Neh 9:15 And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them.
Neh 9:16 But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments,
Neh 9:17 And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.

Israel had seen great miracles, the manifest glory of God was constantly making clear their path and His provision was abundant. Yet in the midst of all this Holy God did for them they began to take Him for granted. They began to desire their own way and tired of following God. Even the miracles He performed on their behalf lost their impact as they became a familiar occurrence.
Let us pray lest this same condition befall us. Taking for granted the manifest presence of God and refusing to be mindful of His doings ; instead focusing on our desire, our will, our problems; this is a common trap and one we must never fall into.

Psa 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
Psa 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Psa 34:9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
Psa 34:10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

Surely Father You are my shield, my provision, my trusted friend. I taste of Thee and my soul is satisfied. I lack nothing when I draw near you and I rejoice in the center of Your will.

As their knowledge limits their faith

As their knowledge limits their faith, and their faith their experience, the human exposition and witness of what God means seldom if ever reaches the fullness of what the Word contains. We limit the Holy One of Israel perhaps most when we seek to honor Him, by thinking we know and hold in our formulas all His Word means. With its divine contents the Word infinitely exceeds our apprehension, and ever invites us to press on to perfection, and prove the deeper and higher truth there is still hidden in the old familiar Words. It is as we yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit, who it is to reveal the power of the blood and the opening of the way into the Holiest, that we shall be led to inherit this promise too, in all its divine significance- sin put away by the sacrifice of Himself.

Consider Jesus

He will at each moment guard and keep His house, and maintain His works within it. Claim boldly and expect confidently that Christ the Son will be faithful over His house as Moses the servant was over his. And when difficulty arises : But how always to maintain this boldness and glorying of hope, just remember the answer the Epistle gives, Consider Jesus, who was faithful. Yes just consider Jesus! How faithful , even unto death, He was to God in all that He had given Him to do for us. Let that be the assurace that He. who is still the same Lord, will be no less faithful in all the blessed work He can now do in us, if we hold fast our boldness and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.

Heb 9:8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

It was He who ordered the veil as the token the way was not opened. It was He who, by the yearly entrance of the high priest, gave the prophesy that it would one day be opened. It was Him who prepared a body for Him, and later on filled Him who was to be the opener of the way. It was He, the eternal Spirit, through whom Christ offered Himself as the sacrifice who's blood He might enter in. It was He the Spirit of Holiness through whom Christ was raised from the dead and exalted to the throne of God. It was the Holy Spirit who, when the way had been opened, came out from the Holiest of all on the day of Pentecost, to impart to men the life and power of the glorified Christ. It is He who today still presides over the way of the Holiest, leading in all who are willing to dwell there.

Andrew Murray

Many believers never in experience enter into this life of the inner sanctuary, the more complete and abiding nearness of God. They have in the outer court seen the alter, and received pardon of sin; they have entered upon the service of God, they seek to do His will, but the joy of His abiding presence they know not. And very often they do not know there is a better life, that there is an entering within the veil, a real dwelling in the secret of God's presence; the need of the Holy Spirit to signify to them, work in them the conviction that the way into the Holiest has not yet been manifest. They need- oh let us, if we have not yet entered in, let us give ourselves to pray for- the discovery that there is an inner chamber:
Andrew Murray

Let us boldly enter His presence my friends. Let us learn the Way of the Master, including Him in every aspect of our lives. Dwelling in His glorious presence whether we are working, playing, resting or any other activity. Let us learn this truth; nothing can separate us from our Lord but our own choices. Truly He spared no expense that we could once again enter into the precious fellowship that was lost long ago in the garden. How many times do we compartmentalize this and reserve it for special times an occasions? He has made open the Way; He has called us to enter; He has given us the right to take every step of our walk in complete communion with Him, should we settle for less? Dare we settle for less?
Are we not called to pray without ceasing? This is not a call to recite preconceived words but an invitation to commune with Him continually in our thought life; yielding every moment to His leading; laying every issue at His feet; praising Him continually om no matter what the circumstance.
My friends the Joy of the Lord is our strength. His presence alone is the source of that strength; should we (dare we) take even one small step devoid of the strength, life and joy that His presence imparts?
Many blessings on your day and in His Name, your brother Larry.

The Gifts without the Fruits

The Gifts without the Fruits

Some thoughts on the subject;

There are 9 gifts of the Spirit:

1Co 12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
1Co 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
1Co 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
1Co 12:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

As gifts they are freely given to the body of Christ and are not earned but received by faith.

There are 9 fruits of the Spirit:
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

These are manifest as one abides in the Vine. The Vine (Christ) imparts life and one is nourished, grows and finally begins to bear fruit.

While both gifts and the fruit of the Spirit are as essential to the body of Christ today as they ever were the gifts profit little without the fruit:
1Co 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
1Co 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
1Co 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
1Co 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
1Co 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
1Co 13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
1Co 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Until the body of Christ finds itself walking in the love of Christ we cannot accomplish or calling nor can we see eternal consequences from our actions.
As a body we are called to :

Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Eph 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

If we but walk in this divine love of Christ towards each other as well as the body will be built up and the world will sit up and take notice. It is the love of God they lack in their lives and it’s display will cause them to come running.
Selah.

How much more

Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

We must not regard the cleansing in the blood of Christ as the end, the final end of redemption. It is only the beginning, the means to a higher end- the fitness for the service of the Living God. It is the restoration to the fellowship of Him has life and gives life. The blood cleanses from dead works, the works of the Law and of self, with it’s own efforts; it brings into a living relation to the Living God. God in His fellowship, a life in His love and service, the Living God and the enjoyment of His presence, - this is the aim of redemption.

Andrew Murray.

why many Christians have never entered into the full jo

One great reason why many Christians have never entered into the full joy and power of redemption, into life within the veil, is that they seek it for themselves. Let us beware lest we seek the access into the Holiest, the joy of unclouded fellowship with God, the power of blood to cleanse, only for the sake of our advance into holiness or happiness. The whole appointment of the sanctuary and the priests was that these might be men who could come before God to minister to Him, and then go out and bless their fellow men.
Christ entered through His blood within the veil, to go and serve; to be a minister in the sanctuary in the power of the blood, by which He could cleanse others and admit them too within the veil.

Andrew Murray

Exo 25:21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
Exo 25:22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

Only when the Blood of the Lamb is applied will the Oil of God flow. Only when the blood is applied to the Mercy Seat covering the Law can man and God meet.
Any other way leads to one thing and that is death.
Man's way,
Man's work,
Man's effort no matter how noble it appears is but filthy flesh trying to justify itself.

Exo 25:31 And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same.
Exo 25:32 And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side:
Exo 25:33 Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick.

The Golden Candlestick was the only light to be used to walk and work in the presence of God inside His holy place. The candlestick had six branches, six being the number of man as our Lord came to earth in human form with a seventh at it's center (seven the number of God's perfection) signifying the deity of this God man. The gold was not cast beaten signifying the stripes our Lord would bear.
The almond tree or resurrection tree as the Hebrews called it due to it's tendency to be the first to sprout and bear fruit at winter's end represented the our Lord as the first fruits from the dead.
Joh 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

Walking with God- the Impact and the fruit

Walking with God- the Impact and the fruit Job was a man who walked in maturity and wisdom before his God. In his lament we can see the results of that walk on the lives of those around him. Job 29:3 When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness; Job 29:4 As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle; Job was a man who walked after God’s way and at His leading. The secret was found here; the secret of God ; the manifest Presence of God was his hiding place. From this source and this source alone we will see the impact this man of God had on his world. Job 29:5 When the Almighty was yet with me, when my childrenwere about me; Job 29:6 When I washed my steps with butter,and the rock poured me out rivers of oil; God’s blessing richly encompassed all that Job touched and the Rock (Christ 1 Corinthians 10:4 ) poured out the Rivers of Oil (the presence of the Holy Spirit). Literally the presence of God went with Job everywhere he trod. Job 29:7 When I went out to the gate through the city, when I prepared my seat in the street! Job 29:8 The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, and stood up. Job 29:9 The princes refrained talking, and laid their hand on their mouth. Job 29:10 The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth. The pride of man was silenced as he walked in the wisdom and counsel of God. No enemy could stand before him. In his life we can see many of the attributes of the Rock : Job 29:11 When the earH241 heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me: Job spoke with the wisdom that comes from abiding in heart of Christ Job 29:12 Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. Job’s heart reflected the mercy that flows from the heart of Christ Job 29:13 The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. Job walked in the love which flows from the heart of Christ. Job 29:14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem. Job walked in the righteousness that flows from the presence of Christ, that is sanctification Job 29:15 I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame. Job 29:16 I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out. Job manifest the gift of helps, his giving heart showed the love if God that flows in the living heart of Jesus To summarize; Job walked in the presence of God. His blessing was abundant. His presence was abundant. His heart was expressed in wisdom, mercy, love, sanctification and giving. One question remains; are we walking in this manifest Presence of God? If so there will be fruit.

dead works still prevail

If we find that in service dead works still prevail, and that prayer and preaching, in home life and work around us, the duties of religion are performed without the power of the life and Spirit of God, let us learn the lesson- it is only the effectual cleansing through the Eternal Spirit, of the blood that has been taken into the Holiest, that can fit us to serve the Living God.
The blood gives cleansing form dead works, the works of the Law and of self, with it's own efforts;

Andrew Murray

Sin in it's deepest root is turning from God to self; rejecting God to please self. From the wilderness to the garden this was the one temptation with which Satan sought to lead him astray. By not doing His own will but the will of His Father, by the sacrifice of Himself to God and His will, He conquered sin in His own person and gained a victory over it whereby it was forever vanquished and brought to naught.
Andrew Murray

It is as we give up our whole heart and life to be just one act of faith, looking and longing, praising and expecting, and receiving what God gives and works in Christ that this life in the Holiest will be ours.

Andrew Murray

2Co 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

Unless my lips have been bearing the fruit of love and worship and fellowship with the Father, they will be dead lips when I attempt to unfold the Word to the body of Christ.

Heb 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

The Lord Jesus Christ sits in heaven with a complete confidence in this: the will of the Father will be done and nothing can stop that.

Psa 62:5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

David was a "man after God's own heart. He also had an expectation of blessings; his eyes were fixed firmly on the Lord and this birthed a confidence, an assurance that he would have a victory through the Lord His God.

So then the questions are these;
What are you expectations- blessings or cursing?
What do you have faith in- circumstance of God's favor?
What your sense tell you- or the sure Word of God?

There is a place of rest and refreshing in Christ. A place were we cease from striving and walk in the grace He has given us:
Isa 35:1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
Isa 35:2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.
Isa 35:3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
Isa 35:4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
Isa 35:5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Isa 35:6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
Isa 35:7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

Truly He has made a way for us:
Isa 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
Isa 35:9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
Isa 35:10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

In this place of rest we find peace, we find assurance of our God's loving hand. This is a place where one can surrender completely without fear or apprehension.

So then those questions still remain- what are your expectations and who (or what) are they from?
Selah.

Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

He was not only perfected Himself but He perfected us; He took us into the fellowship of His own perfectness, implanted His own perfect life in us, and gave His perfected human nature to us that we were to put on and live in.

Andrew Murray

Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Heb 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Heb 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

By one sacrifice. One because there is none other needed, either by others or Himself; one divine, and therefore sufficient and forever.

Andrew Murray.

Prepare ye the way

Isa 32:15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
Until we yield to the moving of the Holy Spirit. Until that heavenly plow breaks our fallow ground, until we live and move in that heavenly flow will not see the treasure that our heavenly Father sees in us. Our God looks at us and sees Jesus Christ His Son; His life in us, His fruit through us, His wisdom , His love.

Isa 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Isa 40:4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

Have you heard the Spirit of God. Has He been calling out from the wilderness of your flesh?
Prepare ye the way.
Everything that is lifted up and exalted shall be brought low and humbled.
Everything that is depressed and downcast will be healed and lifted up.

Isa 40:5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Such a transformation from wilderness to fruitful field will glorify God. He shall be seen in the midst of it and all will be drawn to His presence.

Isa 32:16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
Isa 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

This yielded life, once a wilderness is now His work is a lasting work. His peace, His righteousness manifest. No storm shall disquiet the heart that trusts in Him.
Selah.
