Hello Apple,

It's not really that unusual for those of us who are used to manifestations of the the Holy Spirit.
I've known of people who have been under the power of the Holy Spirit for day's on end. That's were the Holy Spirit completely enveloped them. When that happens God often starts putting everything that's out of order back into His divine order, so that the person becomes a fully functioning human being with no hang-up that are going to hinder Him working in and through them.

I know one lady who was under the power for seven days and has deeply effect the lives of countless thousands of people, including raising about eighty people from the dead. All this was a consequence of that seven day power encounter with the Holy Spirit.

Something that God is doing at this present time, especially among young people is to accelerate the learning process and bring them into the deeper things of the Lord, more quickly than in previous generations. I believe the reason for this is, the time is getting shorter before Jesus returns and there is still much yet to be done.

The initial filling of the Holy Spirit is known as the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. It's a complete immersion in the the person of the Holy Spirit, inside and out.

The Baptiser in the Holy Spirit is the Lord Jesus Christ. John the Baptist speaking of Jesus said, Mark 1:8 I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” And in Luke 24:49 Jesus said, “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” That is the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

If you are up for it Apple, like your new name, You could ask the Lord Jesus to baptise you in the Holy Spirit, since He the Holy Spirit is hovering over you and our Lord Jesus has paid the price for this to happen I'm sure He will oblige you.

If you would like to read a little bit more about the Baptism in the Holy Spirit first,
try reading Acts chapters one and two.

Blessings
Tony

Thank you Tony for your post and explanation.

I have read Acts chapters 1 and 2 this morning - WOW! This is amazing!

As was my experience that I had yesterday ... (and by the way, I am not crazy and I do not have a vivid imagination!) ...

Yesterday afternoon, I was sitting in my lounge. Suddenly I heard music. It was very quiet music. I listened intently. Where was the music coming from? What was it? Now the house next door was EMPTY, for certain, so the music wasn't coming from there and in anycase, my neighbour isn't noisy, but if I do hear music, it is music from the 60's and not this type of music.

This music was very quiet, but like organ music.

Where was this music coming from? It was coming from the ceiling in the corner of the room. The music was so quiet that I could only hear it with my left ear, but I certainly heard it. Now as I have already said, I am not crazy and I do not have a vivd imagination!

The music lasted for about 5 minutes and then it went. I wasn't scared by this at all, but I can't say that I was able to enjoy the experience as from a purely human point of view, I spent the whole time mystified and trying to work out what was causing this music!

It was only later that I remembered what you had written in an earlier post:

" One thing is for sure it would not be unusual to have both the angelic and the Holy Spirit with you in your room."

The Holy Spirit has been on me for the past 36 hours and what about the music?

Well, my only explanation is that the music was coming from angels. If that is the case, and I can honestly say that I have no other explanation, then I feel TOTALLY HONOURED, but a little upset that I had spent most of the time trying to work out where the music was coming from rather than just enjoying it!!!!!!!!!

That is awesome apple I wanted to call you angel then.

It is all a learning curve, so if you experience something similar again you can relax and enjoy it. Sometimes we try and figure out too much ourselves with our active minds. We need to learn to trust God and let Him have His way. I am sure many of us make the same mistakes too.

We will never understand everything with our minds as God's ways and thoughts are higher than ours.

We cannot contain enough to know too much. Our minds would explode.

Keep on reading His Holy Word which is so alive. You are doing so well sister. It is a pleasure reading your posts here.

See how special you are to GOD.

God bless you richly

Hi Apple,

Hearing an angelic host is quite a common event in some Christian circles, I've personally heard angels sing on a number of occasions. Usually in a worship meeting where an angelic host joined in with the congregation in worshiping God.
It can be a totally awesome experience, there can be tremendous creative power released in angelic songs and music. It is often a prelude to something amazing happening.

I know of several cases where individuals heard Angels. One was a Christian man who thought classical music was wonderful and spent an excessive amount of time listening to it. Then one time God opened his ears to hear the music in heaven. When he heard the comparison classical music lost it's hold on him.

The other event, which was quite recent, was of a pastor in Africa who was badly hurt in a road traffic accident. He died of his injuries, his body was injected with a preservative and put in a morgue. God had told the pastors wife she could have her husband back from the dead, which quickened her faith.
The doctor came to the pastors wife complaining about manifestations that were coming from the pastors body. He said he had heard, coral music and clapping.
He was quite disturbed by this and wanted the body moved out of his morgue.
The pastors wife arranged for his body to be taken to a Rinehart Bonke evangelical
conference. For heath and safety reasons they were not allowed to bring a dead body in to the conference, but they brought it into basement of the conference center I think. Anyway the man was raised from the dead, there's a video record of what happened for anyone who wants to see it. Did the angels singing around the pastors body have anything to do with this? I believe they were certainly part of it.

Blessings

Thank you for your reassurance that this "is quite a common event in some Christian circles".

Your accounts of other angel experiences are absolutely mind-blowing!!!

WOW! WOW! WOW!

Unfortunately, my experience was totally spoilt by me because I was more concerned about whether or not my neighbour had burglars who were making this noise rather than thinking 'WOW! This is angelic music!' - LoL

Still, I will know for next time!!!!!!!!!!!

Apple, I like your new name. Glad you changed it. God's blessings to you on this brand new day the Lord has made. I do hope you are feeling better, healthwise, and you definitely seem so much more hopeful and happier about things. It's wonderful to see.

Hi Apple,

Just a quick note to say it's really inspiring and encouraging to see you doing so well now, and has been like a breath of fresh air for me answering your questions about such positive things.

Yesterday was not such a good day for me, but the amazing thing is that the Holy Spirit is still on me.

The Holy Spirit is still on my head. Sometimes the Holy Spirit just rests on my head and sometimes, it feels as though the Holy Spirit is like honey poured on the top of my head and then slowly sliding down the sides of my head.

If this is a 'normal' sensation, then I am pleased about it, but for me, with my limited understanding, it is an unusual sensation!!!!!!!

Wow that is awesome dear apple.

The honey reminds me of a verse in the Bible but I will need to find it.

Here is a good one.

Proverbs 24
13-14 Eat honey, dear child—it's good for you—
and delicacies that melt in your mouth.
Likewise knowledge,
and wisdom for your soul—
Get that and your future's secured,
your hope is on solid rock.

I am going to have a good experience tomorrow as we are on a course which for us tomorrow is about the Holy Spirit.

It could just be that God is pouring His healing over you too.

There are a lot of scriptures with milk and honey in.

There is a song and the chorus is:

Your name is like honey on my lips
Your spirit like water to my soul
Your Word is a lamp unto my feet
Jesus I love you I love you.

God bless

Love in Christ  :rainbow: :rose:

No so unusual, but not that common either.

Hi Apple,

I've known of people who have had this experience of something like oil or honey pouring down their body. It is often associated with physical healing, and with the Holy Spirit. (Anointed with the Holy Spirit, olive oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit)

James 5:14-15 says, Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

The fact that the Holy Spirit is upon you and the oil is already flowing negates the need for the anointing with oil. So that only leaves us with the prayer of faith. It's the prayer of faith that will save the sick and quite literally anyone who believes can pray that prayer, so that may well negate the need for elders.

So how do you get faith for healing?

Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

So you get faith for divine healing through hearing what the Bible, the word of God says to you concerning divine healing.

So here are three of the main scriptures in the Bible concerning divine healing.

Isaiah 53:4-5 is part of a prophecy concerning the Christ, Jesus bearing away in his own body all the sin, sicknesses and infirmities of mankind.

Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

The word grief in Isaiah 53:4 is from a Hebrew root that means to be weak, afflicted or infirm. The word translated as sorrows, means to be in pain due to a physical or emotional illness. Matthew the author of Matthew's gospel being a Jew and knowing something of the subtleties of the Hebrew language translates this part of Isaiah 53:4 as; Matt 8:17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
“ He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”

Then in 1 Peter 2:24 We have part of the apostle Peter's exposition of Isaiah 53-4-5 '...who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree...' '... by who's stripes you were healed.'

The secret to receiving your healing is to believe you have received it according to the Word of God despite the symptoms in your body and when you do, God is honour bound to produce in your body what you believe in your heart through faith.

Mark 11:22-24 says, So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For truly, truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

It might be difficult to begin with, but it does get easer with practice, and the Holy Spirit is just waiting for that word of faith so He can move on it and perform what you believe. Once you believe something it's good to give thanks for it, then your thanks is like a key that opens a door into the healing becoming real in your body.

Blessings,
Tony

This seems to me to come back to the idea of positive thinking which, I'll be honest with you and say, does concern me.

Earlier today I was told that:

"Yes, renewing your mind, is kind of like positive thinking but basing it on the word of God."

(This is from the 'Seriously ill' thread).

Now, if I have understood you correctly, you are saying that if I speak the words from the Bible concerning healing and I believe that the healing has already taken place, by the fact that I have said these words, then I will be healed.

Sounds great, fantastic, super, brill etc but ...

That also sounds like the common view of positive thinking to me.

Ummmmmmm!!!!!!!

How is what you are suggesting and positive thinking different?

God is a positive God so logically his thoughts are going to be positive. But it is not thoughts alone that produce the results that God requires. It is actions based on faith. At its most basic level this would involve hearing a word from God, believeing it with your heart and speaking it out of your mouth; that would be faith in action.

The human mind is not part of the spiritual realm and as a consequence it has no spiritual power and no spiritual authority. It is limited to the natural physical realm. That is why the positive thinkers of this world are limited to the constraints of the natural physical realm.

Faith however see Ephesians 2:8-9 is not of the natural physical realm it is of God, its part of the spiritual realm, it is an impartation of God's faith into a believers spirit. But for faith to be fully functional it has to bring the natural physical realm under the dominion of the spiritual realm. The main reason for this is the natural human mind has learned to think and act in way that is contrary to the ways of God.
So in order to live a supernatural life the mind has to be brought into harmony with the spirit.
This is a process, the apostle Paul used to admonish the early Christians to renew their minds with the words God had spoken to them, that way there would be harmony between the mind of the believer and the spirit of the believer.

See Romans 12;1-2, Ephesians 4:23, Philippians 1:27

In the measure that harmony exists between these two realms, in that same measure will there be a manifestation of the supernatural life of God in the believers life.

The supernatural life of the Holy Spirit hovers over a believers life waiting for the word of faith, so He can move upon it and bring into being what the believer desires and speaks forth in faith.

There have been many great miracles in these last days, including creative miracles, new eyes, in place of glass or plastic eyes, new teeth, I know of one lady who has a new leg it was amputated from just below the knee after a traffic accident. She now has a new leg down to her ankle, she is now beliving God for a new foot. There have been people raised from the dead sometimes after several days. And there are many more signs and wonders besides healings.

It would be totally impossible to produce miracles through positive thinking alone. Man simply does not have that capacity in his natural self.

It has to be God's positive thoughts spoken out in words of faith and then enacted upon by the Holy Spirit for it to work.

That's the general dynamics of how faith works, the key is hearing from God; it has to be a specific word concerning you and your condition.

There are however exceptions to the rule. I know of one man who was at a meeting where the sick were being healed through words of knowledge. God gave a word describing the condition of the sick person via the preacher, as the sick person responded God healed them.
This man was an atheist and he thought it was all a put up job. Everytime someone responded to a word of knowledge from the Lord and was healed. He fell about the place laughing, thinking how could people be so gullible? This man had a growth under his armpit that was quite large. The Lord gave out a word of knowledge concerning his condition and then declared that he was being healed right there and then. He got the surprise of his life when God healed him of both the sickness and his atheism.

That is know as a sovereign move of God, it required no faith on behalf of the ex-atheist to be healed.

I hope that clears a few things up for you, positive thinking in the natural realm is very limited. But positive thinking is not necessarily wrong, it just depends on who is behind the positive thoughts, whether it is Almighty God or puny man.

Blessings,
Tony

Wow! - Thank you for the time and effort that you put into writing this post. I really appreciate it.

Jump for joy because I think that I am getting this idea now!!!!!!! Your post certainly helped me to make sense of it all.

Thanks!

I just thought that I should post an update.

The Holy Spirit is still on me. It has now been 10 days and although the sensation fluctuates in its intensity, it seems to be there especially when I focus on God, prayer, reading my Bible etc.

If this is God with me - then I like it!

WOW!

Wow, I meant to ask you earlier in the chatroom if you still had the Holy Spirit's presence on you. God is certainly with you sister. I am glad to know you are growing so well in the Lord. Keep on keeping on.

Thank you for the update too.

I am so happy for you.

God bless

I'm worried that God's presence, that is still on me, will leave before my healing takes place. This is causing me great anxiety.

I believe 100% that God can heal me, but I suppose that I want to see some evidence before I believe that he has healed me.

From what I know of the healing miracles that Jesus did in the Bible, the people involved only believed that a healing had taken place, when they had the evidence, ie they could see or they could walk etc.

Any advice?

You need to read a thread that was posted by Tony B today. You believe you have received your healing before you see it manifested.

Here is the link for you. http://www.talkjesus.com/church-sermons/13361-healing-ministry.html

Also Jesus says Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

God bless
