... if the Bible says that is what God does (or doesn't do).
If the Bible says it.. then your opinion of what is fair or just doesn't matter.

Hi, replying to your post here - So tired of Christians not knowing what a Christian is!

Your words are meaningful. Thank you for the encouragement.

My comment about "more than two ignores" is really just my way of saying three strikes and you're out... or rather, "I'm out.", haha.

But, I'm patient and willing to observe and maybe post meaningful passages of Scripture to 'test the waters.'

No worries, I'm sure I'll enjoy contributing to the forum.
Dear I S, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your posts ... I mirror your sentiments, and know that we will all learn from each other, one way or another : )
