Bind The Strong Man.

As I have simply studied "Jesus" I have found that my questioning heart has been satisfied in my knowledge of the Son of God supplied to me by His Holy Spirit.
Thanks for adding that,I forgot the most important thing and that is that the Holy Spirit's ministry is to reveal Jesus.
That's why I check all old testament and new testament ideas through the words of Jesus.
I must admit after 28 years of study(20 of that being pretty intense because of the information becoming available on the internet) I don't understand half of what Jesus said.
What is crystal clear though is that Jesus is in absolute control of the chaos because he is not restricted by time.
He not only knows what happened but what didn't happen and what the effects of something happening would change in the timeline.
That can be the only way that all things work together for good.

I may think God is displeased with me because I didn't receive favor in a situation but when I look back in time all my seeming disasters caused a sequence of events that put something in place that saved me from real and final disaster.
When I am in the mind of Christ and I am temped to fear a little question pops up and says"do you suppose Jesus missed something?",the answer is "no" he didn't miss a thing. There is an amazingly stable peace in knowing that someone out of time who is love, life and light is in control of every particle and allows free will while using even foolish and rebellious things to work out his desires for us.

1 Corinthians 1:27 but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong,
1 Corinthians 1:28 and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,
1 Corinthians 1:29 so that no man may boast before God.…

I liked this statement of yours....1 Corinthians 1:29 so that no man may boast before God." Hey, if I receive something exciting from the Holy Spirit, why do I pretend that it came from me? Boy, that's a big problem with some Bible Teachers and Pastors. It amuses me when I hear someone state something that just the other day, I read the exact statement in a Christian magazine.

Plagiarizing is a serious sin against God and against the one of whom I'm stealing words and phrases from. The internet, if not careful, is a great hiding place for a lot of false claims and doctrines.

This is how I feel. Everything we have, are and do as a true Christian is a gift from God. To defeat Satin and put him under our feet, all the work is of the Lord in and through us; we can't share in any of it because God can't depend on us for perfection, which is a requirement to destroy the enemy. We certainly lay claim to God's justification of us, in which he credits us with things like work, blamelessness, holiness and righteousness.....not ANY of our doing but that of he who dwells in us! So, don't try to boast; this truth is according to God's will and you can't boast before him, why would you intimate to him or others that you are responsible for any of this!

This is the second time that I've read your post. What you wrote, my friend, is simply amazing! I had to read it a second time so that it would sink into my heart of understanding. I want you to know that this statement of yours is a golden nugget, worthy of remembering and quoting...."There is an amazingly stable peace in knowing that someone out of time who is love, life and light is in control of every particle and allows free will while using even foolish and rebellious things to work out his desires for us."

I really think that this came from the Holy Spirit, thru you, to my heart and for others. WELL DONE!!

Wow!! You my friend just became a great pulpit pounding preacher with your post. Especially, "Everything we have, are and do as a true Christian is a gift from God." ALSO, "To defeat Satin and put him under our feet, all the work is of the Lord in and through us; we can't share in any of it because God can't depend on us for perfection."

Hey Buddy, you just blew me away with your words. A good preacher could build at least 3 or 4 great messages out of your words for a Pastors Conference putting some of those old windbags back into their proper place.

Your post was definitely a Chopper Home Run.

Your encouragement is a gift and very humbling! If I were to"hang" one thing on my journey to understand it would be this: The Bible, theologies, scriptures, anything spiritual, if I hold to this one premise, my coarse stays true: God is somehow in control of everything and it is perfect. It is his word, his faith, his grace, salvation, justification and glorification. From before the foundation, it is all his plan. Why?
Because it is his plan and, at every level, it is a perfect plan. It leaves nothing to us or failure. With him, and for it all to work, it would require nothing less than perfection.
Jesus did not come to condemn but to save but, within the realm of perfection, Jesus didn't come down from heaven to earth as much to save, as he came down from heaven to earth, to get inside us and get us out of hell!
Thank your kindness and, for being here and all the encouragement that you give to others!

You are so welcome my old bearded Buddy. Tell you what, I only encourage folk who are worthy. I've operated in the Spirit realm so much that I can feel the workings of the Holy Spirit in others. I don't say that to brag, I say that to give all glory to my Master Jesus.

Being "in the Spirit" comes with a cost. A constant fellowship with the God of the Holy Bible, in Bible study each morning, usually at 4:00 am. I have found that my sacrifice of time in prayer and Bible study has paid off in a closeness with my God, YHWH, that I wouldn't trade for anything.

I would love to do that with you before we go to the Happy Hunting Ground!

O Brother, that would be like a preview to what we can do when we get home. I wonder if we'll have Bibles" Probably the KJV.
