Christ in the Bible Part 2

.Dear Brother Bear:

The prophet Isaiah said this about Jesus in Isaiah 6 that I am sure you are familiar with. "In the year King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple. Hovering around him were mighty seraphim. … In a great chorus they sing, 'Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty." Then the apostle John said that this was Jesus Isaiah was taking about as God when he said this about Isaiah's vision in John 12:41: "Isaiah was referring to Jesus when he said this, because he saw the future and spoke of Christ's Glory."

Clearly then the Lord Almighty and Jesus are one and the same person. See, the Bible is not written like other books. In the Bible the truth is given to us a little here and a little there. And this is what we see taking place in the above mentioned scriptures. As proof of this the prophet Isaiah said this about the birth of Jesus: "For a child is born to us, and a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the everlasting Father. … Do you see what I mean!

Then, in Psalm 19:14 David said this of YHWH God. "May my spoken words and unspoken thoughts be pleasing even to you, O Lord my Rock and my Redeemer." Now I ask you, how many Rocks and Redeemers do we have? That is to say, there is only one person called God, and his name is Jesus. Or to say it like this, Jesus is our only Rock and Redeemer. And as Jesus said in John 5, the Father and the Holy Spirit are his other two names.

See, we grew up in our Christian faith under preachers who did not believe that what the Holy Scriptures said about Jesus is true. And they themselves were taught this by preachers that came before them. And we grew up believing the same thing. So we have a chain reaction of unbelieving preacher. But as you can see from these verses, it is true. Yes, Jesus is the God the holy prophets said was coming to save us from our sins. As it says in Isaiah 40: "9You who bring good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, “Your God is coming.” 10See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and he rules with a mighty arm. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. 11He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young."

I know that this is hard for us to wrap our minds around but it is what the Bible teaches!

This is why Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:2: "I preach nothing but Jesus and him crucified." And in 1 Corinthians 1:22-25 Paul said that this will be a stumbling block to us for many generations. And it is the same truth we should be preaching today.

The Psalms are songs that people sing, Psalm 19 is a song David song. Sometimes we have to be very careful when we read a song, just like a lot of Christians write and sing songs today. “Just food for thought” with all Thy getting get understanding. Just because something came out of David’s mouth does not mean it is truth.

Now Psalms 110:1. Is a difference matter:

A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Why, because solid “Holy Scriptures” to back it up. Plus how it is reveal in “The Original copy of the Greek text”. And Jesus is sitting on the right hand of the Father making intercession for His own. He is our Savior, Saving us from The “Wrath of God” and from “The Lamb” [WORD]. For they are “ONE”.

No one on this earth “can” [has the ability] to describe the essence of “GOD” and how the Father and the Son [word] and the “Holy Spirit” is one. We use human words to try to convey a means how they exists. But the finite being, Cannot comprehend. The “infinite being”” for the finite mind cannot comprehend the incomprehensible. Neither are there any words that exists that can describe how they Exists.

If anyone has really study the true “doctrine of the Trinity” what I have just said is it’s conclusion . No one can understand the Trinity because no one can “Comprehend the incomprehensible “ who we call “GOD”. Be we can talk about His “attributes “! And all our finite minds will allow us as humans to Go.


“In the beginning He said: “Let us make man” in OUR image, after OUR likeness. In verse 26. Then in verse 27, it says: So God created man in HIS image, in the image of GOD he created him, male and female he created them.

Many Christians are not getting that. But they can talk about the “Holy Spirit” doing work in them. And they can talk about how God is Shaping them into the image of Christ. Most of these have not gotten pass Genesis. To busy hanging around in the wilderness, going around in circles, I’m Paul, I’m Apollo’s, I’m Peter, Andrew, and John the Baptist and whether or not you got dunk in the Jordan, or sprinkled in the creek. And how many languages you can speak, since you got saved. The problem is not we the people but the ones who have lead us down this path. Shalom

An answer to Br. Bear 2

Here is further proof that the God the Jews knew YHWH God in the Old Testament is the New Testament Jesus:

David said this about YHWH God in Psalm 18:30-31: "What a God he is! How perfect in every way! All his promises are true. He is a shield for everyone who hide behind him. For who is God except our Lord? Who but he is a Rock." Paul answers David's inquiry by saying this of Jesus in 1 Corinthians 10:2-4: "As followers of Moses, they were all baptized in the cloud and the sea. And all of them ate the same miraculous food, and all of them drank the same miraculous water. For they all drank from the miraculous Rock that traveled with them, and that Rock was Christ." This further proves that the God Moses knew as the "I Am" is Jesus, the God who opened the Red Sea and brought the Jews safely across.

In Psalm 25:5 David said this of YHWH God: "Lead me; teach me; for you are the God who gives salvation. I have no hope except in you." Now every little child has heard preachers say that it is Jesus who saves us. Do you see what I mean?

The prophet Hosea quoted YHWH God as saying this of himself in Hosea 13:4: "I am God, your Lord, and have been ever since I brought you out from Egypt. You have no God but me, for there is no other Savior. … " Now again, every little child knows that it is Jesus who saves us. As the angel said to Joseph before Jesus' birth in Matthew 1:21: "... for he will save his people from their sins."

I say this again, we grew up in our Christian faith believing that Jesus is a separate person from God. The preachers before us thought this and they passed it on to us. But it is not true. But now the Holy Spirit has enabled us to see the truth about Jesus so that we can preach it to those God has entrusted to our care. As it says in Luke 1:68, "Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, for he has come to visit his people and redeemed them."

Galatians 1:1 Paul, an apostle, not of men, neither by man, BUT BY JESUS CHRIST, AND GOD THE FATHER who RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD.

TELL ME AGAIN HOW JESUS IS HIS OWN FATHER, AS PAUL DOESN'T SEEM TO AGREE WITH THAT.

Hosea 13:4: "I am God, your Lord, and have been ever since I brought you out from Egypt. You have no God but me, for there is no other Savior. … " Now again, every little child knows that it is Jesus who saves us.

For God so loved the world that HE gave his only begotten Son....... And the statement of faith is one that says" we confess the Lord Jesus and we believe in our heart
that GOD HATH RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD. Romans 10:9

1 Tim 4:10 " For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, specially of those that believe.

John 17:3 " And this is life eternal that they may know THEE THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent."

I say this again, we grew up in our Christian faith believing that Jesus is a separate person from God.

But it is not true.

1 Co 1:9 "God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord." It is God that calls us unto the fellowship with Jesus."

2 Co 1:3 "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort."

Eph 1:2 "Grace be to you, and peace, from GOD OUR FATHER, and from the Lord Jesus Christ."

Philippians 1:2 "Ditto of Ephesians 1:2"

Colossians 1:2 "Ditto again of Ephesians 1:2"

2 Thessalonians 1:2 " Ditto of Ephesians 1:2"

1 Tim 1:1 " Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of GOD OUR SAVIOR, and the Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope."

I am really astounded that anybody can miss this. It's just too black and white.

Here are here more Scriptures that prove Jesus is the "I Am" Moses told us about:

Jeremiah 44:22 quotes YHWH God as saying of himself: "I've blotted out your sins; they are gone like the morning mist at noon! Oh, return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free. … for I the Lord has redeemed Jacob. …" Now I ask you again, how many redeemers do we have.

Zechariah 12:10 quotes YHWH God as saying of himself: "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for me as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for me as one grieves for a firstborn son", a clear reference to God as Jesus as he bears the sins of the world.

Isaiah 50:2 says this: "Was I to weak to save you? Is that why my house is empty when I come home? … . For I can rebuke the sea and make it dry. …" Yes, Jesus' house is empty when he comes home because we won't let him in anymore.

That is to say, for the past 1700 years our preachers have told us that it is all a big mistake for us to say that Jesus is our God. And that John 1:1 is a mistake too when it says of Jesus, "... and he was God." And that Thomas was extra mistaken when he said of Jesus in the Upper Room, "My Lord and My God."

And surely John the Baptist was mistaken when the prophet Isaiah said that he would announce to the people: "Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord's hand double for all her sins. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, 'Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.'" Meaning, that John the Baptist thought of Jesus as his Lord and God just as we do.

And too, Paul was even more mistaken when in Romans 9:5 (NLT) he said of Jesus: "... and Christ himself was an Israelite as far as his human nature is concerned. And he is God, the one who rules over everything and is worthy of eternal praise!"

And that Paul was equally mistaken when he said to Timothy, "This is good and pleases God our Savior, for he longs for all to be saved and to know this truth."

And too, Hebrews 1:8-12 was equally mistaken when it said this about Jesus as God in a human body. “... Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. … In the beginning, God, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.”

See, having more than one God is like a child who claims more than one Father. Such a thing leads to too much confusion, such as we see in the Christian Church' today. We don't' know which of our God's to pray to. Some preachers pray to the Father, while others are now praying to the Holy Spirit, making the church members even more confused; while all the time there is Jesus.

Here are some more Scriptures for your consideration:

In 1 Timothy 4:10 Paul said this of God as Jesus: "We work hard and suffer much in order that people will believe it, for our hope is in the living God who died for all, particularly for those who have accepted his salvation."

See YHWH God saved the Jews of old by bringing those who believed in him to the Promised Land. But the beauty of this land is now growing old and will one day fade away. What I am saying is, this same God has something better for us. He is bringing us to our eternal homeland, heaven.

In Titus 1:2 Paul tells us this: "So that they can have eternal life, which God promised them before the world began--and he cannot lie. And now in his own good time he has revealed this Good News to us and permits me to tell it to everyone. By command of God our Savior I have been trusted to do this for him."

See again, YHWH Jesus looked down through the annals of time and saw this very moment when he is revealing the wide and deep scope of his eternal plan to you and I, his preachers. And by his good grace he is entrusting us to teach it to his people. And this is what is taking place at this very moment.

In Titus 2:10 Paul repeats this theme that Jesus is our God by saying this of him. "...but must show themselves to be entirely trustworthy. In this way they will make people want to believe in our Savior and God. For the free gift of eternal salvation is now being offered to everyone." That is to say, it is being offered to everyone, and especially to those who choose to believe in his name.

In Titus 3:4 Paul tells us this: "But when the time came for the kindness and love of God our Savior to appear, then he saved us--not because we were good enough to be saved, but because of his kindness and pity--by washing away our sins an giving us the new joy of his indwelling Spirit."

See, these Scriptures have been in the Bible all along, but since the preachers before us did not understand what they meant, we tended not to understand, either. But now the Holy Spirit is opening them up to us by making our hearts receptive as he did for Lydia in Acts 16:14, and we can now preach this Good News to our people, too. Let's say it like this, Jesus chose us to hear and preach this Good News for such a time as this.

Please Jesus, help all who read this to understand in these troubled times.
