Peace~

You are not abandoned..you need to abandon..

I am sure God has not abandoned you but you need to abandon yourself especially your feeling that God has abandoned you...Keep on praising God forgetting yourself...

I am so sorry you are feeling the way you are. It can completely consume you if let go. Please remember God loves each of us more than we love our own children. That is very difficult to wrap your mind around, but He does love us more than we know.
As far as God not answering prayers, I could write for hours about it but I'll share with you of few thoughts and scriptures. First thought that comes to my mind when prayers are not answered is the example of Paul who had a 'thorn in the flesh' in which he prayed to God 3 times for God to heal him. How did God respond? In 2Corinthians 12:9 His response is 'And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness...'
Paul thorn help him be more humble and 'buffeted' him.
Spreadtheword, I encourage you to take an HONEST look at EVERYTHING that is going on in your life and see what things you may fall short in. We ALL fall short of what God commands us to do. The important thing is to realize when we fall short and sin. As soon as you sin you must deeply repent of that sin in order for God to hear you prayer. Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
The final thought I'll leave you with is in Matthew 6:10 where Christ is giving us the outline prayer of how to pray. In vs 10 read closely, Thy kingdom come, Thy WILL BE DONE in earth as it is in heaven. If you are walking with God and living a life of trying to grow to be like Christ then you should know that if your prayer is not answered that it is Gods will and the outcome of the unanswered prayer undoubtably will turn out for your best interest.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Sorry to hear of your gloom sister. It has been said that God has not abandoned you. Did he not say "I will never leave you nor forsake you?" This applies to you also.

When I feel low, I put on some lively Christian music. I may go to visit friends. Good company can be an uplift.

Church I always find helps me when I feel neglected. Beginning to magnify the LOrd in Praise causes faith to arise, and recognise that God is in control.

God Bless You

God will not abadon you Spreadtheword

Hi Spreadtheword: Sometimes it sure feels like God is not watching over us and that Christ just isn't within reach. I speak for myself, but I do believe that we all feel abandoned at one point or another. God urges us to stick it out and be weaned, like a baby growing up. We are children growing up in God.
This world is tough stuff. Our only salvation is in Lord Jesus Christ, not just for the promise of Heaven, but to make it through these ugly times and even be able to be joyous and laugh.
He loves you Spreadtheword, He sent you here to talkjesus, a place where you can get good counsel.
Take care and God bless.

:sun: For times like that I like to read 1 Peter 1:3-9.
Especially verse 8: "though you have not seen him, you love him: and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him are are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy."

God does not leave his children. I am realizing that on my own right now. He answers, but it might not be the answer you think you need, or are looking for. But he always will answer. You might not want to hear or listen, but he is always there :girl_hug:
